"All quiet on this side of the city. Caelum, how things in your district?" WordGirl asks.
"Whole lot of nothing going on tonight...,wait a minute...,that doesn't look right." Caelum begins.
"What is it?" MathWiz asks.
"Four figures clad in full body armor and helmets. I can't identify them, but the markings are somewhat familiar." Caelum states.
"Hold on, we're coming." WordGirl states. The two take to the skies.

"Who are they?" MathWiz asks as the quartet watches the armored quartet.
"I don't know, but they aren't from around here." Caelum states. They see one of them smash in a window. The four decide that was their cue and attack.
"Who are you?" WordGirl states but receives a punch to the nose knocking her down. MathWiz's eyes widen realizing they were in for the fight of their lives. He turns to try and help WordGirl but a second kicks him in the gut. Caelum takes a more defensive stance.
"Ok! Whoever the hell you are, I don't appreciate strangers attacking me for no good reason! You think you can come to Earth and push us around!?" Caelum states and a third grabs him and tosses him like a rag doll. Caelum gets back up and the two start fighting.
"Care to identify yourselves?" Emma states but she receives a kick to the head which she barely avoids. "Guess not." Emma retorts and throws her own kick at the fourth.
'This one seems to know my moves from memory. Are they new X weapons?' Caelum thinks.
"Any suggestions?" WordGirl asks as she and MathWiz fight back to back.
"Not at the moment, but when I get a brilliant idea, I'll let you know!" he replies defending himself from his attacker's attacks. Caelum and Emma copy Team Alphanumeric's strategy and they too fight back to back.
"Any idea who these guys are!?" WordGirl shouts to Caelum.
"Whoever they are, they know our moves to damn well!" Caelum shouts back.
"Their armor seems to be made from Lexadromium or some sort of super alloy." Emma reports.
"No wonder we can't put a dent in it." WordGirl growls. She is lifted off her feet as well as MathWiz and team Alphanumeric is thrown and crashes into Caelum and Emma. The four lay their in an unconscious heap. The four walk through a blue portal and vanish.

"The incursion was a success. our counterparts didn't stand a chance." 2X² states after taking off his helmet.
"Once again you've proven why you're the smartest human on this planet, Tobey." Empress Zaniah states.
"Thank you my Empress." Tobey says shutting down the machine.
"Of course my Tobey is the best human on this planet." Violet says wrapping her arms around Tobey.
"Those fools didn't know what hit them." X² states smirking.
"What is our next move, Empress?" X³ asks.
"The Alphanumeric Empire shall extend itself into that alternate dimension. You did good in finding out that we could breach into it." Zaniah says with a saucy grin.
"It was that fool Two Brains from both ours and their realities. He time traveled here and over there. The same person time traveling makes it possible for the two time lines to be easily bridged. But how are we going to hold two universes?" Tobey asks.
"Once we take out our counterparts in that reality, we shall bring our forces through and enslave that Earth, Lexicon, and Decimal. Plus, we've got the recourses of the Consortium and The Archive. I think we can make our extension work." she finishes and gives 2X² a tongue kiss. He relaxes into his Empress's embrace. He knew his place well.

"Ugh, what the hell happened?" Caelum asks.
"We got defeated by an unknown force." Emma states.
"How did they beat us!?" Caelum fumes.
"They must be...," MathWiz says but WordGirl's phone goes off.
"WordGirl here," she answers.
"WordGirl, it's Professor Tubing. You might want to drop by as soon as you can. I think we've got a problem." Professor Tubing says.
"Alright, we're on our way." WordGirl states and cuts the connection.
"Why do I get the feeling that we're about to find out our attackers' identities?" Caelum states and the four take off.

"I've picked up several temporal disturbances. It seems that Dr. Two Brains has been making trips to the past and future. Now watch." Tubing says and the four see a second line cross Two Brains's path through time.
"What is that indicating?" Emma asks.
"That is Two Brains in another time line doing the exact same thing. Apparently, he went into the past about 14 years. ago." Tubing explains.
"That's when I came to Earth." WordGirl says.
"Yes. Notice that the alternate Two Brains didn't go into the future. Care to guess why?" Tubing asks.
"Oh no, he didn't." WordGirl says her eyes widening.
"He took you off whatever doorstep Huggy left you at and raised you as his own. He probably triggered the same accident that fused that mouse brain to his head in that reality and Two Brains raised that version of you as his own."
"Then what we got attacked by were...," WordGirl begins.
"Our alternate selves." Caelum finishes. "What the hell are we going to do? How do we beat ourselves!?"
"And how are they that strong and why would our alternate selves hide like that?" MathWiz states.
"Probably didn't want us finding out who they were." Emma replies.
"Then, we've just have to get better." WordGirl states.
"But how did they breach into...,Tobey!" MathWiz states.
"Yes. Who knows what that reality is like with evil versions of the four of us." WordGirl says.
"We better then deal with Krog and my mother soon. We don't need her and that goon of hers helping them." Caelum states.
"Nor Mr. Big or the ring." Emma adds.
"My counterpart probably got her Two Brains thrown in jail permanently and now has control over...,oh my gosh, she could have control of the galaxy on that side." The others in the lab realize that they could facing a combined threat of an alternate Lexicon, Decimal, Earth, and the Consortium. Things couldn't look more bleak.
