psychojuggalo: Thanks. I couldn't remember that album name. Here's the next chapter and don't be shy about reviewing my other stuff.

Daria sighed to herself. It appeared that she and Quinn would have to show the 'adults' just how childish they were acting. Before she could implement her plan though, she saw the lights of a car shin in through the window as it turned into the driveway.
"Whoa, expensive looking car," Quinn commented. "Tom finally traded in that piece of junk he drives?"
"That's a Crown Vic..." Daria began and saw the large man get out of the car. He was all muscle and not a bit of fat on him. "Oh my god,"
"What?"
"That's..." Daria gulped, "that's General Barksdale."
"General Barksdale? you men mom's dad?" Quinn said in disbelief.
"Yes. He's a hard nosed general, say nothing unless he speaks to you and stand at attention," Daria spoke quickly and opened the door and quickly stood at attention herself.
"I see that Helen at least knows how to teach her daughters to have proper respect," the general began, Quinn noting the deep Southern accent in his voice.
"Your daughters are in the kitchen, sir," Daria reported.
"At ease, and you said 'my daughters'? All of them are here? Their mother here too?" he asked.
Daria relaxed her posture, "Your wife isn't here, but your children are, sir."
"Then, I better go stop the fighting," he said and marched in through the front door, through the living room, and into the kitchen. Daria breathed a sigh of relief to herself.
"Uh..." Quinn began.
"While our grandfather on our father's side is an ass, getting on the bad side of the mountain that just walked in the door is something one must stay far away from doing," Daria explained.
"I thought he was dead," Quinn let out.
"The angel of death is probably scared of that man. He probably make him do 20 push-ups," Daria commented.

"Cease fire!"
The three sisters stopped in mid argument. They turned and saw their father standing there in his dress uniform. Helen was shocked, Rita looked ready to faint and Amy was passive for the moment.
"Father? What are you doing here?" Rita asked in a timid voice.
"I got second hand knowledge that your daughter was getting a divorce...I wanted to get confirmation of this and since I was in the area I decided to make a surprise visit," the general said.
"Well, they are having their second honeymoon. Apparently they made up and are in Sweden at the moment," Amy reported. Helen could tell though that Amy's tone had an undercurrent of ice.
"And, I'm glad the three of you are here, it gives me the chance to clear the air. I don't want anything lingering after I go up to the military base in the sky," he said and looked at Amy. "I'm sorry."
The other two women in the room gasped. They had never heard their father apologize for anything, to anyone. Amy looked shocked.
"The way you were treated by myself was inexcusable. I treated you worse than a green cadet. I took my anger on your mother telling me over the phone that you were a boy out on you and you did nothing to deserve that."
"Father," Amy began, "I...I don't know what to say."
"I just wanted you to know that my actions have no excuse. You deserved nothing I piled upon you. I drove you two hunker down in your room. You weren't the money spender that Rita is and you weren't the hippy that Helen turned into."
Helen an Rita turned red at that comment. It was apparent that their father was mending this bridge with his youngest daughter, but why?
"Thank you," Amy said, not knowing what else to say.
"I suppose the curse is still in tact?" the general asked and in answer, Amy shifted to her werecat form.
"It is," she answered.
"I hereby give you permission to tell the next one in line for the curse," he said.
"wait a minute, there's no evidence..." Helen began but her father turned on her.
"Speak when you are spoken to!" he barked. It had been so loud that Daria and Quinn heard it. They had sat to watch television, hoping to stay out of it, but when their grandfather barked like that, they both jumped a little.
"I doubt your eldest daughter knows about the curse, and since she probably hasn't been told, Amy needs to. Now, I must take my leave. I need to be back at the Pentagon tomorrow," he said and turned on his heel and marched out of the room.

"Look, I'll talk to you tomorrow, right now..." Daria said, talking to Tom who was standing beside his car out in the driveway.
"And who is this soldier?" he asked. Tom looked quite nervous.
"Tom Slone," Daria introduced.
"Slone? I heard about a cadet by that name that lived near here that dodged the draft," the general said. Tom was about to say something, but Daria gave him a harsh blow to the stomach and he clammed up.
"You probably need to get back to the Pentagon," Daria said, hoping to deflect his attention.
"Yes, I've delayed myself long enough," he said, climbed into his white car and rove off.
"Why did you..."
"He would have made you do sit-ups in the driveway for a smart remark you were about to make."
"I wanted to..."
"Defend your father dodging the draft? You couldn't. He'd make you cry and do push-ups at the same time."

Daria sighed as she came into her room. She then saw her aunt sitting on the edge of her bed, in her werecat form.
"Uh..."
"It's time you learned about our family's curse. Since Helen is unwilling..." Amy began and Helen exploded into the room.
"You have know proof that I gave my daughter the curse," Helen began.
"All women in our family are carriers, Helen. It's just the cynics that are actually cursed," Amy countered.
"What is this curse?" Daria asked.
"A long time ago..." Amy began and went into her explanation.
888
"And that's the whole story," Amy finished.
"Great, no wonder why I could so easily start acting like Quinn," Daria said.
"You don't have the curse though," Helen bit back. Amy rolled her eyes.
"That's because the moon hasn't hit her yet," she said and parted the curtains. She turned out the light and the light from the full moon came in.
"Ugh..." Daria said and felt the change.
"Don't fight it," Amy encouraged.
"No," Helen whispered in disbelief, seeing her daughter change.
"Mrow?" Daria let out.
"You are number seven, if I am correct," Amy said.
"How long are we cursed for?" Daria asked.
"There is no way of breaking the curse," Amy answered. "We are all stuck like this. We can control the transformation, but it is hard not to let it out a times, especially during the full moon."
888
"And that's the whole stupid story," Daria finished relaying the ordeal to Jane.
"Hmmmm, I'm having a hard time in believing in this supposed curse," Jane began and Daria shifted.
"Evidence enough for you?" she asked.
"I was right," Jane said with a smirk, "you were both the lady and the tiger."
"Lion, my hair becomes thicker in this form making it look like a mane from a male lion's head."
"Hmmm, care to pose for me, naked?" Jane asked.
"You know I can kill you very easily in this form," Daria threatened.
"Hmmmm, I guess we could go to costume parties now," Jane remarked and Daria rolled her eyes.
"Hey Janie..." Trent began, coming through the door. He stopped and saw the sight before him. He scratched his head, shook his head in disbelief, and went back to his room, mumbling to himself that he needed to start eating real food.
"You're purring," Jane commented.
"What?" Daria asked, confused. Jane started laughing.
"You still want Trent!" she cackled.
"Lane!"
"Hey, it's not my fault you want to lap at my brother like a saucer of milk."
"Come here," she growled and started chasing Jane.
