Relaxation
Note: Yeah...sorry.. Really. School started again.. I got distracted, and tons of other stuff. xD I'm not dead, but you might think of me as dead. Oh well. I realized my story has gotten some reviews. (Thanks a ton!) and I decided to get my ass to work on it again. I will try to get this story started again. I'm really eager to get the yummy stuff, I'm too lazy at the moment to spell check. I will do it when I feel like it. xD
~*Chapter 7*~
The house was dark. Nearly no light showed it preseance. It was the kind of dark that intimidated your eyes, causing you to blink, looking for the outline of objects in the room. The kind that made your brain stop and think for no reason.
The darkness dissapeared as Dib flicked the lights on. Now the light made him blink more then the darkness did. It hurt his eyes for several seconds, then faded.
Everything could be seen now- the beautiful room filled with nice furniture, the walls painted a nice, relaxing tan, and somewhat orange color. You can see the big windows with the clean curtains hanging in front. You can see the nice big television screen..
You can see every beautiful aspect of the room.
Dib have seen this room so many times, it was nothing, but normal to him. Sadning really- he had the perfect house. It was big, beautiful, and everything any person would want.
But he didn't care for it.
He somewhat missed his old house that he lived in. The house where he and his sister used to live in together where their father would spend days on end outside the household. The house where Dib lived in years ago. The house he lived in..
When Zim was still part of his life.
He missed it all. He missed the house. He missed the over-crowded, loud street he lived on. He missed the eerie Skool, he missed everything, including the insane, somewhat homocidal alien that he would get into a fight with day after day.
Dib isn't that person he was back then anymore. He had contacts now, and ditched those over sized glasses. His black hair grew longer around his sides. It isn't the over long emo hair- not at all. It was perfect. The long sythe grew more angles also.
His personality is somewhat the same, little more mature though. And his eyes stayed the same, nice, passionate amber.
He grew into the kind of guys girls want at first sight. And it sure as hell happened. As he grew into this kind of man, he turned no where near a virgin as he grew. Sex became nothing more then a routine to him. Eventually, it became to boring for him to bear. There was no amazing feeling. There was no enjoyment.
So he decided not to even bother with it any longer.
Dib layed his back on his couch, and damnit, it felt too good. He hasn't been able to relax for the longest time. Ever since Zim left, he became to bored, he decided to offer help at his father's lab. He has worked there ever since.
The question if Dib liked working there was a wonder to Dib himself. He gets payed well, well enough to afford the beautiful house he lives in. He works with nice people. The job is quite easy.
But yet, Dib somewhat hates it. He doesn't know why. He just realized why when he saw Tak being dragged in and have to be going through horrible tests. He hated it because it goes againts everything Dib stood for in the past. The Paranormal.
"Tak.." the male whispered to himself as he just layed there.
Dib doesn't like Tak. He truely doesn't. He thought she was always too serious about everything. She wasn't the kind of person who can cheer you up after a hard day.Not the person to have a long cuddle with. She was too serious, and insane with it all.
The only reason he really talks to her now is simple. She reminds Dib of Zim. Which is odd indeed. Her eyes are nothing like Zim's eyes were. Her eyes only show anger.. hatred. No life and happiness what-so-ever. Deep, violet.
Zim's eyes were more. His eyes expressed more than just hatred and anger. Dib remembers seeing excitement, and on rare occasions, happiness in those red eyes of his. Tak's eyes were always narrowed in anger. Zim's were round with any expression he felt.
Dib tried to remmember what Zim looked like in his thoughts, using his memories as referances.
"DAMNIT!" His fists smashed into a pillow at his side. "Why can't I remember him?!"
His hands rested on his forhead. He was so frustrated. Zim was the one who gave excitement in his life. He was the one who made Dib see a purpose in the Paranormal. And he can't even remember Zim!
He could just remember the memory perfectly of when he realized Zim would no longer be there...
Goddamnit.. Where is he?! He hasn't appeared in Skool for almost a week!
Zim dissapeared all of a sudden. Dib stopped seeing the green skin in Skool.
Nothing has happened recently. If he was up to something in the past week, something should have happened recently. It's like everything is standing still.
It's like none of his 'evil' plans were even in affect.
It's not possible. His base is completely empty! His defences aren't even activated. Gir isnt there, sitting on the sofa watching TV like he normally was. Zim wasn't found underground in his Lab! What the fuck happened? Did he..leave?
No, it's not possible! It's not like Zim to just give up! He would never give up, it's not part of his personality. It can't be possible..
Could it?
It was true. The alien was gone. Just dissapeared without a word...a warning. Nothing. Was it his way of telling Dib, 'You've won'?
"Goddamnit Zim! How fucking dare you leave me here without saying anything!" the male screamed. His head was in circles. His thoughts all mixed up. Memories mixed with thoughts. It was so stressful for Dib. This happened to him whenever he had time to think to himself.
Which lead him back to Tak. She was the only thing that reminded Dib of what Zim looked like. Green skin.. Gummy like spheres as eyes.. Long, unique lekku resting out behind the head.
Dib soon found himself smiling. "What the fuck am I doing? I'm using a vicous, purple eyed female as a referance to Zim! Ha! How stupid of me."
He really didn't care if Tak died in the labs. He only acted like he cared to resist having Tak baw at him about how much of an evil human he is for not helping her. He hated Tak. Although he hated her, he didn't want to take part of testing on her. He honestly didn't know why.
Dib's stomach cried out to him. He was so lost in thoughts, he forgot how hungry he was. Too lazy to make anything, he just poured some cereal in a bowl. He hated cooking food when he was hungry. He just wanted his food in front of him quickly.
He took his cereal back to his couch and turned on the TV. Nothing was on. Nothing was ever on. But he just left it on some show talking about murder.
He sighed. "It's shows like these that make people think that there is no good in the world." He was right. All there was on the news was murder and death. It's almost as if there were no good left. No peace. No love. No sanity.
That's because there was none left. It's just a huge planet filled with disasters that happened so often, that it became nothing new at all. Teenagers having sex at young ages (having Dib in that topic). Murder at every corner. The human race just completely destroying the planet they live on with no thought of it at all.
Dib just stared at the television with no eagerness in his expression. Lips forming a bored frown, eyes all amber and bored. Hands formed into a fist that rested his head.
Apparently, a 12 year old girl was raped and was stabbed to death for enjoyment on the television.
"Boring.. I've heard it all." And with that, the remote was used to turn off the television. "I'm so bored. I finally get to relaxe, and there's nothing to do!"
He smashed a pillow into his face with boredom. He threw the pillow to his side and stared into his cieling. He IS suppose to go see his doctor in 10 minutes, but Dib honestly couldn't give two shits about it. He already knew his health.
Name: Dib Membrane
Age: 20
Height: 6 Feet, 3 inches.
Weight: 157 lbs.
And other boring medical shit. Dib knew it all. He found no need to go see the doctor. Just a waste of time.
Dib closed his eyes and began to daydream. Where Zim was still in his life. Or perhaps Dib would have a wife that actually loved him for what he was, and not his looks. He imagined the perfect life. And with that he fell into slumber.
2 hours have passed, and the male was still asleep. It was beginning to get dark, and everything was quiet. While everything was still in time, the ringing of the telephone completely broke the perfect silence. Dib's eyes began fidgeting, and eventually slowely opened. "Nnnngh..."
He really didn't want to get up. He was comfterable and warm where he was. His eyelids were heavy, and he wanted to go to sleep. But that damn phone of the never ending kept ringing, and began to piss Dib off. He slowely got up from the couch and went over to his phone. and stared at it with a hateful expression. Pressing the 'Talk' button, he brought the phone up to his phone.
"...Hello..."
"Dib! You sound horrible. Did I disturb you in anything important?"
"No, dad. You just totally woke me up in a perfect sleep- Nothing to piss me off." You could just hear the sarcasism in his tone.
His father fell in silence for several seconds and began to talk again. "Well, wake the hell up. We need your help in the lab."
"Ooooh no! There's no way in hell im skipping my only day off for months to come back to the lab."
"I'm serious Dib.The testing alien dissapeared and everyone is freaking out. We need your help to find her, alright? Get your lazy ass down here."
Dib just stared into nothing. Tak's gone? How did she just dissapear? "Any idea how she got out of her test tube?"
"Not really. I mean, two scientists said they saw her with that.. er. What's his name..? Nathan, I think. They said she was with him. We're looking for him right now. But really, I have no idea who he is."
Dib's expression was just completely lost. "That Nathan guy? Red hair, green eyes?.. Meh, what the hell. I'll come down and find the guy for ya."
"Great. Hurry now. The sooner we find the creature, the better."
And with that, the call ended.
