Who's that?" Quinn asked seeing another car pulling up.
"Aunt Amy," Daria replied somewhat surprised to see her. Then, another figure, this one with greying auburn hair came out of the passenger side door.
"I don't mind a few dings, but change the station and you're a dead man," Amy told the valet who drove off in order to park the car.
Helen and Rita's eyes were staring in shock at the other woman with their sister.
"Amy, I thought you weren't coming," Rita began.
"Well, I couldn't miss the blood sport between you and Helen," Amy replied and Daria smirked.
"Speaking of sisters, where is my own sister? I wanted to yell at her for wasting the family fortune on something that Rita should be spending her money on, or the family of the husband should at least be helping pay," the older auburn sniped.
'Catrina, why is she here? Are they gong to tell Daria...no, I can't let that happen. She'll just become more anti-social if she finds out the truth about our family!' Helen furiously thought.

"I hate myself in a formal dress, and everyone else as well," Amy said to her niece. 'You're not that thrilled about being here either either are you?"
"No."
"So, you're in college now?"
"No, high school, unfortunately."
"Hmmmm, I've got some vague memories of high school. You guys carry weapons now don't you?"
"Not to social gatherings like this."
"That's where you've make your mistake." Amy replied with a smirk and Daria returned it. The door opened and the greying auburn came in.
"Bathrooms, the only place one can get privacy from the stupidity of the world."
"Catrina, if you're about to..."
"Sorry, but I can't hold it in anymore," Catrina said and she changed into her werecat form.
"I don't think Helen has told Daria about that particular family secret," Amy explained.
Catrina growled, "She knows good and well that she must tell her. The responsibility falls to her first."
"What...?" Daria asked and Amy shifted into her own werecat form.
"True, but I don't have the right to tell her, but you're the Alpha werecat, if anyone has the authority to tell her about the curse then it's you," Amy replied.
"Mrrrr...if my calculations are correct, she's the seventh to carry the curse," Catrina remarked.
"Curse? Would one of you please tell me what is going on around here?" Daria demanded.
"Sorry cub, not here. Amy, you think that phone of yours can find us a seafood place...a good seafood place?" Catrina asked.
"I figured we'd be eating from the ocean so I've already did the research," Amy answered.
"Good, come with us, we'll explain everything," Catrina said after shifting back to her normal form.
"Well, I've got nothing better to do," Daria replied.
"Good, and make sure you've got your appetite," Amy added and the three left the bathroom.

"Seven generations ago, a curse was placed on our family. All daughters that have Barksdale blood are effected by this curse. There are only three personality types that are dominate among our family, the work 'til you drop type that your mother is, the shallow and superficial which Rita and Quinn are, and the cynic, witch is what the three of us are," Catrina explained as the three ate.
"This is..." Daria began but couldn't find the right word to describe what she was hearing.
"Far fetched? Yes, it is, but true. The werecat part of the curse comes from the fact that a Barksdale eight generations ago married that was being pursued by what one in this century would call a witch," Catrina continued.
"A witch>?" Daria questioned disbelievingly.
"The curse is real. I've always believed that the curse was from someone that worshipped Satan, but it's hard to find out about things pertaining to the acult from back then," Catrina explained.
"And I have this curse as well? Does my mother know about this?" Daria questioned.
"Oh yeah, she does, but I believe I know why she didn't tell you. She probably thought you'd become more anti-social if you found out about the curse," Amy answered.
"I already don't fit in at school so how much more anti-social could I get?" Daria questioned.
"You'd become a reclusive like me," Catrina said after finishing off another shrimp.
"Your great aunt lives up in the Georgia mountains, on a piece of property that is owned by the Barksdales. It's reserved for the werecat members of our family," Amy answered.
"My head hurts," Daria said and began to rub her temples.
"It's a lot to take in, I now, but as you've seen, it's all true," Amy assured Daria.
"Great, and just how am I supposed to hide this whenever I change for the first time?" Daria asked.
"You'll not change until the first full moon after your eighteenth birthday," Catrina explained.
"That's good to know, I guess. I'll just have to make sure I'm not around anyone when it happens or I might end up in some zoo," Daria commented.
"Who's the boy?" Catrina asked.
"Huh?" Daria asked.
"I smelt a male around his early twenties on you...who's the boy?" the eldest werecat asked.
"Jane's older brother, Trent," she answered.
"Don't go thinking that you'll find your husband in this one to start with. If you do think like in the beginning you'll just end up becoming more cynical than you already are," Catrina remarked.
"I just don't like feeling like I'm turning into Quinn," Daria said looking down at the empty plate in front of her.
"Remember, Like my sister Rita, Quinn is flighty. You won't be distracted by someone else so easily," Amy said.
"Hmmmm, she does share a lot of Rita's traits..." Daria observed.
"Yes, it is easy for someone outside the family to think that I'm Amy's mother and Amy's your mother," Catrina explained.
"So, should we go back to the blood bath?" Amy asked.
"No, by now they've all have gotten drunk and the police has probably shown up to carry someone off. I'd suggest going and finding some sake to drink, but this one's too young," Catrina finished the statement with a look at Daria.
"Uhhh," Daria began unsure of why they would want sake.
"Another trait our branch shares is a hollow leg. We can drink anyone under the table," Amy explained.
"does this also include being too short to have breasts at my cup size?" Daria asked wishing for some pain killers.
"Not usually, see if you can con him into giving you back rubs," Catrina said with a smile and Daria blushed and Amy smirked.
"How do I go about killing a werecat?" Daria growled to herself.
"You can't. I'm the eldest and have been living in my form for a lot of the latter half of my life cub. Now, let's go, I've ad my fill," Catrina said and the three auburn haired cynics left.
