Chapter 4 Part A

~Some scenes in the flashback have several days, years, or even decades between them. In my dream they actually weren't in order at all, so be glad I do that at least for you guys!~

I divided Chapter 4 into parts. I'm having major writers block writing the future Bee x Blurr in this flashback, but I wanted to show off what I had so far!

Blurr x Bee

"Bee! Come're! Some Elite Guard are on the news!" called Sari from down the hall. Bumblebee blinked and then quickly skated over, "Blurr's there too!"

"Several of the bots were seen earlier today having some form of meeting," said the news reporter as a helicopter shot showed several bots, all with red Elite logos, "Here with a theory on what the meeting was about is political analyst Samuel Wise."

"Were you told about this meeting?" asked Sari from where she sat on the couch. She scooted over to give Bee room to sit, but the yellow bot stayed standing.

"No... no I wasn't," Bee replied, his expression was on of confusion. He had one optic brow raised and his mouth a bit open. It didn't make any sense they would leave him out of an important meeting.

"From what our local hero Sari Sumac has told us, the robots are in a civil war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. The 'Elite Guard' as the call them were the Autobots military and government of sorts," the political analyst explained. "From what we know, the Autobots that have been defending Earth are stray refugess from their home planet. They aren't 'Elite' at all. The Elite Guard was mostly wiped out by the Decepticons. While the Autobots have been helping us, The Elite Guard have been staying at the sidelines, sometimes backing up 'Earth's Autobots.' However, the Elite Guard has clearly separated themselves from the Autobots."

"What does this mean to us 'Earthlings' Sam?" asked the reporter on television.

"How could they have a meeting without us?" asked Bumblebee, he crossed his arms and looked annoyed at the TV screen, "We've been sending out our bots to protect all the major space bridges. We've kept Megatron from getting AllSpark fragments, and-" Bumblebee was cut off by Sari shushing him, she turned up the volume on the TV more.

"This meeting had three Autobots present. However, Bumblebee was not there. He is the Autobot that works in conjunction with our military." spoke the man on the news. Bumblebee saw Wheeljack and two other bots on his team in the discussion with Blurr and other Elite. Three of his teammates were there, but he was not told about it. It was Blurr being there that upset him most.

"Why didn't Blurr tell me!" Bumblebee became noisy again, "Don't I get any intel benefits by being his.... friend?"

"SHHHH! Bee! This is just as good as having a spy on them, if you pay attention!" The young woman reprimanded him. Bumblebee sighed and sat on the couch.

"While they have a damping field to keep anyone from overhearing, we can be certain that it was to discuss combining forces more readily," The expert on the news concluded. Bumblebee still pouted at being left out.

"I can't believe none of them told me!" Bee still complained. He crossed his arms and pouted.

"Maybe because they wanted to talk about us?" speculated the redheaded teen. Bumblebee blinked and took the statement the wrong way.

"I don't think... our relationship.. thing... that would be... important enough for-" Bumblebee was then interrupted by Sari.

"Not 'US US' silly, I mean all the work we did while the Elite Guard was out of commission... Maybe they want us to join officially or something," suggested Sari as she turned away from the T.V. She looked over at Bee from the back of the couch.

"Maybe...." faded Bee. He knew he would find out from Blurr soon enough.

~~~~~~~~~
"Ican'tbelieveit! He charged me twice as much as he did thelasttime! It was the same part he repaired thelasttimetoo!" Blurr complained at his fast speed talking. Sari was bargaining with the mechanic in the background. The young woman was good at intimidating a man four times the size of her.
"Well... you did drive on it for a week without repairing it," replied Bumblebee as they walked away from the garage. They left the redheaded teen to yell and haggle with the garage owner. The two bots walked towards the overlook of the broken overpass. Bumblebee had seen many broken roads in his time. This was the first time there wasn't construction work started to fix it. The humans were going to leave it broke.
"Iknow,Iknow," Blurr replied, "Primus, when are they get back with the Key. I'm sure if we get all the shards together we would need it to combined them to be the AllSpark again."
"Is that what the meeting the other day about?" Bumblebee slipped in. Blurr was so comfortable talking to his fellow speed bot he didn't think twice about the question.
"No... themeetingwas-" the blue bot then stopped, "Ohfrag."
"Yeah. You guys need to remember human technology isn't that far behind. And since no one makes TV shows anymore the news is the most exciting thing on," explained Bumblebee, "Why didn't you tell me! I thought we were friends!"
"Weare! But there is a good reason we had to meeting without you," replied Blurr. He lowered his optics from looking at Bee. As an Elite Guard he completely understood why things had to be secrets but did not know how to explain it to his friend.
"Then why? Please tell me?" Bumblebee begged in his usual childish manner. He pouted with his big dow optics.
"We are.... discussing.. makingyouleader," said Blurr, finishing that sentence with a speed faster than he normally talked. He hoped Bee wouldn't catch it.
"No really, what were you guys talking about?" Bumblebee asked sincerely, being able to understand Blurr's words at his fastest speed. The yellow bot believed Blurr was joking.
"That is what it was about," Blurr repeated. Bumblee's jaw dropped. Blurr tried to make it more clear, "There is no figurehead at all. We need someone to combined both groups against the Decepticons."
"I CAN'T be leader.... and Sari helps me a lot, its not just me!" Bumblebee protested. His expression was one of slight panic with his hands in fists at his sides.
"Yes, we know that, but you have natural leadership skills. You easily convinced the Elite Guard to help you on many occasions. You kept a team of refugees under your leadership when everyone thought the Elite Guard had been completely wiped out," explained Blurr, "And you won't be alone even as leader. It will be the same as things are now except the title and you'll carry Prime code."
"Prime code? I... wow. A Prime..," Bumblebee said softly to himself, still finding this hard to believe. His panic about being leader seemed to melt away with the thought of being a Prime.
"We would give you Ultra code but it was lost with Ultra Magnus' death. Prime is the highest code we have in tact now..." Blurr faded off as he spoke at his usual speed.
"So its already decided? I guess I can't turn it down," replied Bumblebee as he rubbed the back of his head nervously. He found it surreal that he would be leader of all the Autobots.
"Notyet, there is one more meetingwithavote," explained Blurr. He knew he shouldn't of been telling Bumblebee this. However, Bee's friendship meant a lot to him. He would found out sooner or later.
"Are you sure? I mean, about me being leader of all Autobots?" Bumblebee reworded this question one more time, "Are you sure I'll be a good leader? It seems like too much."
"I think you'll be a great leader," smiled Blurr. "We all considered you as an option."
"So... I'll know tomorrow then? I'll try to look surprised," replied Bumblebee with a smile of his own. He then laughed softly.
"Yes, tomorrow..." repeated Blurr, smiling at Bumblebee's laugh.
"How many Elite Guard are left? asked Bumblebee, "Some of the refugees on my team say the Decepticons had most of the control over Cybertron," spoke Bumblebee softly. He realized he changed the mood to a darker subject. It was though is processors switched to wanting to know what the leader should know.
"Its not good at all...." sighed Blurr. "Jazz is currently watching over Cybertron... what'sleftinourcontrol," he explained, "After this last meeting I'll have to go back there."
"I know," said Bumblebee. Even if he was leader he wouldn't order Blurr to stay on Earth. His skills were needed more on Cybertron at the moment.
"You could of called or sent a postcard that whole time we though the WHOLE Elite Guard was wiped out!" half joked the yellow bot. Blurr chuckled softly.
"Sorry, if it makes you feel any betterwethoughtthebotsherewereallofflinedtoo..." Blurr wanted to joke like Bee but it just could not come out as such.
"Blurr... we'll have no worries now! We'll be best buds forever, right?" chuckled Bee to lighten up the mood. Blurr smiled. The yellow bot found a place on the broken highway to sit. He had his legs dangling over the edge as Blurr sat down next to him.
"Ohwellwe'vebeenmorethan'bestbuds'......haven'twe?" Blurr grinned and leaned in on the yellow bot. He realized this was the first time he had a moment alone with Bee since his return. The Elite Guard's returned to earth had kept him busy with his intel bot skills. Not only did he have to keep an eye on Decepticons but they wanted him to check out the Earth Autobot team as well.
"Yeah.....," Bumblebee smiled. He had not said anything about their previous relationship, since he didn't know if it was over with everything that had transpired, "So we need to tal-"
The yellow bot was interrupted by Blurr quickly leaning in and kissing him. Bee's optics opened wide in surprise. Though the kissing was nothing new he had expected some talking first. Blurr pulled his lips back off of Bee's for a moment. He hovered his lips just a slightly from the yellow bot's. To Bee it felt like his lips never left at all. Blurr had sworn he had heard Bumblebee start to say something and waited to see if he would finish his sentence.
Bumblebee did not know that was the reason for Blurr's pause. Whatever he as going to say was gone from his processors now. Blurr smirked at Bee's silence. The yellow bot then put a hand to Blurr's cheek and kissed him hard. Their glossa's twilled around each other excitedly. Blurr was the first to pull out of the kiss. With half open optics, Bumblebee seemed to whine while the kiss was being broken.
"Sorry we haven't had the time to be together since I've been back," Blurr said slightly slower than his normal speed. He put put his white hand to Bumblebee's chin. He stroked the bottom of the yellow bot's lip with his thumb. Bee blushed and looked down a bit to avoid optic contact with Blurr.
"Yeah . . .and now you'll be on Cybertron all the time," Bumblebee said softly, "And. . .well-"
"Don'tworryaboutthatnow," the blue bot interrupted Bee. He leaned towards the the younger bot. His hand left Bee's lips as his pointer finger than trailed down Bee's chest armor. Blurr scooted back enough to have the space he needed to lick the bottom edge of Bee's chest windshield.
"B-B-Blurr! We're kinda in a public area!" gasped Bumblebee. Blurr kept Bee close as he peered around. It was more of an open area but obviously abandoned. This side of the city was too damaged to keep any humans around.
"Not with what I spy with my optics," Blurr smirked. He then licked up the left side of Bumblebee's chest windshield a moment, "Imissedyousomuch."
"I m-m-missed you too...," Bumblebee stuttered out. The yellow bot placed his hands on the sides of Blurr's cheeks. Blurr sat up straight from his attention on Bee's windshield. He looked Bee directly in the optics.
"IknowIknow, I will always remember the smile you had when you saw me among the other Elite that returned.....Youknowifwe....," He paused to rephrase what he was going to say, "I'm about to ask a serious question...."
"What is it?" Bumblebee's optics showed an expression of confusion at the statement. He then looked down away from Blurr again. The yellow bot seemed to be hiding something from his older partner. Blurr had noticed this body language earlier. However, he waited for Bee to tell him on his own time. Blurr's pointer finger traced a large circle at the center of Bee's windshield. The younger mech made a pleasant noise to the touch.
"Remember the last time we were together, beforethebattlethattheEliteGuardhad...?," Blurr started as he then took one of Bee's hands off his cheek. Bee let his hand be moved by Blurr. The blue bot rested Bee's hand on the blue armor that rose up between his windshield. Bumblebee blushed when he realized what exact moment Blurr was referring to.
"Yes...," Bumblebee became warm at the thought. Blurr leaned closer to him. The blue bot got as close to Bumblebee's audios as their clunky robotic bodies would let them.
"Remember... our... sparks... so... close..?," Blurr spoke slower than Bee had ever heard heard him before. His words were paced seductively. Bee ran his hand up slightly to Blurr's windshield. The younger bot meant to respond with words. He was instead caught off guard by his spark thumping hard in his chest.
"Blurr....," Bumblebee muttered softy. Blurr smirked at his younger partner's moan. The blue bot took quite delight in Bee's reaction. Blurr had not even made any contact that would be considered 'interfacing' yet.
"Ihaven'teventouchyoumuch... and your spark is beating so hard," Blurr then licked down the yellow metal that in cased Bee's left upper wheel. Bee tried to say something but bit his lip at the lick to his shoulder. The yellow bot then kisses his lover back hard. He then quickly released Blurr from the kiss as soon as he gave it. Blurr took the pause as a moment to speak again, "Do you want to sparkbond in the 'open' right here?"
Blurr's intel bot mods would notify him if someone did approach. He did not tell Bee this. The thrill of being caught was something Blurr wanted to add to Bee's experience. The older bot's pale fingers ran along a crease on the side of Bee's armor. He touched lightly on some tense wires on Bee. Bumblebee did not return any touches, his processor was too focused on just sparkbonding.
"Y-y-yeah," Bumblebee's first answer was. His mind was fogged at the thoughts when they last had their sparks touching. Blurr had promised then he would only make them touch, and he was good on his word. Once Blurr disappeared Bee regretted not going farther. Those thoughts came to his mind when he spoke, "If we had bonded we would have known where the other one was.....?"
"Well,dependingon...," Blurr paused and chose his words closely to explain. He knew how younger lover had never bonded before, but he also seemed not to know much about it. Blurr's optics softened as he had a light smirk on his face, "It takes time. We'll need to do a lot of bonding. Butifyouwant to be well connected I don't mind accomplishing that goal."
Bumblebee leaned his chest against Blurr's. The young bot nuzzled his face against one of Blurr's long blue shoulders. It had been a very long time since he had been this close to his blue bot. He felt their sparks both beat under their armor. Bee was going to savor every moment. He knew with him being leader Blurr would be sent to Cybertron for his intel bot duties. The times they would see each other would be far and few in between. Blurr was surprisingly silent.
The blue bot took his hands off Bee to open his own spark chamber. Bee heard the familiar whirs and clicks as the blue metal bump in the middle of Blurr's windshield slid down. The center glass of his windshield opened. The glass slid back on either side. Underneath the windshield the metal doors that protected his spark. Blurr then reached down to run his fingers against the notches that opened Bee's windshield. The yellow bot let out a small moan as his whole front glass rolled down like a normal window.
Bumblebee's hands clumsily strayed to the metal doors of Blurr's spark chamber. He had seen the older bot's spark chamber doors before. They were a beautiful light silver. There was an unusual interlaced circular patterns on them. Blurr was created right after the Great War, and probably one of the last bots made with the old stylized spark chambers. The chamber doors could only be described as 'Victorian style' in human terms.
As Bee ran his fingers in the grooves of one of the circle patterns he was reminded how much older Blurr was than him. Blurr had told him long time ago, but it was still hard to believe. The blue bot's age was closer to Ratchet's than his own. Blurr knew a lot more than Bee, which only made the younger bot trust him more.
Bumblebee's doors were plain sheet metal. The flat basic doors were the same dull gray as his faceplate. Bumblebee made his own doors slide back, relieving his hot white spark. He paid no mind to the edge of the bridge. He was willing to sparkbond with Blurr near such a dangerous fall. Blurr leaned Bumblebee back while kissing him lightly. The younger bot returned the kiss with his glossa touching Blurr's. The blue bot then released from the kiss and placed his mouth on Bee's spark.
"B-b-blurr!" Bee gasped and reacted to the slight energy that flowed in his circuits from the touch. One of his legs shifted slightly, sending a few pebbles to fall off the bridge to the cement below. Blurr stopped to shift to the height of Bee's optics.
Blurr used one his his hands to support himself over Bumblebee. His other hand went to Bee's hand that rested inside his chamber. He guided the younger bot's hand downward. Bee's hand then reached the mechanics that opened Blurr's chamber. The yellow bot felt Blurr's fingers behind his own guiding the motions to open the spark chamber. With a whirl the doors slide back and his light blue spark emerged.
"Tellmeyouwantthis. I want to be sure you do," Blurr said as he took Bee's hand out of his spark chamber. He intertwined his fingers with the younger bot's and pulled their hands off to the side. Blurr squeezed Bee's hand as he leaned his spark up against the younger bot's. Ribbons of electricity from Blurr's spark danced across to Bee's spark. Bee's optics went off a moment as his spark returned white lines of energy on Blurr's spark. Even though the older bot acted in full control he moaned lightly at the energy returned to his spark.
Bumblebee didn't give an answer right away. To the older speed bot it felt like forever. Bee looked more than eager to say yes, but there was a delay. Blurr could pick up the reluctant feelings of his younger partner just by their sparks being so close. Blurr pulled back, his spark no longer sharing energy with Bee's. Their sparks did not become one so it was not hard for them to part. However, it left some tension in Blurr's circuits. Bumblebee almost winced at the pull back. His young spark latched on to what was left of Blurr's energy. Bee let out a soft whimper as the blue bot's energy faded from his spark.
Blurr looked down at Bee as the yellow bot's optics came back online. Bumblebee's processors were given a rest because of the pause. Blurr stayed over him, but not with their sparks touching. The younger bot was finally able to say what he was trying to this whole time. Bee lifted his head so he could look directly into Blurr's optics.
"When you were gone... Sometime after you were gone... Sari and I started seeing each other," Bee said softly as he avoided looking in Blurr's optics yet again.
"Ah,Isee," said Blurr with a sad smirk. He had noticed the closeness between the two. Bee and Sari's interactions he had seen were borderline to being more than friendship, but he didn't pass any judgement. Blurr sat up from being leaned over Bee. The yellow bot seemed disappointed with Blurr's pulling away.
"But when you came back... Sari and I had a talk. She said she wouldn't be offended if I chose to go back to you... That we'd always still be friends," Bumblebee said while sitting up. He then sighed, "But thats the problem."
"Problem?" was all Blurr replied. He couldn't help but still have a hand on Bee, it now resting on the yellow bot's leg. His other hand worked to close Bee's spark chamber up. The older bot knew nothing farther would happen in this moment. There time was limited anyways. Sari would be looking for them soon.
"I CAN'T choose.... I love you both," Bumblebee sighed again. He leaned forward towards Blurr as though he wanted the bot to still be near him, "Its so confusing Blurr! My spark... 'moves' the same way when I'm near both of you. Ever since you've been back, I've felt torn apart."
Blurr smiled softly at Bee comments as he closed up his own spark chamber. It was an usually serious statement from his normally happy little Bee. Blurr leaned back to the yellow bot and gave him a short light kiss. Bee looked up at the older bot confused. Blurr placed one of his white hands under the younger bot's chin.
"Talk to Sari then. I don't mind sharing you," Blurr smiled softy at Bee's utterly lost look, "Because us speed bots are so fast, we have the time to love more."
Bumblebee had heard that line used before somewhere else. There was a stereotype of speed bots being more promiscuous. Bee was trying to understand that Blurr had a more romantic way of looking at it.
"Wait... what?" questioned the yellow bot. He was prepared for some rejection but not the opposite. Blurr kept on grinning as he spoke.
"There is a difference between 'seeing' random bots, and having other relationships. I don't mind if you have another relationship. Sari's a nice human... I don't mind if she doesn't," Blurr explained. Bumblebee still looked a bewildered at this information. He then lightly smiled. His processors finally understood the main gist of what the blue bot was suggesting. Bumblebee's only concern now was getting Sari to agree.
~~~~~~~~~~

"We have it on good word that you compromised the situation with Bumblebee," stated Perceptor, who wore a red Elite Guard symbol.

"I told him what the meeting was about! He had the right to know we were considering to make him leader!" said Blurr in his fast fashion. Other Elite overhearing the conversion had a hard time understanding.

"However, you are the deciding vote. We can't have you compromised at all. The choice of leader has to be an infallible choice. They are not only responsible for helping defeat the Decepticons, but also to keep the Autobots from separating. You know what happening around us. You know the politics of it all," explained Perceptor.

"Hedoesn'tknowIamthedecidingvote!" complained Blurr in his annoyed tone, which only made his talking faster.

"You can no longer be the deciding vote. But you should be glad to the the task has been given to Jazz. He also knows Bumblebee. I'm sure he will make the right choice," explained Perceptor. Blurr sighed but nodded. Jazz could make an indisputable neutral choice. He had faith in his old co-worker.

~~~~~~~~
"Who did you vote for Jazz?" Blurr asked his old friend. Blurr knew he shouldn't be asking but it had been after the voting meeting. There was no way to influence him now. Jazz paused and then replied softly in his com.
"I voted for you man," the ninja bot replied quietly. It seemed as though there was others in the room that he did not want overhearing him.
"WHATWHATWHAT!?!?!?!" Blurr's voice as almost at panic, "Iknownothingaboutdirectingpeopleandbattleplanning!"
"Ah, from what I understand your main role would be keeping us together. You understand politics and whatever better than any bot I know. And a lot of the old bots don't want to follow someone as young as Bee. You were constructed right after the Great War," Jazz went on, "Bee can still do his thing, and would respect orders from you. That would work towards the whole 'keeping together' plan."
"OhJazz, Ihopeyou'reright," Blurr had an ache in his circuits. This wasn't right. It felt like Bee should was destined to be leader. Something was off. Something was wrong. There was a human phrase Sari's father said once, 'Good intentions pave the way to hell.'
