Sorry about that whole TedxStacy thing back in the last part for those that didn't like it. These next couple or so will be episode repeats with different outcomes...or the same...whatever.

The hangover that had been suppressed by his sleeping was threatening to come out with vengeance. Knowing that Mrs. M was ready to ground him and knowing that such a thing would rub him the wrong way in his current mind-set, he decided it was time to leave.
"Janie," he said turning to his sister. "I'll see you back at the house whenever our relatives decide to leave. I'm going to work off this..." Trent finished and Jane nodded. She knew that Trent hadn't spent all four of those hours breaking up with Monique. At least half that time had been spent drinking.
Jane frown to herself kicking herself for not seeing the signs. Knowing Trent as long as she did, she should have seen the bloodshotness about his eyes and the barely suppressed inner rage that Trent was keeping back. Her eye ticked over to see that the moment Trent got up, Daria was able to spot the same thing as well. It became more evident when Trent slammed the door.
"He didn't have a four hour fight with his ex, part of that time was spent drinking, and when he drinks he becomes a truthful drunk. However, it's the hangover that is the better part. He's got a very short fuse and with you about to ground him, he would have exploded. He's usually a jellyfish against most authority now. I think that comes form the fact that my mother asked him to stay in Lawndale to look after me while she continued her 'Lane Wanderlust'." Jane explained.
"'Lane wanderlust'?" Daria asked and the doorbell rang.
"That'll be my mother." Jane said with a smirk and when Helen opened the door Amanda was there as Jane had predicted.

"I can't believe my mother tried to ground Trent." Daria said as Jane packed up ready to go back to her vacated home.
"She probably would try to ground Sandi if she were here. Listen, I know where Trent probably went. You can go give him the message to come back home."
"Jane..." Daria growled.
"I bet, when you were fantasizing like Quinn told you to do, you saw yourself married to a fat, balding Trent, right?"
"Uh..."
"I know you too well, Morgendorffer. Just go talk to him. Dating him doesn't mean you'll be the next Lane..." Jane said with a smirk.
"I shall murder you one day." Daria retorted.

He turned the key and the engine came to life, sounding far better than it had ever before. He shuts the car off and reclined the seat back. The tune-up, and the replacement of the radiator had worked off that hangover and now he was ready for a nap. He heard a knock on the passenger side window. He turned to see Daria and he gave her a thumbs up and she got in.
"The rest of your family has scattered again. Jane says you can come home."
"Cool. Didn't want to sleep in the car anyway."
"Sorry about my mom."
"Don't worry about it."
"Uh Trent?"
"Mmmmm?"
"You said that your music was the most important thing to you. What if you met someone that you were going to marry?"
Trent arched an eyebrow and then became thoughtful. Five minutes passed in silence until he finally spoke.
"If I found that someone that I'd want to spend the rest of my life with, and if the Spiral wasn't going to go anywhere, I'd work on cars for the rest of my life. It wouldn't be a pretty profession, but I'd do it for the one I loved as a wife." he answered saying the last bit while looking at Daria. Daria blushed and Trent turned back to the road with a half grin on his face.
