Another one that starts post-mordum of the episode.

The furious brush strokes told Daria that her friend was still in the mood to kill Wind. The bloody and destructive piece of art that was being created by Jane echoed her own sentiments.
"I'm going to call this 'The Death of Wind'." Jane said distractedly.
"Mmmm,"
"As for the other idiot brother of mine...I'm sorry I even tried to hook you two up in the first place." Jane continued while still painting.
"What?" Daria asked surprised that Jane would even say that.
"The idiot couldn't handle getting those contractors to work on that damn gazebo. He's unable to do anything on time or in a timely fashion and that would have messed you up. So, I guess you kissing Tom was a good thing in the end huh?"
Daria bit her lip. She didn't know why, but Jane's words was causing a small ache in her heart. She decided to leave the room for a few minutes to give Jane's anger time to be expressed silently on her canvas.

Amanda watched as her son and husband put axes to the gazebo. She shook her head wondering why her older son had believed such a story.
"I see the destruction is going according to plan." Daria said coming up from behind Amanda. Amanda smiled gentle at Daria.
"I wish Jane didn't have to go through all that trouble when it collapsed the first time."
"I guess Trent will remember this week with all the work he's has done."
"He shouldn't have turned out like that." Amanda said quietly.
"Huh?" Daria asked confused.
"Trent. I had him stay here to take care of his sister while...." she began to say but stopped. "I think I might have damaged his spirit by forcing him to suppress that Lander wanderlust."
"Lane wanderlust?"
"We're quite nomadic...my branch of the family particularly. Me and Vincent can't stay in one place for any long period of time or we get board and when we get board we...indulge ourselves."
Daria blushed at that uncomfortable comment. The Lanes could be at times a little too opened. She then began to notice that Trent's axe swings were becoming more violent. Amanda saw the concerned look on her husband's face as Trent started picking up the frequency and violence of his axe swings. Vincent backed off and Trent continued his violent path of destruction.
"Oh dear," Amanda let out calmly.
"Uh..." Daria began.
"The men...or most of the men in our family might be overly laid back, but that comes at a price. As you can see, when Trent actually becomes angered he becomes quite violent. I just wished he'd gotten with someone that could control that." Amanda mused out loud just before the gazebo came crashing down. However, that didn't stop Trent as he wanted more destruction.
"Honey...uh..." Vincent began and Amanda bit her lip. She didn't know if she could get through the berserker haze that was clouding Trent's mind. The Lane matron closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them to look at Daria.
"You can do it."
"What?" Daria asked in confusion.
"You can calm him. He'll respond to you better than he would me."
"But..."
"Please, he'll either hurt himself or someone else if e keeps this up." Amanda implored and Daria sighed.

Red was all he saw. Anger towards his older brother and those idiot contractors boiled through his veins and he took it out on the wood of the gazebo. He lifted the axe again, but a small hand gripped him at the elbow.
"The gazebo is dead, but the axe down."
Trent halted his swing hearing the familiar voice. He almost pushed her aside, but he finally regained control of himself and put the axe down. He shook his head in order to clear it.
Daria?"
"You decided to become a one-man wrecking crew." Daria explained.
"Oh man...damn...uh, I didn't...?"
"No."
"Cool. Thanks for stopping me. I need some sleep." he said stretched, and headed inside for his bed.
"You see?"
"I see, but don't understand."
"You don't have to."
Daria sighed to herself. How stranger could this family get?
