By the time lunch started.Jack was already at the ends of his ropes with his morning. He was basically failing almost every class because of Wuya and her obsession to get the shengong wu. Upon reaching his locker, he slammed his fist into it. Just out of anger after staring at his report card. But to make his day worse...." Hey loser!"
Jack's face dropped out of fatigue. He knew the voice behind him." What Big Tom?" He asked with a sigh.Abruptly the bully known as Big Fat Tom shoved him into his locker.
" Where's your lunch money, loser?" Big Tom demanded to know, lifting Jack by his collar, and slamming his back up into his locker. And then grabbing his goggles and pulling them back and letting go, where they snapped his forehead really hard. What hurt more was that they hit his bruise. Of course everyone who passed by ignorred it and stayed to their own business.
Except for one person walking by."Hey!" It was Kami. She tapped the bully's shoulder.
Jack's eyes went wide as the bully turned his head to look at her glare. She stood there, hands on her hips. She stared with no fear. " Let him go or you'll have to answer to me." She warned, her firm tone unchanging.
The bully chuckled and dropped Jack, where he landed on his bum." run along sweet heart, maybe I won't take your purse." He said.
Kami smiled, and reached in her purse." I really don't think you want to mess with me. "
" Oh yeah, why is that..." He trailed off as he approached her. In return, Kami threw out a tazer and pressed the button as she held it against his crotch. Jack's eyes widened as Big Tom screamed out in pain, gripping his zapped privates. Falling the ground next to Jack Spicer. Crying for his mommy.
Kami pursed her tazer and looked at Jack, smiling she offer her hand to help him up." Kami...." Jack started, accepting her offer."..I don't know what to say....I....you...."
Kami chuckled sweetly and kept her hand in his even after he stood up face to face with her."One moment." She cut him short.
She knelt down to the bully and roughly grabbed his collar and forced his face towards her's," Listen, scum. If you ever mess with my man Jack Spicer again, I shove my tazer so far up your ass your grandma will feel it!" She hissed." Do you understand me?!"
Terrorfied the bully slid to his feet cowering," Ye...s ma'am." And he took off.
" Whao." Jack breathed.
Kami turned back to him." No one deserves to get bullied." She said and smiled at him.
" Thanks. I guess we are even." Jack said.
Kami shrugged," Not really. Actually I'm still taking you out to lunch, how about Taco Bell." She offered.
Jack thought for a moment." Alright."Then he added"But I must warn you, mexican food might give me gas."
" Whatever. Hey it happens to the best of us." This brought a smile to his face.
' Strong, beautiful, and kind.' Jack thought in his mind.
" I got your note that you sent back on Bisket by the way," She snapped him back into reality." Kami, Maybe it is just the headache from running into your locker, but I must say you...." Kami paused in reminding him of his words on the note. As on the note all there was after " you" was an incomprehensable scribble.
"You memorized the letter? Man, you are kinda weird." Jack said.
Kami shrugged," Well being weird is what makes me, well me." She smiled as they reached outside the front, her little rat ran from her back pack to her shoulder.
" Why is your rat so smart?" Jack asked.
" Uh...well...." She rubbed the back of her neck, seeming to be very nervous." He...is....OH! Here are your....changing...I mean your chop sticks." She added a nervous laugh. She handed his Shengong wu to him.
" Hey how'd you know it was called the changing chopsticks?" He asked with a lifted eyebrow.
"Well Ashely did say something about the Shengong wu so....Uh...Changing Chopsticks was one of those mentioned.
" Cool. You are nothing like your sister you know that."
Kami paused in walking as they had continued to walk," How so?"
" Well you are....prettier then her, and nicer too." Jack stated. Kami looked at him and blushed slightly.
" Kami." Jack began
" What?" She asked hoping that he was going to ask her out.
Insteed, she found that as they approached the inside of Taco Bell and ready to order. Jack asked this," Mind if I order like two tacos, three pintos and cheese and....."
Kami chuckled and cut him off," Order whatever you want, Jack." She said.
" Okay, hey you're cool. Thanks."Jack said with a sloght laugh and turned to order. In Jack's mind all he had was food. Before though, he was and is still very grateful of his new found friend, Kami. Even the name sounded good when he said it.
