Letters From Derpy

Dear Loyal Followers,
 

After many months struggling to learn and perfect our roles, the big night finally came. We chose to unleash ourselves upon Ponyville first. After all, it's where Luna "made her first comeback."

We couldn't simply play our parts: we each had to feel it, look it, BE IT. I wore heavy mascara, chains and a velvet skirt Gilda had torn to shreds for me. I was no longer Bubbly Shines. And definitely not Derpy.

Princess Celestia was waiting in the town hall when we strode in. Everypony gasped and backed away. They hadn't known why Celestia had come in the first place, and seeing us looking so wicked terrified them.

We went right up to the elder goddess. Luna said, "Dearest sister, let me introduce my band of friends: Deception (Apple Bloom bowed), Cruelty (Gilda snarled), Despair (I huffed)..." Twilight Sparkle's eyes nearly popped out! She begged Princess Celestia to do something but was told to wait. It was hard not to laugh.

After introducing Trixie (Ego) and herself (Avarice) was the real kicker: Spike joined us: "Betrayal!" Twilight freaked but Celestia still just smiled.

Trixie shouted, "Together we are The Elements of Discord!"

Pure energy tore through me as the lights flashed and we all floated into the air. Streams of darkness poured from all of us and centered on Trixie, shrouding her as sparks and flares flashed all around.

At the last moment I heard Applejack say she wouldn't fight her sister. Then she winked at Bloom. I guess the filly had to tell her big sister why she'd been fibbing so much. From Twilight's screaming fit it was clear Applejack had kept the secret. As had Princess Celestia.

With one last blinding flash we set down on the platform Trixie had materialized. Before anypony could freak out even more we grabbed our instruments and began to rock.

For the next few hours WE TOTALLY RULED EQUESTRIA!
