It was a quiet Saturday morning at the Botsford residence. Most were out either patrolling the city, or doing other things. There were only two occupants in the house...,a young mother and her daughter. Becky was sitting on the couch with her daughter in her lap.
"Mama, how did you become WordGirl in the first place?" Carina asks. She had been wanting to ask that question for quite some time.
"I guess we've got time to hear that story." Becky sighs out. "You know I was found on the doorstep of your grandparents' right?"
"Uh-huh," Carina states.
"They quickly adopted me and I became part of the family. Back then though, Prepsoterocity(1) wasn't infected with super villains like it it is today. Back then, it was nothing but low life criminals with no super powers what so ever."
"Wow, so what happened?" Carina asks.
"Well, I was six at the time....,"
Flashback begins
A six year old Becky and her mother walk down the isles of the grocery store pushing a shopping cart.
"Ooooh, they've got water melons on sale....,wish your father was here to help lift...," Sally grunts lifting one of the large green melons.
"I'll help." Becky offers and before Sally could stop her, she easily help her mother get the melon into the card.
"Wow kiddo, I guess you are getting strong. C'mon, we've got a couple of hungry boys waiting at home." Sally states and they head for the check out line.
"Alright, open up the register and give me all the money in it and do it quick!" a man in a mask man shouts at the manager. He was waving a gun about threateningly. Sally bites her lip but doesn't notice that her daughter had left her side.
"Excuse me," Becky says.
"Go away kid, I'm busy." the man growls.
"Why are you pointing that gun at the nice manager?"
"Go away!" he shouts and tries to knock Becky down, but she catches his arm and squeezes. He hollers in pain and drops the gun. Police come quickly into the store and arrest the man.
Flashback ends
"And that's how your mother got started. Then, the Butcher showed up and ever since then I've, along with your father, have been cleaning up the streets.

"Hey MathWiz?" Caelum says over the phone.
"Yeah?" MathWiz says as he flies over his and WordGirl's section of the city.
"I've got someone strange here trying to rob the bank. He's using an alligator." Caelum explains.
"Alligator! calculate!" MathWiz shouts.

"Oh, I've got enough money for...,"
"Going somewhere Gumbo?" MathWiz asks stopping the new criminal.
"You! I thought I chased you out of my swamps years ago! And the name is Cajun! Not Gumbo!" the Louisiana native Cajun shouts, his accent very much prevalent in his speech. "Sick him!" he shouts to his pet and the large reptile tries to snap off MathWiz's leg.
"Damn it! The root never said anything about animal extermination!" Caelum shouts. Emma lands a moment later and the two X weapons help MathWiz to fend off the alligator.
"Ooooh, looks like you've gotten yourself a team, huh?" Cajun states.
"Get back!" Caelum growls kicking the creature in the belly. The alligator moans out in pain and backs off.
"Darn you swamp rat!" Cajun shouts. Police and animal control surround the pair and haul them off.
"C'mon, let's get back home...,calculate!" MathWiz shouts and the two other X weapons follow.

"How was patrol?" Becky asks.
"Well, they're coming out of the wood work now. Cajun crawled out of the swamp I left him in and is now here." Tim explains.
"Cajun?" Becky questions.
"Has the ability to talk to alligators." Tim explains.
"Whoa, that could be a problem. Think he'll join the ring?" Becky asks.
"I hope not. We've got enough problems as it is." Tim says siting on the couch.

"So, yet another one of MathWiz's opponents shows up." Dr. Two Brains states.
"I've heard of this guy. He's had more success against MathWiz than either myself or dunderhead over here." Phantasma says looking at MinusMan.
"Hey! You leave MinusMan alone! Wham!" the Whammer retorts.
"Calm down people. While WordGirl has to defend herself in court, the rest of us should make the remaining members of Team Alphanumeric run ragged throughout the city. Three super heroes is less than four." Two Brains states.
"And Tobey?" Phantasma asks.
"He'll be busy with Mr. Big. Besides, he's now become a reservist member of the Team." Two Brains says smiling in glee. "Henchmen! Bring me my all-in-one ray. I need to make sure it's functioning properly."
"Two Brains, would it be possible to equip my granny Suit with one of those?" Granny May asks.
"I thought you'd never ask. Now, let's prepare to clean out this town...hahahaha!" Two Brains laughs out.
