Scoops was nervous. He had been told where and when to meet his contacts. That was the easy part...,the hard part was now confronting Caelum and telling him. Seeing the blond was at his locker, Scoops approaches.
"Caelum?"
The blond super soldier turns and his ice blue eyes that held love for Emma, amusement for Carina, now hold no emotion for Scoops.
"Tonight, down at the docks at peer 7 at midnight." Scoops reports.
"Pray you are right and this isn't a trap." Caelum whispers and leaves. Scoops shutters. Caelum could be colder than either pole when he wanted to be.

"Well? Do you know their identities?" One shadowy figure asks.
"Yes," Scoops starts and looks around to make sure no one was listening. "Their names are...," Scoops begins but the sounds of rocket engines and a bright spotlight shines down.
"Did you think I'd let the kidnapping of Violet go so easily?" Tobey taunts. A net launches from the war machine and in snares the masked conspirators. They start screaming as the net was quite electrified. "I suggest you don't move or you'll be just hurting yourselves more." Tobey says. A minute later, a couple of dozen police officers lead by the rest of Team Alphanumeric come. Tobey cuts the power and the officers quickly cuff the members of the Alliance of Humanity.

"Is there something I can do for you officers?" the DA asks.
"You're under arrest," the first states and cuffs the district attorney.
"What!?" he shouts.
"You're under arrest for conspiring with the Alliance of Humanity. We've got several members of the local chapter and they told us everything." the second officer states and the DA is dragged out of his home in cuffs.

An Alliance of Darkness

In a stunning sting operation. The Alliance of Humanity was brought to light by Team Alphanumeric and the co-author of this article, Scoops.
The Alliance of Humanity was a secret organization that was looking to deface Team Alphanumeric by first trying to throw them in jail and next by less legal means.
The local chapter had, under the pretense that it was some one from this paper, contacts Scoops in order to get him to find out WordGirl and MathWiz's identities.
This led to the kidnapping of one Violet Heaslie, a friend of several members of Team Alphanumeric and girlfriend to Tobey McCalister III. Violet was recovered, fortunately, and Team Alphanumeric put a bold plan into action.
Caelum had 'suggested' to Scoops to have the members of the Alliance meet him in a shady location. Once the meeting started taking place, Tobey, in his war machine, struck.
While in custody, the apprehended members of the Alliance let be know that the city's newly elected DA had taken part in the plot to put away Team Alphanumeric legally. Mayor Sally Botsford will appoint a new DA later this week.
It also came to light that several state officials were involved in this plot to take out Team Alphanumeric. State law enforcement along with federal agents handled their capture.
Mr. Governor didn't have a comment when first asked about the arrests, but he will have a press conference later this afternoon to deal with the situation. Knowing our former mayor, he'll have several dozen note cards at hand to help him.

"Well, he finally got his name in the paper on a by-line." Tim states finishing reading the article.
"Mama, why would people do that?" Carina asks.
"Fear, little one, people are afraid." Becky answers.
"Afraid of what?" Carina questions.
"Of the unknown, kid." Caelum answers. "Fear is a power emotion. It make people cower in in it, or it can make people do what the Alliance of Humanity did."
"They shall be dealt with in our normal manner." Emma states smirking.
"What about the...,Cubed Root?" Carina asks.
"Why are they after you?" Carina asks again.
"Oh, two of us used to be former employees of the Root. The third was sent to Earth as a baby." Caelum casually answers.
"Employee?" Carina asks.
"Oh, an employee is someone who works for an employer. And an employer is someone that runs a business and hires all the workers for that business." Becky explains and Carina absorbs the definitions like a sponge.
"That's my Becky." Tim says with a smile.
"Now, one more piece of unsettling business." Caelum states dramatically.
"Does the Root want you, Mama?" Carina asks.
"Yep, your mother took their best weapon as her consort and future husband." Becky says smirking.
"Hey!" Emma and Caelum cry in mock indignation. Then, the four teens start laughing out loud.
'Do they want me?" Carina asks.
"We won't let them touch a hair on that pretty little head of yours." Caelum states noogying Carina's head. Carina tries to stop Caelum from messing up her hair to no avail.
"Uncle Caelum, stop...," Carina complains which makes Caelum continue. Tim saves his daughter from her uncle Caelum. This leads to the two male weapons wrestling on the living room floor. This draws in both Becky and Emma and even Huggy. Mr. Botsford comes in through the front door to see the kids in tangled in each other.
"Sparring in the living room, or is there something else i need to know?" he asks and the four spring apart quicker than a fighter jet. Mr. Botsford starts laughing at their faces and heads towards the kitchen to start work on dinner.
