MaxJ1800: Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, for the DA, he's going to have a bad day. But, that doesn't mean the trouble is over with. Yes, Tobey would be able to do that and now he'll be quite motivated to do so. Violet I was more worried about Tobey's reaction to Tobey getting her pregnant. Hmmm, I'm debating with myself whether or not to introduce Tobey's father or not.

"You sure you can handle her, grandmother?" Tim asks.
"I might be getting on in years, but I still know how to watch kids, even super powered ones." Miranda states. With Miranda watching Carina, that meant that Becky's father along with her mother could attend what the judge would decide today. With Miranda coming to mend the fences on her own, Becky saw it as a sign that things just might turn around.

"Be seated." the judge commands and the people in the court room do so. "Perception is something everyone has. Some would look at that video footage and think one way while others would see what happens on that tape and think differently. Here, the DA sees two vigilantes not caring about the damage being caused by their intervention. The defense attorney sees at two heroes doing something that the police couldn't do. These aren't the normal gun toting thugs that the police department would be able to handle. These are criminals with strange abilities. The city, no, the world owes them a debt of gratitude that the world may never be able to pay back. This evidence alone isn't enough to go to trial. I'm dismissing the charges and ask the DA not to darken my court room with this again. This court stands adjourned." the judge says slamming his gavel. The crowd erupts into applause for a moment until something comes crashing through the door. WordGirl and MathWiz turn to see the energy monster standing there looking ready to either sap all the electricity from the people in the room. or to fight Team Alphanumeric again. Seeing it's favorite targets, it lashes out at Team Alphanumeric. the two get out of the way of the attack and glare defiantly back at the creature.

"Goodness, what in the name of heaven is that thing?" Miranda asks as she and Carina watch the coverage on TV.
"That's the energy monster." Carina answers.
"That's one of the things my grand son has been fighting."
"Yep, mama and daddy told me all about that one." Carina says smiling as her parents take on the beast.

"So, come back for more did you?" MathWiz taunts. "C'mon, you electro-hog, I'm ready for you!" he taunts. The energy monster starts stalking MathWiz who smiles. "C'mon, this way big and hungry!" MathWiz shouts. WordGirl tries to figure what her partner was doing until she caught on.
"C'mon, Granny May moves faster than you!" WordGirl taunts as the two lead the monster out the back way of the court house and down the street. It continues to follow Team Alphanumeric down the street until they reach the outskirts of the city. As they got further from the city, the monster was losing power from not being able to suck the electricity from the power lines. Seeing it panting from being out of breath, Team Alphanumeric make their move and attack the creature. Unable to stand up against the duo, the energy monster shrinks back down and vanishes.

"You think this will be enough to have a victory dinner?" Miranda asks Carina as they fill up the cart with things for dinner that night. Tonight, dinner would be on her.
"I hope we got enough for Huggy." Carina states.
"Oh don't worry, I've been feeding animals all my life. I should be able to fill even his bottomless pit of a stomach." Miranda says and the two laugh as they come up to the check out line. Unfortunately, another old woman was holding up the register with her perfume gun.
"Alright you, you're going to give me all the money in this and every cash register in this store." Granny May demands.
"How many times will store be held up!?" the store manager asks.
"Could you speak up, I could hear you." Granny May requests faking her deaf old woman routine again. She then feels a tapping on the shoulder and Granny May turns to see a woman about her age standing there with her hands on her hips.
"You give the elderly a bad name." Miranda states glaring at Granny May.
"A bad claim?" Granny May asks.
"A bad name! What is wrong, hearing aid not working!? Now, why don't you back off and let paying customers through." Miranda growls.
"I don't think so...,here!" she says and tries to use her perfume, but Miranda whips out her purse and Granny May's head and purse try to occupy the same space at the same time. Granny May falls down to the ground in a heap and the police come to collect her.
"She's all yours, officers." Miranda states. "How much do I owe you?"
"It 's on the house. Say, would you consider working for me as a security guard?" the manager asks.
"No sonny, city life is just to fast for an old farm hand like me." Miranda states and her and Carina head on for home.

"Thank you, thank you...," WordGirl says as the crowd of people chant her and MathWiz's names. The press was in full force snapping pictures and waiting on the two to make a statement.
"First of all, we've got to thank Huggy for getting those people out of the court room when the energy monster attacked." MathWiz states and the two hoist Huggy up so the crowd could see him. The monkey waves to the cheering crowd.
"We also like to thank those have supported us through this difficult time...," WordGirl continues, but the person listening turns to his phone.
"The DA failed, suggest we move to plan II." the man in black says over the phone. "Understood, plan II will be executed tomorrow."

"Mother, you didn't have to go to all this trouble." Clair says as they family sees the spread set before them.
"Think of it as my way of making amends to all of you. Clair, you must have done something to convince the judge to dismiss the charges. I hope we all can make a new start from this?" she says and Clair hugs her mother again. Laughter and the sounds of a family enjoying a celebratory dinner echo through the house. None of them knew that the Root and the Alliance for Humanity were both scheming to get the super powered heroes.
