His grin couldn't be wider. Tim had been testing the reflecting capabilities of the probe's metallic casing. He now had found a way to protect himself and Becky from Mr. Big's ring. He would have to make new wrist bands for himself and make headbands for himself and Beck to protect their minds from the lust ray.

"Ok, you've been giddy all day and we've haven't spent any alone time this week, so what's got you smiling like that?" Becky asks. "And why couldn't you tell me until we got back to the secret hideout?"
"This. Calculate!" Becky arches an eyebrow seeing the new addition to his costume. It was a blue headband with the silver metal right over the center of MathWiz's forehead. His symbol, a number sign, could also be seen.
"What's up with the headband?" Tim places her hand on the metal and smiles.
"That is from the probe. I tested it against the lust ray, and it reflected it away. I even tested it with me wearing it. It works. I updated my reflectors on my gloves."
"Did you...?"
"Right here." he answers handing a matching red one with WordGirl's symbol on it to Becky.
"Word up!" she shouts and puts the headband on. "Well, how do we look, Huggy?" WordGirl asks. Huggy gives them both a thumbs.
"MathWiz tested, monkey approved." MathWiz says and the two chuckle. Then the alarm went off letting the trio know that a crime was being committed.
"Let's go." WordGirl states.
"Team Alphanumeric!" they both shout and they leave the ship.

"Ahhhhahahahah! I've subtracted all the money from the first national bank, and I'll do the same thing to the second and the third!"
"Well, look what we've got here, it's our old friend MinusMan." WordGirl states landing in front of the villain.
"DictionaryGirl!" MinusMan shouts.
"It's WordGirl, you silly man in spandex." MathWiz says.
"You! Wait, you two are working together?" MinusMan asks.
"Yep. We're Team Alphanumeric." WordGirl answers.
"Well, isn't that cute...,but you're about to be subtracted!" MinusMan shouts and starts shooting energy from his finger. WordGirl dodges while MathWiz reflects the blasts back at their source. MinusMan aims right for WordGirl's head, but the blast bounces off the metal and the master of subtraction had to dive out of the way.
"So, those headbands aren't just some sort of super hero fashion statement. But I'm not going to stick around just so you can catch me again." MinusMan states and blasts the ground in front of the heroes. This causes the two to lose site of MinusMan in a cloud of dust.
"Huggy!" WordGirl coughs out. "See if you can follow him!"

"Hahaha! I got away from MathWiz and his little girlfriend...,aaaahhhhhhh!" he shouts after Huggy lands on his head. Huggy places his hands over MinusMan's eyes. "Get off me you stupid little hair ball!"
"Alright Huggy! Good job!" WordGirl says as she and MathWiz land.
"Now I'm going to subtract you permanently!" MinusMan shouts and fires off his energy blast, but he misses wide.
"Keep ahold of him Huggy." MathWiz encourages.
"Darn monkey!" MinusMan growls. He reaches behind him and tries to use his powerful finger that way, but...,"Ouch!" MinusMan cries feeling his finger being bitten. This gives Team Alphanumeric the chance to use a team attack taking down the master of subtraction.
"This isn't over Team Alphanumeric! I'll be back!" he shouts as he is being dragged away in handcuffs.
"That takes care of him." MathWiz says.
"Yep. Good work Huggy. There's a banana with your name on it." WordGirl says smiling at her sidekick.
"Hmmm, I've got an idea to take out the ring, but it's risky and something neither of us have done."
"What?"
"Not here. Let's get back to your hideout." MathWiz says and with their team battle cry the duo fly off.
