MaxJ1800: Yep, Carina would have gone flying to at least get a better look. Ok, vacation over, and now something that you mentioned way way back in one of your reviews about Carina being the name of a storm.

They were finally back home. Tobey and Violet were dropped off at their respective homes before the RV pulls up to the Botsfords' residence. Luggage was quickly unloaded, brought into the house, and all dirty clothing readied for washing. The moment Becky and Tim come into their room her phone rings. Seeing it was professor Tubing's number she answers.
"I'm here professor." she says.
"WordGirl, thank goodness I've reached you. We've got a problem. A massive category 5 storm is on it way here." the professor explains. Becky opens the window and flies upward. In the distance she could see ominous clouds out on the ocean.
"Darn, has the city been prepared for this?"
"Yes, but there seems to be a shortage of boards in order to board up the windows of the city. Most people are staying to make sure looting doesn't take place."
"What are robotic duplicates?" Becky asks.
"In the middle of their recharge cycle."
"Can your lab handle a cat5 storm?" Becky asks.
"Yes. We'll be fine here." Tubing states.
"I'm on it." Becky states and quickly flies back inside.

"Oh my, no wonder my voice mail in-box is full." Mrs. Botsford states watching the television report about the hurricane and listening to all her voice mail messages.
"That storm will be here soon. The problem will be the aftermath. This will be the perfect time for Two Brains and the rest of them to strike." Becky states and the other three nod.

"Hahaha! This is exactly what we've been waiting for ladies and gentlemen...,a time where we can strike while the iron is hot! That storm is coming and afterwards, the citizens will be quite vulnerable to us. Those robotic duplicates are in recharge mood so we should be able to clean up this town...,Ahahaha!" Two brains states. The others agree with his sentiments.
"Wham! We're gong to wham this town!" The Whammer shouts.
"And if the real Team Alphanumeric show up...," the huntress says smirking, "me and Krog will be ready."
"Krog crush!" Krog shouts.

The Botsfords and Drakesfords were huddled in the basement of the house. It was a rarely used room for before it was owned by its current owners, it had been a place for bootleggers to make their goods. The batter powered radio blares the constant reports of the local news talk station about the storm. Sally was now constantly on the phone with those who needed her. The outer edge was only about a half hour away and the sky was already darkened with clouds.
"Planet's got some hell of storms. I don't think Decimal ever gets hurricanes." Caelum states.
"Remember, there is a climate control system to prevent such disastrous storms." Emma states.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." Caelum replies sheepishly.
"Mama, what's a 'hurricane'?" Carina asks. Tim smirks seeing that look that one of his favorite girls got when she was defining words.
"A hurricane is a large storm that developed over the ocean. They are classified into five categories. The one that is about to hit us is a category five." Becky explains and her daughter absorbs the information.
"Hey Mr. Botsford, can this place handle it?" Caelum asks.
"The house should stay mostly in tact. It's made from brick after, but the roof and windows might be a problem." Mr. Botsford states now starting to think if they had hurricane insurance.
"How many category five hurricanes have there been?" Carina asks.
"Tim?" Becky states turning to him.
"Well, there was the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935, the 1959 Mexico Hurricane, Camille
in 1969, Gilbert in 1988, Andrew in 1992, and then both Dean and Felix hit in 2007." Tim lists.
"Wow," Carina whispers amazed.
"Unfortunately, natural disasters are things we can't stop. I just hope we don't get overworked in the next few days." Becky states.
"Hey," Caelum starts,"I'm ready for some action."
"Well, you'll get your fill of it." Emma states.
***
It was dark except for the battery powered lantern that was on low. The wind howls as rain pelts the roof of the house. The northern end of the storm and the eye had passed over the city, but the other half of the storm was now battering the city. Fortunately, this side of the storm was the weaker side of the massive hurricane.
***
"Whoa," Caelum says as the family emerges out of the front door. Trees, power lines, and all sorts of junk was about the sidewalks and streets of the city.
"What a mess." Becky comments.
"Uh oh, I'm hearing alarms all over town." Tim states.
"What are we waiting for...,Word up!" Becky shouts and transforms.
"Calculate!" Tim shouts transforming.
"Team Alphanumeric!" they shout in unison.
"Let's go." Emma states and the two X weapons take to the skies.
"Good luck guys! I'll be in the Emergency Management Center!" Sally shouts. The four teens were in for a heck of a crime wave.
