~*Chapter 10*~
"So.... uh... where are we going?" Nathan asked with green eyes pleading for answers. "I'm going to be honest with you here, I feel kind of odd... just.. being led.. by a stranger... To somewhere I don't-"
"Shut up."
"Ok.."
Dib, finally locating his car, unlocked the doors, and threw the boy in the passenger seat, leaving the boy confused as if he didn't know where he was when he shut the door on him. It was a rather nice car. Ford Focus. It was in good shape, and looked nice. The sleek, black, shiny-ness could blind someone from the sun's reflection. Dib opened his side of the door. As he got in, buckled himself, and turned the car and the heat on, Nathan was acting like a frightened puppy. His hands were roaming everywhere, as if he couldn't see and relied on feeling. His eyes darting every direction.
"Dib.."
"Again. Shut up. And buckle yourself in while your at it."
Dib leaned over and grabbed his shoulders, pushing him into the car seat and pulling the seat belt over his shoulders. Nathan remained still as Dib held him there. He nearly choked out air as Dib tightened the belt so much, that it squeezed his chest, making his gasps for air short and desperate. When Dib turned the keys in the egnition, Nathan began to pull at the belt, to get more room for his lungs to get air. He failed. "Dib.. Please." He begged. Dib only smiled in an almost sadist-like way. When the car got started. and began to pull out of the parking lot, Nathan began to thrash. He pulled more and more at the belt. He tried to un-buckle it, but for some odd reason, it wasn't un-buckling.
"Dib.. I think your uh... Pluggie is broken..." Nathan was ready to smack himself for such a word. "I can't un-buckle."
The silly word that Nathan used made Dib chuckle. The boy was so cute. "Now now Nathan.." Dib hand rested on Nathan's shoulders. "Why on Earth would you be trying to escape me?" His hands traveling lower, to his waist. "I highly doubt it's broken. But even if it is, I'm happy for that." His hands kept going down South, to rest on the boys thigh. "You can't escape from me.. Not now"
The boy's eyes became small and red as they stared at Dib's suspicous hand. He found himself gasping hard for air as Dib began to rub his hand up and down his thigh. Dib noticed the boy's small, red, shakey eyes watching his hand's every move. His hand stopped rubbing, and just layed there, on his thigh... a little bit to high for comfert. Nathan's breathing slowely relaxed, but his eyes were still in their shocked state.
"So Nathan. Mind answering some questions?" Dib started.
The boy's red, startled eyes slowely traveled up to Dib's face. "T-That depends on the question."
"Fair enough." Dib replied. "I'll start with.. hm.. Where were you before I bumped into you in the hall?"
"I was in a scientifics class. Boring as hell. The teacher's a bitch, and has the worse teaching voice possible. I became so bored, I made a fool of myself just to get out."
Dib chuckled, his white, sharp teeth showing. "I get what you're saying. I remember when my father forced me into taking that class. I barely passed it, but because I'm the World's Smartest Scientist's son, they let me get high roles."
Nathan's eyes, which were now half green, half red, lowered to the ground. He almost looked depressed. "I don't care for the class. I don't care for most things.."
"That's how I was when in the past. Everyone hated me... Makes me ashamed that I was even saving their asses."
The boy's eyes looked at Dib. Dib's face became different than it was before. Serious, sad, lost in thought. "Kids are awful in their younger years.." Nathan said, eyes narrowing with sadness. "They think everything too little.. Where pretty, handsome, and popular is the best way to go, and everything else that's different is put aside, to be tortured..."
Dib didn't know where Nathan was going with this conversation, but didn't interrupt him. "Boys go after the pretty girls, with stick legs, get low grades, and talk in a cheerful manner, and when around people they dislike, thye talk in like they're possessed by a demon.. Completely cruel and heartless. Girls.. Go after the smart asses.. The handsome, dirty boys who only give a care about causing havoc everywhere they go.. People who are different are left to be filled with sadness and thye are neglected by others.." Nathan's sad eyes looked up at Dib and saw Dib wasn't paying attention to him. "I'm sorry. I'll shut up"
"No no. You're right. Kids were awful. Insults were a step higher to popularity it seemed. Or it seemed to me. I was always interested in the paranormal. I was in fact, completely blinded by the topic." He began to chuckle as he talked. "Aliens, Big-Feets.. Aaaahh all that good stuff. It was fun. Interesting..." He smiled, and closed his eyes for a second, savering the memories.
Nathan began to laugh. "You should be happy now! The Earth authorities caught an alien. A real one, that shows your right!" His laughing became louder. "All those snot-nosed brats got what they were told, I'm guessing! Now look at you! Rich, happy, and-"
"I guess I should be happy."
"Eh?"
Red light. The car's inertia showed itself when Dib pulled on the brakes, letting the two boys slowely pull forward, only to be caught by the seat-belt. Nathan chocked. "You're right. I should be happy. I'm right. They're wrong. I'm happy they got THAT alien. Which is somewhat why I'm unhappy in some ways."
"THAT alien..?" Nathan asked. He sounded quite surprised. "What do you mean?"
"Tak is an alien I met back then when I was a child. But she wasn't the only one. There was a male alien. He has red eyes.. thye looked like rubies. He was skinny, short.. and homocidally insane. His name was Z?.im
"I'm guessing that's the alien you wanted to be turned in, am I right..?" Nathan asked.
"Yes.. and no." Dib replied. Green light. The car began to move again. "True, he was the alien I wanted to be turned in, but at the same time.. I wanted him for myself. He was a perfect prey. Sure, he liked to be dominant, but I always thought to myself, 'If I can get him under my control, he'll stay that way.'" Nathan stared at him.
"So.. Dib, if this alien came back..?"
"I don't know. But what I do know is that when I get the opportunity again one day, I'll punish him for leaving."
Nathan didn't respond. He just stared at open space. Then, he began to pull at the belt again. "No, seriously Dib. I think the pluggie is broken.."
Dib only chuckled again at the word, and drove the rest of the ride in silence. His hand was no longer resting on Nathan's thigh, but it was instead, resting next to it.
As thye pulled into Dib's driveway, Nathan looked up to look out the window. He saw that he was in front of a beautiful, big house. Around it was fresh, emerald green grass, nicely cut. Tree's were seen on the side of the house. It all looked fantastic. "You got a nice house here."
"Thank you." Dib climbed out of his car and walked to the other side of the car, to Nathan. He opened the door. He leaned over and un-plugged the seat-belt. Nathan stared in a confused, yet angry look. "What the fuck?! You can un-buckle me so easily, while the pluggie gave me problems!" Dib only laughed and grabbed the boy by his wrists, dragging him out of the car and into his household. When he had the boy inside, he took a moment to look at Nathan's face.
Nathan's complementary colored eyes roamed. From the furniture, to the decorations on the wall, to the carpets and rugs on the floor. He looked and observed everything. "This is a nice house..."
Dib smiled and, again, dragging the boy by his wrists led him down a hall. "I took you to my house for a reason. I need to show you something."
Nathan looked confused. "Explain." His steps were rather slow, so with Dib dragging him by his own wrist, it hurt to have Dib pulling him with force in one direction, with himself being dragged behind in the other.
"This is what I wanted to show you" Dib stopped in front of a metal door. It had a keypad next to it. Dib typed in a code, and the door opened. Dib dragged the boy. Nathan soon found himself in a lab. A very big lab. Chemicals were everywhere. Computers, machines, tables, utensils were everywhere. The bright lights irritated the boy's eyes. "A lab? You wanted to show me a lab? Why?"
"I thought since your into all of this scientific stuff, that I'de show you some things." Dib let go of him, and begame to walk around. "I haven't been down here in awhile.. heh."
Nathan looked at his wrist. The hand print where Dib's hands were was red. Beet red. He stared at the mark for several seconds, then turned his attention to the lab around him. He had to admit, it was rather impressive. It was neatly organized, and everything looked professional. "Wow Dib, this is great!" He began to run around, looking at everything with awe. His eyes were wide, and his smile never dissapeared as he observed everything around him. "T-This is amazing! This would be perfect for my research!"
Dib watched the boy as he talked on about how great his lab was with a smile. "Thank you. I haven't really been using it. I don't know why. Maybe because I don't have anything to work on in here."
Nathan turned to Dib and run and up to him. "You fool! This lab is great for researching... anything.. Such high... intelligent Earth machinery..-"
"I have some broken tools."
"Eh?"
Dib turned Nathan's face towards a metal table in the far corner. "See that? It's broken. I know it sounds silly, but I hate working in a lab knowing I can't fix a god damn table."
Nathan stared. "It's... a table Dib.. How the hell can it be broken? What, you set something on top and it breaks into peices? Seriously Dib? You can't fix a tab-"
"No. It's a mechanical table." Dib walked up to the big hunk of metal, and brought it up towards Nathan so the boy could see. "You see, you put an organism on the table, and you give the table 'commands'. For example, if you said, 'Strap down'. Bands would come out and strap the organism to the table. Get what I'm saying?"
"Oh. Ya. I see." Nathan stared at the table, then turned away to look at more machinery.
"Nathan, I want you to work with me in this lab. I'm sick and tired of working around morons all day with no idea what they're doing."
Nathan smiled and turned to face Dib. "Of course Dib. I can get what you saying. People at your father's lab are completely chaotic. And around Tak, thye don't know what they're doing. They should let you work on her, since you know the most about Irkens here." Nathan walked straight up to Dib with a smart-ass smile. "How can I assist you in your labs?"
Dib gentle, sweet smile went completely sadist at that very moment. "Simple." With that, Dib pushed Nathan away from him, so they were at least 7 feet apart. "COMPUTER!" Dib screamed. "PIN HIM DOWN!"
Nathan's green eyes went small, red, and shakey as the lab around him hummed. "W-WHAT?" Nathan turned to the lab, and gasped back away from it, expecting the table to send bands of doom at him. He stepped away from it and turned to run. When he turned around he saw mechanical claws sticking out of the wall, grabbing his limbs and pinning him to the floor. "D-DIB? What the.... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Nathan trashed against the bonds, trying to get free. He calmed down whne he saw the metal of the claws digging into his soft flesh. He began to scream. His eyes, completely red roamed around him. When his eyes settled on Dib, he stopped. Dib have a needle in his hand. "Wh.. what are you doing Dib? Is this some kind of JOKE?"
Dib's sadist smile grew bigger. "No.. This isn't a joke.. You offered to help me, and you will." He bent down to the boy, and looked at his terrified face. He looked so vulnerable, so fragile, so... delicous. He put his hand on the boy's cheek, and massaged his thumb over the boy's lips, smiling. "Don't be so scared.." As Nathan stared at him, he ejected him with the drug from the needle in the arm, right where the vein should be. Nathan clenched his teeth together, sucking in a hiss of pain as the effect of the drugs spread through his body.
The boy looked into Dib's cruel face. "Why me...?"
Dib's face expression became more gentle, but still sadistly. "Why? Because like I said.." His voice grey slimmer. The effect of the drugs was getting to his hearing. His vision becoming more black. "I'm using this opportunity to punish you."
That was last of Dib's words that were heard before the boy fell in unconsciousness.
