Angel Shrine

Tears spilled from her eyes as she fell hand reaching out as she desperately tried to stop falling, it had been all her fault that this had happened, how could she be so stupid? Marinette let out a cry as the wind whipped through her loose hair.

The bright moonlight revealed someone jumping from the top of the building she’d just fallen from, someone with beautiful purple wings looking every bit like an Oleander Hawk Moth as he sped towards her...But, why was Hawkmoth of all people attempting to save her? She wasn’t worth it, she pressed her hands to her face unwilling to look at him as he descended to her.

Big, strong hands grabbed Marinette gasped as his arms wrapped around her. Keeping her safe from the unforgiving ground below them. Hawkmoth exuded warmth, a small comfort in the chill of the night. Gently they touched down and he released her, his hand staying on one of her own as he made sure that she had her balance, how many people did she know could be so gentlemanly? So courteous and gallant? He was the villain and he was treating her better than any of the so-called hero’s right now! 

Hawk Moth was looking up at the Eiffel tower, a hint of anger on his masked face, his body a comforting warmth so close to hers. “Thank you.” He glanced at her with serene eyes, Something memorizing about the way he looked down on her sent shivers down her spine, beautiful blue eyes with dark rings around the edges. Marinette swore she’d seen eyes like this before but not quite as alive, as vibrant as these.

“You’re welcome miss Dupain-Cheng.” And he swiftly walked away from her, a few white butterflies following after the man. Utterly entranced by the vision he made walking away so confidently in the moonlight it took her a moment to realize she wasn’t alone anymore. She turned to look at her shadow. How could she ever think, intruder? Chat Noir frowned as he looked at her.

“Are you alright? He didn’t do anything did he?” Marinette huffed; 

“He didn’t hurt me, unlike some people!” Before storming away from the superhero. Her heart pounding not just about the small moment she’d just had with the man she called villain but also with the whole mess that he seemed to want to save her from, and she had to bite her lips. Tears threatening to burst from their prison, he had shown more care for her than her supposed friends, more than Chat Noir even!

He’d called her a fairy in the white and blue off-the-shoulder dress she’d made, inspired by Disney princesses. A few of her so-called friends had called it over the top, but this had been Prom of all nights. She'd tried to ask Adrien but...She'd been too shy and her friends had made fun of her, but Hawkmoth? He'd called her beautiful, he'd called her a fairy among humans.
