It's 3 a.m., and I Want You
Prologue
Blythe Baxter was 18 years old, a Senior at DownTown City High. She still lived in the upstairs apartment of Littlest Pet Shop, so she still worked with Ms. Twombly. She loved her life very much. School was glorious, especially because she was the valedictorian this year. She had the ever-lasting support of Youngmee, Jasper, and Sue. Her father and she got along like true comrades. The pets loved her as their owner. And she shared this love for them. In fact, as her hobby/second business, she designed clothes for pets. She dreamed of also designing clothes for humans, but she had not taken the time to pursue that hobby yet.
While Blythe was usually a productive, happy member of society, she did have a deep, dark obsession that no one knew about unless he or she paid very close attention. She never went through with pursuing a serious relationship with Josh, a crush she had in her early high school years. She was more interested in someone else, and he wasn't a human. Well, he was more human than the other pets, and well, most people nowadays. He was none other than Russell Ferguson, an intellectual orange hedgehog. He was her muse and encouragment to be the over-achiever she had become. She thought of him 99 percent of the time, but she kept her feelings for him quiet. Not even her closest confidant, Youngmee, knew about how much in love she was with him.
