A story of heated rock

Zuko x Toph
A story of heated rock

He sat against the tree in rising sun
She watched from under her dome of rock
He lost the girl he loved so much
She wouldn't say how he ruled her so much

Fire nation prince earth kingdom girl
Green princess and red hope unfurls
Lava tying them both as the day moves
Slowly through the paces as the future unknown

He felt the heat burning him alive singing all
She could understand the darkness as it falls
He couldn't make the pain go away
She knew she wouldn't wait to the end of the day

[ Leaving that girl really hurt Sparky. Good thing this leaves the field open for one who can handle him ]

[ My last birthday I had family, I was loved and I lost it all to the avatar. How can he change the future of the three remaining tribes if he can't let me have some happiness.]

A small earth kingdom village was under attack black plumes of smoke perfuming the air as they got close. Toph did not need to say a word to go down everyone understood. Zuko was scouting the area off the side of the flying bison. It was nothing special until the blast hit Appa's side making the bison roll dropping all his passengers in to the incoming fire of the soldiers.

No one really paid attention as they all were fighting hard against the unknown battalion of fire nation soldiers. After the retreat was called and everyone got back together he was first to notice the earthbender missing. Figuring she sat across from him when everyone was thrown he began looking where he estimated she landed.

It was a charred skeleton of a house he walked to unsure of the reason. Asked that day he would say that as he walked he began to sit from above out of the way as his body continued to scan the remains. Green fabric sat under a burnt beam almost completely covered in ash. Jolting into action the rest of the team easily pulled an unconscious ally from the soot and smoky grime.

Aang checked on Appa as this went on to find the bison only had to deal with a bald patch where the fire hit and no severe injury. Coming back he saw Katara kneel as Zuko laid the girl down on her element. Spinning water like a seamstress on her loom the extent of the damage was soon known.

“Light burns on a good portion of her body and a concussion from where she hit her head.”

The realization of her friend being unconscious sent Zuko searching for something. Patching the burns with water from a nearby bush she hoped the rest of the injuries would heal quickly. Foraging through the debris of the abandoned hut until he stood in the small crevice of ash where her body landed. Anger was coming as he well knew it was his fault at least in his own mind. Instead Katara asked just outside of the perimeter in a soft friendly tone

' Why aren't you looking over her?”

“ Fire benders of years past were so focused on battle we never put stock in healing uses for our element”

Scientific, honest, and curt she could not tell any different emotions plaguing him but stood there hoping to see what he was searching for. Before she would ask if any friendship existed between Zuko and Toph she got a question in return.

“ You know why my uncle was so celebrated ?”

Bending down he pulled a heavy object from the ash.

“It was because he studied cause and effect in the world.”

Grey marred the identity of the object as he began to pull a rectangle half his height out of the rubble.

“ So what causes an earthbender to fall and not use her element?”

Resting his palm against the surface the dust instantly popped in a burning fit. She stood befuddled until she saw he was holding up the side of a craftsman's metal tabletop. Carrying it with him he dropped to a knee using the free hand to trace down from the base of her skull to her shoulder blades. Ever since a nasty fight with Azula had sent him through a marble staircase he knew what to look for. Seeing her breathe rested his spirits as he turned back to Katara with cold eyes.

“ When a firebender knows more to healing then a female waterbender it means to study up before someone really needs it. “

Rage bubbled in Katara as she began to fling water only to find cages of yellow wire thin flame around everyone but him. Looking from her situation she spat.

“ How would someone who goes around destroying lives know anything about healing?”

The scarred eye twitched before the cages went down. Marching hard up to the older girl he pulled Aang from his nearby spot and turned face to face and back to her. Pointing at the small notches in his neck he bit back his volume and quietly explained.

“Since you checked her head, hopefully, and there was no crack or break in her skull it would be awfully easy for such small bone such as these... Pointing to the small notches and running finger down the few visible notches earning a small wince from the younger boy” to break”.

Flabbergasted, she cut a blank face and put it on as it dawned on her that he was right.

“ Katara, Zuko, she's waking”

The quarreling pair looked over to see her begin to open her eyes to them.

“ So did I miss the the party?”

The returning Sokka fresh from a thorough scouting run soon decided to let everyone rest for the night before moving on tomorrow. Everyone continued their day in silence each taking turns watching Toph. As night fell on the site and a warm campfire illuminated the area the girl in question tried to break the silence of her three still awake traveling partners.

“ So sparky, what would you be doing in Fire central?”

No response but seeing his heartbeat slow down it was still too touchy of a subject to talk about, leaving Mai.

“What happened while I was out guys you two are preeety angry with each other right now.” Stretching the words for emphasis Katara answered dripping of sarcasm

“ Zuko showed his humanitarian side and brought you back from the dead”

“Really sparky, I'm impressed I was thinking that firebenders couldn't heal.”

“ You hit your head on iron I made sure you did not break your neck”

“I guess I should have checked then before you taught me about being a healer!”

It did not need to be seen to figure out Katara was trying to poison him with her will and make his death natural. It was soon decided that Aang take first watch. Bald held still shining in the the sun he explained the fight between the fire and water tribes. He sat with his head in his hands for a portion of his watch glum at how Zuko treated Katara. Explaining that Zuko believed Katara already knew that little facet and actually didn't was the reason he was mad. Nodding in agreement to this Aang talked about how Katara not being of a noble heritage like Toph and Zuko she never got the chance to study that branch of science. Letting that all sink in he made his way back to Katara to explain everything as Toph was enjoying a stone fruit. From the etched eyebrows on her face throughout the conversation she was still angry.

Toph simply smiled as Katara came next ranting at a volume that pushed everyone out from them only to increase to push everyone further. Getting a word anywhere seemed like a bad idea. It had really cut her deep when Zuko explained about the anatomy of the neck. She let her own girlish emotions spread through her as the waterbender continued to bemoan him. Enjoying the warmth from thinking about him she mused how maybe the fall knocked something loose.

As the sky grew dark the waterbender began to grow impatient to be relieved. Toph lay looking at the stars calmly humming a tune blindly watching the blues pitch to darker purples before going to black with shimmering silver dots. Feeling a cool towel rest on her head she smiled lightly as her flame throwing crush arrived. Having him there even worked against the buzzkill that the other girl was becoming. Looking in to the sky as a blind girl she would always dream up different skies.

Pinks and greens against the constellations in a sky, clear as her mother's earrings. Brought back to reality she simply listened as he hummed a small tune much too softly for anyone but her to hear.

“ Didn't know you hummed lullabies, Sparky.”

She could the sarcasm creep in to his voice as he replied,
“ Its the fire nation funeral march”

Laying back down knowing he was already past the day's argument she simply wanted to enjoy his dry humor and quiet tone.

Wondering how he would be in life without the avatar pulled at his mood he decided to pose the question to Toph who answered honestly.

“ I would be practicing bridal arts and you would be married to that doll back at the palace”

He went stock still at the answer while she grimaced inwardly trying to push him past memories of her.

“ still love her, huh? “

Silence

“I want to touch you again.”

The temperature dropped ten degrees

“ Oh come on its not like your taken anymore!”

Another ten degrees fell as the heat was being siphoned out of the air. Zuko's despair was clear on every shrill breath.

[ I can train an avatar, beat full grown men, and cant talk to a boy I like, great.]

She felt his presence fade to Appa's before returning. More steps were registered as everyone sat around the fire. Aang kept Katara silent already aware of what would occur. Ceramic and wood tapped against each other before a a small cup was put in her hand.

“ Ember Island soju”

Quietly pouring the rest of the round he explained
“ For every birthday we would open a bottle with a loved one or family. However, I was hoping to not drink this with a waterbender this year.

Katara's glare was felt by everyone else as Zuko toasted ,

“ to a better year.”

Sokka's sputtering ruined the peace as Aang spoke up how it smelled of flowers. Raising the cup to her lips Toph was pleasantly surprised. It was sweet and relaxing flowing down her throat with little burn. Going back to the cup she tossed the rest back with barely a thought.

“ Another round, barkeep,” pleasantly remarking before sending her cup to him.

“ Zuko, this is a woman's drink why dyu drink this?” Asking while slightly embarrassed at the slur.

“ Getting a little over your head, sis? Ember Island soju is the drink of choice for soldiers. It can be drank in any quantity without any ill effects the next morning. Glad you shared Zuko, I needed this.” Taking back his cup he continued to parrot on” It can also be bought for special occasions, the stronger it is the more it costs.” Katara was now trying to burn her brother with her gaze before he continued.

“ The nobles get the first pick before the commoners and the royal family gets first pick of the nobles, so I can proly wager that this stuff can polish a sword”

“and how do you know all of this Sokka?”

“Suki drinks it”

Aang seemed pleased with the answer before sipping his. Loosening their tongues the soju made speaking easier as even Katara and Zuko began a peaceful conversation. It took Aang to the third glass to pass out before being dragged away by Sokka and Katara on their fourth and soon going to sleep themselves.

Remaining around a smaller campfire he was leaning in close to her to see if any other small injuries remained of her earlier fall. Toph's resolve did one thing as her blind eyes focused on he ex fire prince. Smelling the smoke of his vest and feeling the heat from him knowing everyone else was asleep she let her control crumble. Pulling him to her she smashed her lips against his. Rough and brutal but so satisfying to him he had to fight hard before looking down at the smiling form of the earthbender. His feet were soon shackled in earth as his lips met hers again.

“ Happy birthday, Sparky.”

He blushed as she wrapped around his waist letting her feet go. Pulling him lower to her their bodies fit like a form of a bizarre puzzle until everything went dark. A small dome of earth had encapsulated them both his smirk on his face as darkness descended. No space to firebend as he lay on top of a smirking girl. Things were not being made easier as her hands began to caress what smooth skin she could find. Taking a kiss or a nip on his shoulders and face he was growing fond of these ministrations.

She could feel it snake its way down their legs. Uncompromising closeness grinding it between him, her, and two layers of cloth. Feeling his vest fluttering off against him he knew what was going to be next. It had come as a small moan of displeasure as she tried to remove his pants. After spurning her hands away she groaned before changing gears. Wrapping her legs around his hips she ground slowly arousal thick on both as the speed increased. A small groan let her know he was close and he soon found himself on his back as her hands grasped him. Going past his waist sash she surprised him by a grasp of skin to skin. Pumping up and down he knew he would not last long.

Maybe he had thought that although he had lost Mai he could have Toph take that place with him. Between his legs resting comfortably stroking him she was thinking along the same lines. Moaning a warning through gnashed teeth whatever was coming it was going to be big. Looking down to him so to speak his body arced to an invisible current as his release sent shot after shot of thick white semen to the top of the low dome of earth back open to both of them.

Quietly, the fire lady put the old journal on its slot in the bookcase. That story always put a grin on her face and today a little royal fun was needed. Letting her hair free from the ornate gold tie it fell to her lower back. Under the customary dress she wore her training uniform that always got him to look a little closer whenever she was seen. Pulling the chair to her desk she began to act with a pencil to get his attention. Fire lord Zuko had been in the thick of bureaucratic meetings ever since he began his rule one year and two seasons ago. Walking over to the bed he landed with a fwump not noticing his wife's activities. She soon stood up with her back to him letting the fabric fall from her shoulders. Her green top stretched by a pair of heavy rounded breasts. Her bottoms were replaced with a pair of shimmering black shorts that outlined her hard hips and soft thighs. Walking over to his prone body she captured his lips. Laying directly on top of him he could only wonder as she spoke in a sing song tone.

“ Happy birthday to me..”

Flushed, he looked up before turning her over. Nether lips were already slick with her fluid and the soft tight fabric could barely hold it back. Pushing the tip of his nose he begun to prod through the fabric touching off small fireworks in her head. Tying her legs around his head she was pushed up on to his shoulders as Zuko dispensed the formal ware. Balancing between him and the mattress she writhed as his tongue found its way to the ball of nerves. Pushing it slowly to the left and clockwise spiked pleasure down her spine before finally releasing after a hard prod. Sharp smelling fluid ran down his cheeks dripping down to the covers. Her face contorted as a bright orgasm ripped through her. Coming down from her peak she slumped back on the bed as he lay over her.

“ Happy birthday, Fire lady Beifong.”
