A Stroll to the Park

( Okay, before I get chewed out or corrected, Stewie will have red hair in this because there was indeed an episode that showed him as a teenager, but with red hair, even though in the episodes where he found his future self, he had brown hair. Okay. Cool. We're good? Good. Action.~ )

Brian was not ready for the red-headed teenager to bust into his room and point an accusing finger at him. He was not ready for the insults that poured from the young male as he stepped towards the canine, snapping a leash onto his collar and smiling almost evilly.

"You're too lazy," Stewie had said. "From now on, I am going to start taking you on walks."

"Stewie, I'm old. Give me a break."

"You're not that old; not yet."

Refusing to argue further, and no, not out of laziness, the dog allowed Stewie to pull him out of the house and onto the sidewalk.

Stewie had grown up nicely, keeping himself in shape unlike his sibling and father, and obviously took a lot of his traits from Lois; red hair, feminine face and figure, and of course, his smarts.

Even though Lois did have her blond moments.

After a good twenty minutes of walking, Brian was beat and panting. Stewie had sighed, sitting down on a nearby bench and crossing his legs and arms. "You're pitiful," the teen said, watching Brian slump and drag himself up to sit on the bench with the other. Stewie merely squinted, making no attempts to help the male canine.

Brian heaved and leaned back, closing his eyes.

"You're going to kill me with this bull-crap walking," the dog said, resting his paws on his stomach.

"Mm, yes, and you're going to kill me with your fat rolls," Stewie grunted, pinching a roll on Brian's side for emphasis. The dog growled and rolled his eyes.

The walk had made it all the to the park, and Brian was heaving all over again. It was getting dark outside, and Stewie could only shake his head at the other. He crouched down and propped his elbows onto his knees, resting his cheeks in the palms of his hands. He watched the dog pant and wheeze, feeling almost bad, now.

Brian opened his eyes only slightly to look over the teen before him. Dark, tight jeans showed off his girlish legs, and the pink polo he was wearing was only flattering that figure more.

Stewie grew up to be really... good-looking.

Brian heaved, trying to get that thought out of his head, and sat up. He swiped his paw over his forehead and sighed. "I think you may have to carry me back," he panted. "My legs are sore, almost numb."

"The day I carry you home will be the day the Fat-Man gets a college degree."

Brian couldn't help but chuckle at that. He stood to his hind-legs and stretched, a few joints popping loudly as he groaned. He was getting on in age. It was something that he made it far enough to see Stewie as a teenager. He shuffled onto a bench and looked up at the sky. Stewie sat beside him.

The two watched the moon slowly climb into the sky, and after a brief moment of silence, Stewie looked over at Brian through the corner of his eye. He then leaned over and unhooked the leash from Brian's collar, sighing. "I guess I can't teach an old dog new tricks."

"What do you mean?" Brian asked, watching the other.

"I mean, you're getting older, and I guess," he paused, leaning back slowly. "I guess I'm dreading the day you won't be around anymore."

Something hit Brian hard, then. Something that wrapped around his heart and squeezed tight. He rested his paws on his knees and looked down, unsure of what to say.

Age hadn't really changed him, but you could still tell he was older. His fur had become more coarse and rugged, and his eyes gave off a sense of some sort of, elderly wisdom, or something along that line. He looked back up for a moment, then back down, then to Stewie.

He slid closer to the teen and rested his paw on his hand. Stewie blinked and looked down to the gesture. Thin fingers moved to lace with the canine's own, and he poke his bottom lip out some.

"Mm," the red-head hummed in slight confusion. Brian smiled nervously and squeezed his hand softly.

"It's not like the place will be much different."

"Pfft, yes, because you can easily forget a walking, talking dog."

They chuckled softly, and Stewie leaned down some, moving towards the other. He nuzzled his nose against Brian's, and the dog tilted his head to the side some, turning the nuzzle into a kiss.

Stewie tensed some, but leaned into the male softly, kissing back.

After a moment, they broke away, Brian rubbing behind his own ear and Stewie grinning madly. The teen stood and snapped the leash back onto his collar.

"Let's go home."

"B-But! I'm still tired, and--"

"Lazy," the teen grumbled, ruffling the top of Brian's head. The dog smiled softly and slid from the bench. He stepped in front of Stewie and the two began to make their way home.

A/N
Yeah. I know. You all are like, "What, no sex?"
I may add another little chapter with some "whee!" but, eh, I guess I was aiming for a more romantic kind of thing; nothing sexual, though. Please R&R. Thanks!
