The following contains characters that belong to Viacom and MTV. Jaguarsolaris and Lady Delilah, I hope the two of you enjoy this one-shot. Hopefully I'll be able to finish that next part of To be Spiraled. This starts one second after that infamous kiss between Daria and Tom.

***

She didn't know why she did it. This wasn't right, but it had felt good. As Daria basked in the euphoria, the kissing pair didn't seeing the approach of Jessie. The only thing that let the two know that he was there was the door on Tom's side opening and the Fielding student being pulled out. Tom's back slams hard against the door as Jessie holds Slone by the collar.
"Kissing someone else besides Janie, huh Slone?" Jessie growls. Tom visibly gulps. Jessie had the capacity to beat him within an inch of his life.
"Let him go Jessie." Daria says trying to calm him down.
"I suggest you leave before I do the same thing I'll do to him!" he shouts yanking on Tom's right arm hard.
"Owe!" Tom cries out in pain.
"I suggest you stay out of this Daria, or you'll end up like this ass." Jessie says and smacks Tom on his temple.
'Great, I guess I'll have to get Trent and Jane if I don't want Jessie to kill Tom.' she thinks and heads off for Jane's.

***

Trent sits on the hood of his car waiting on his sister to come out so they could get some black hair dye. He rubs his eyes to get the sleep out of them.
'Hm, what could have gotten into her head that Daria could dye hair. Janie was the one who wanted Tom and Daria to get along. Now she was seeing things that weren't there. Daria would never have the guts to take Tom, but Tom might just be stupid enough to cheat on his sister.'
"Trent!"
"Daria!?" Trent calls back.
"It's...,Jessie...,he's going...,to kill...,Tom...,for kissing me." Daria pants out.
"What!?" Trent and the towel covered Jane exclaim. The Lane siblings start on a dead run for Daria's place. Jane gets ahead of her brother as they run down the street.

***

"Look...," Tom whimpers out, "I'm sorry..,okay!?"
"Not good enough, Slone." Jessie responds to the younger boy. The upper half of Toms body was slumped against the back of his car. He was sporting bruises and his shirt was torn in several places.
"Look! I know I should have broke it off with Jane. I made a mistake all right!" Tom shouts.
"Yes you did." Jane says to Tom and puts a hand on Jessie's shoulder. "You've done enough Jess." she says in a soft tone. "He's learned his lesson."
"Man, you certainly gave him a beating." Trent says after catching his breath.
"What is this? The gathering of the freaks?" Sandy asks. "What's with the towel, Lane?"
"Don't you have a blush off to get back to Griffin?" Daria asks.
"Just what kind of guy would want to kiss you anyway brain?" Sandy berates. "I mean c'mon, you are hiding the fact that you have no figure what so ever under that outfit, and your voice is worse than my cat's singing."
Jane bites her lip. 'Can't blame Daria for this. All right maybe I was stupid for asking her to dye my hair. Damn it, why couldn't she have gotten with Trent? Oh yeah, that damned project.' Jane thinks as she watches the stoic Daria walking towards the front door of her house.
"Nothing to say brain?" Sandy taunts. "Going to cry up in that room of yours?" she continues but gets the front door shutting as an answer.
"Gawd Sandy, how much of a bitch can you be?" Jane asks. "And you!" Jane yells at Tom, "You and I are over! You should just have ended it with me instead of kissing my friend behind my back!"
"Only a fool would kiss that thing." sandy quips.
"Will you just stay out of this!" Jane fumes at Sandy.
"I just want to know why this guy would kiss a brain." Sandy replies.
'I didn't know there was some sort of a rivalry between Daria and her sister's friend.' Trent ponders.
"I guess he doesn't know ugly when he sees it." Sandy says smirking.
"Is this how you want me to Dress, Griffin?" a soft voice speaks from behind Sandy. The president of the fashion club turns to see Daria dressed up like when she had to force Quinn to quit dressing in all black and acting like a pseudo brain. The only difference was that she had her glasses on.
"What the hell is this!?" Sandy cries.
"This is how you wish to see me isn't it?" Daria asks.
"You've got to be stuffing your bra, brain." Sandy growls out.
"Nope," Trent quietly says to himself, "they look real to me." he finishes with a half grin.
"Ask Quinn about that. You ought to thank me, Griffin. I got decked out in this ridiculous outfit just to drive Quinn back to her world."
"Oooh brain! You'll pay for this." Sandy says and goes back inside.
"Well, I guess that puts fashion Hitler in her place." Jane says smirking.
"Gawd, if I have to put on this outfit again for any reason Jane, shoot me." Daria responds.
"Pink isn't your color anyway." Trent whispers in her ear. Jessie snickers. He was the only one to notice Trent's movements. "Next time go with an auburn shirt to match your hair." he continues and runs a hand through her hair.
"C'mon Trent, I know you're enthralled over there, but I need some hair dye." Jane says.
"I'll take her to get it, Trent. You stay here." Jessie says dragging Jane off after winking at Trent.
"Why auburn?" she asks blushing.
"It's my favorite shade of red. Now, why were you the one to ask me for thirty seconds of music? Janie could asked me and I would have said 'yes'." he asks still stroking her hair.
"Jane was the one who conned me into doing it."
"You gonna get with Tom?"
"It's doubtful."
"Good." Trent responds with a half smirk on his face. He then captures her lips in a deep, passionate kiss. After he pulls away he turns to look at the stunned Tom. "That's how you kiss a girl man."
"W-w-why did you...?" Daria tries to ask but she falls silent with a finger to her lips.
"Tom doesn't deserve you, hell, I don't deserve you, but he'll just do what he just did to Janie to you. I don't want that to happen to you."
"I wouldn't...!" Tom tries to protest.
"Shut it Tom before I cut your guts out and stuff them down your damned throat." Trent growls. Slone gulps and decides that leaving would be a good thing right now. Trent smirks as Tom pulls away from Daria's house.

"Look," Jane starts as the two girls walk to school the next day, "I was foolish to ask you to dye my hair. I should have broke up with Tom the moment I knew it was ending. As for Trent's actions, I don't know what to think of that boy."
"I accept your apology, and Lane,"
"Yeah?"
"Don't ever tell me to try to get along with any of your boyfriends again unless it's Jessie. I don't want to go through that again."
"So, what are you going to do about that brother of mine?"
"I don't know how I could handle a relationship with someone like him. He did blow that commitment."
"Ah, but you seemed to enjoy yourself when he kissed you."
"I'll question him about that. I'm sorry too for being the second party in kissing Tom. He had lured me into that car of his under the pretense that we were going to talk about you."
"Damn! I should've let Jessie finish the job."

Trent sits at the edge of his bed playing his acoustic guitar. He then hears a knock at his door.
"Come in," Trent calls out. "Hey Daria," he greets as the auburn steps into the sanctuary of the musician.
"We need to talk."
"I figured we needed to." Trent says as Daria sits beside him on the bed.
"Why did you kiss me?"
"I guess I was flexing a little male ego in front of Slone and...,"
"And?"
"....,and I wanted to show my appreciation for what I knew you were hiding."
Daria blushes profusely and quickly looks down at the floor. "I like the second part of that answer." she finally manages to say.
"Where do you want to go from here?" he asks.
"Kiss me again. I need to know that what I felt wasn't just my hormones getting out for some sun."
Trent laughs and then leans forward to kiss her. Daria finds herself pressing her lips hard against Trent's as her blood heats up.

'I guess practice will have to wait." Jessie muses hearing the noises from behind Trent's door. He would just have to make up some excuse to Max and Nick.
"Hey Jess, what are ya doing just standing in front of Trent's door?" Jane asks. She had come back from her run.
"I was going to tell him that we were ready to practice, but Trent's busy."
"Busy?" Jane asks and hears the cries of the female orgasm.
"See what I mean?"
"I'll just have to take a peak. He didn't do that with Monique." Jane says slowly opening the door and looks through the crack. She quickly shuts it and slumps against the door.
"Daria?" Jessie asks.
"Daria." Jane responds. "Well, I think we now need to talk." she says walking to her room and Jessie follows.
