The color of water
I hope you enjoy it! this is my first story :3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The soft pit-pat of dragon flies wings made a sharp hum in the air. Their wings flashed magnificent colors as they darted into suns reach. It was the time of summer, everything was cross. Except one girl.
The pond was her quiet zone, just her own small world for thoughts. It was so succulent at these times of war to find a quiet place, but she did. It was the pond.
she didn't care about discarding her robe and stepping full on into the icy depths. where fish urgently tried to swim away from her ripples.
laughing and splashing about, taking a dive or two she streamed water from one another in long strings. What bliss it was to be a water bender at such hot times!
After along time delightfully soaking in the pond, it had turned into a bath. The girl softly sung a song she remembered her mother signing to her when she was little. She didn't want to make the song to loud, or it might attract unwanted visitors.
"Water is the color of water oh dear oh dear? what is the color of water?"
"I'll tell you what the color of water is oh dear oh...dear...I'll tell you"
"bum bum did deee dee di..." The girl sung sweetly while ringing out her hair. It dripped down her back making her shiver slightly, was it getting colder? she couldn't tell. The trees obscured the view from the sun, but bye the looks of her hands they where wrinkled and soggy. Struggling to walk to the land, the water was puling on her. It didn't want her to go, small glassy threads of water attached to the girl's back making it hard for her to move.
The girl sighed and drew the water successfully from her carmel skin, "I'm sorry I'll come back later." she was talking to the water. It seemed that did the trick, the water threads disappeared back into the pool, with not disobeying orders.
"Oh tell me dear oh dear...what is you name..?" an abrupt mocking sound of a boy's voice came from the tree above her. She swore then faltered and stumbled backwards causing a very loud splash into the pond. "Show yourself coward!" she shouted, but nervousness also tinted her voice.
"as you wish," The voice came back more like a purr. A loud snap of branches then something fell gracefully in-front of her. Luckily she was submerged underneath in murky water covering anything she didn't want the stranger to see, "Wh-o the hell are you? WANT DO YOU WANT?!" she shouted, she was protected by the water with bending abilities.
She felt anger prussure her on, the water felt hot now on her skin, not soft and glossy. A man stood there with a smirk on his face, but more like a boy, about 16 or so. She wanted to stranggle him with the water, make him suffer. HE WAS A PERVERT! but instead the girl stood there dumbfounded with anger, but to frightend to lash out. Her head was throbing with questions "I said who...are you" She asked sneering. The man had stunning bloned hair with blue eyes, she had never seen someone so gourgeous. The boy drummed his fingers on his coat and nodded slightly like he took in whatever she said to slow. "Well, Katara" that did it for the girl. Not caring about how protected she was she rasied up her arms, exposing her full body then thrusted out a long water rope, like and extender of her arm the water held the boys throat.
'WHO ARE YOU DAMN IT?! HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME YOU PERVERT!"
The guy looked a bit limp in her water rope, she lossend a bit so that she saw that the boys chest was heaving up and down, a sign that he was breathing. some sound came from his lips, barely she could make out some words. "how can i tell you if your trying to kill me? if you do kill me you......" She let the bind off his throat and desned it back into the pond. She noticed breifly there was a moon gliting off the surface. Damn.
Now where was sokka and Aang? surely they will save her....this guy was sure in for it.
The man struggled standing up, he had a hand to his throat and with a gleefuly smilie he said "Oh look...you made me bleed ," Katara stood and was a bout to raise her water bind when the man vansihed up a tree. Gone just like day it self. His eyes, blue eyes where so....cool made her get lost into a trance of imagination and longingness, but what? for what? why? Katara was cold and she felt like she was being watched by him. " I WILL KILL YOU!" she yeld tears coming out from her eyes...why was she crying?!
As finally her anger subsided enough that she could walk out of the pond, she then tended to herself to take her mind off that basterd. She was so cold! it was just after sunset she had been in the pond for....6 hours? and that man...he was watching.....baffeled she stood there while having just her robe over her. Now the dragon flies where gone leaving it's fellow friends of the night, the cricket and firflies made the night seem so different and welcoming. The moon made the only light possible with a few filckers from the fireflies, other then that she seemed lost.
Sokka was always joking about doing a "co'ed" bath and pointing out Aang as a suittible partner for her, Katara had felt angery and grabbed sokkas dinner and threw it off his plate making him whimper in displeasure. But now that idea didn't seem so bad, there was a man about. And worse he knew about her!
