FIRST KISS:
Yesterday at the New York Anime Festival, I got my hot little slashy paws on Fairytale’s adorable Transformers Slash, MegaStar of the Decepticons. Oh my god it’s adorable. Like, face-meltingly cute. The only problem is: it’s all in Chinese. I don’t read Chinese. Sigh. The images are a sort of chibi/cutesified G1 Starscream and Megatron. And because I have just fallen in LOVE with them both, I decided to write these cute little guys my own slash. This is very different from the festival of raunchiness that is my usual TF slash. I wrote it as a short doujinshi script. And yes I know that it's G1, but I didn't find a heading under cartoons for G1 either. :( So here it is with my other stuff.
I discovered it's a very different thing to tell a story that's going to have images versus my usual...prosiness.
Not nasty at all: The reaction I’m looking for is AWWWWWWWWWWWW. :P
PAGE ONE (five panels)
Panel One: Megatron, seated alone, on a curb, head in his hands. Looking sad and lonely.
Panel Two: Pull out from panel one—three seekers (Thundercracker, Skywarp and Starscream) standing in a huddle behind Megatron, talking.
“Wonder what his problem is?” (No need to specify who says this line)
Panel Three: Close in on the Seekers.
Thundercracker: “He’s just so weird.”
Starscream: “I think he looks sad.”
Skywarp: “Leave him alone—he’s mean!”
Starscream: “I’m going to go talk to him.”
Panel Four: Starscream seated next to Megatron, turning to talk to him. Megatron still hunched forward.
Megatron: “What do you want?” (He looks a little hostile)
Starscream: “I just want to be your friend.”
Megatron: “Why?”
Panel Five—bigger than the others—take up bottom third of the page with this one. Starscream leans in, eyes closed, kissing Megatron on the cheek.
Starscream: “Because I like you.”
PAGE TWO: Six panels.
Panel One: Megatron is blushing, looking surprised, touching his cheek where Starscream had kissed him looking off to his left, to panel two:
Panel Two: Starscream, blushing furiously, running away.
Panel Three: Caption: “Next day.” Megatron walking down a corridor, past Starscream.
Starscream: “Hi!” looking cheerful and a little nervous, if possible.
Panel Four: Megatron pushes Starscream against the wall with one hand and keeps walking. Megatron doing this, looks angry. Starscream, shocked.
Panel Five: Starscream after being shoved by Megatron slides down the wall, looking dejected.
Panel Six: Skywarp and Thundercracker helping him to his feet.
Starscream: “I don’t…understand…” Looks on the verge of tears.
Skywarp: “We told you he was mean.”
PAGE THREE:
Panel One: Caption: “Two days later.” Starscream is walking outside, down a street. We can see an ominous shape in an alley he’s about to walk past.
Panel Two: A hand reaches out of the alley and snatches Starscream, pulling him into the alley. (It’s Megatron’s hand, obviously).
Panels Three through Five should be in the same row. They are ‘cuts’ of the same scene. Panel three: Megatron kisses Starscream, on the lips. Make sure that Megatron is taller than Starscream in this sequence.
Panel Four: Starscream’s hands come up, fingers splayed, surprised—they’re still kissing.
Panel Five: Yup, still kissing. Starscream’s arms now wrap around Megatron in an embrace.
Panel Six. Full or ¾ shot of Starscream’s face looking up (remember—Megatron is taller than he is) Go for that super cute giant eye thing, if you want. They’ve (finally) stopped kissing.
Starscream: “Wh—what was that for?” He looks surprised.
Panel Seven: Megatron’s face, looking a little stern. He doesn’t like having to say this—he’s a little shy/uncomfortable.
Megatron: “I like you MORE.”
