Another Doomed Year

The Red and Purple Tallest are obviously in a waiting room that is quite nice. They are in the process of checking in with the "autoreceptor"... As purple starts looking around the room: "Yoo-hoo!...I say, yoo-hoo...Is anybody a- home?...yoo-hoo..." Red sighed as he folded his arms "Stop it!! Stop it right now! You're going to make us look silly." His red eyes casted down to his folded arms. "Try to act like the Almighty Tallest that you are...like I am...like we BOTH are...you know what I mean, don't you?...don't you?...Where are you? Where did you go?"

Red spins back and forth and between his legs looking for Purple. When suddenly he jumps out "BOOOOOOOO!" Red screams and drops to the floor covering his head. "I'm awfully sorry...Did I frighten you, or is rolling in your excrement a new thing you're trying to do to attract the opposite sex?" He said as he looked down at the other Irkan. "Definitely not the wa go. go...wait a minute...I like it...a pity ploy right?...yeah...'Look at me, I'm a frightened little boy that will roll in his pee-pee if he's scared!'...yeah...
I like it a lot...maybe if you could dukie on command,..." Red stood at this moment, with anger.

"DON'T SAY ANOTHER WORD!!! EVER, EVER AGAIN! TO ME!!!"

Purple then looked at red "What if I see a great, big..."

Red hissed at him. " NOTHING! NO WORDS! EVER AGAIN TO ME! EVER. Soooo... why are you hiding behind the fake foliage? HMMM?

Purple give a smirk as he put his hands behind his back.. "You see, I wanted to hide behind it, and then jump out and scare you. So I hid behind it, and jumped out...AND SCARED YOU!!! But the foliage is not fake...just the part that's green...the rest is real."


Red gave a nod at purple. "Ohhhhh. That's way different. You actually blended in quite well. If You want, I'll turn around and you can try to scare me again...I bet you can't."

" Yes I could..."

" No you couldn't.."

" Yes I could..."

" No you couldn't..."

"Yes I cou.."..

At this point, the autoreception(ist) announces that they have been observed in the "Foremost Room of Awaiting" behaving very badly, and if they don't cease and desist and state their business immediately, they will be removed forcibly and with great force...to" points unknown". At this point, Purple starts to cry.

" Now you've done it! You've made my brother cry, and you are really in for it! Whoever you are. Now, say you're sorry, and really mean it...my brother will know if you're just saying you're sorry because I said to say you're sorry. Go ahead...say it...say you're sorry to Jeffie."

Jeffie/Purple is seen wiping away his tears leaving behind clean streaks like a child with a dirty face. He looks up at the monitor which is the autoreceptor, waiting for his apology.

" Are you prepared to state your business?" Said Autoreceptor:

"Are you prepared to apologize" said Red/ Tom

The Autoreceptor: began to speack once more "I see you're leaving no choice...Prepare yourself to be forcibly ejected from the immediate area to points unknown..."

Tom then said with a huge voice as he looked to it.: "Perhaps...you didn't hear me...I SAID, we are here to see the General...

Jeffie looked to his brother and then to the autoreceptor "That would be the General Reginald Grant Tallkin"

"Straight down the hallway, it's the door at the very end. Use caution not to open any doors along the way. At this time there are many intergalactic conferences and attendees." Said the Autoreceptor:

Jeffie noded "Yeah,...uh huh...got it..." he said walking through the doors, as Tom said one more thing before he left. "I hope you've given us the right directions. We'll know."

Jeffie popping his head back in and saying "Yeah. We'll know."

As they start to make their way down the very long hallway, Jeffie asks if maybe the door they want is, "this one?"...or "this one?" and then they start to giggle. For no reason, Jeffie decides to open a door, and peek in. Tallest's faces making a questioning look while standing in the door- way...: "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! They close the door and then open it again, this time with a different expression on their faces.... when then a voice could be heard. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! They close the door and then open it with yet another expression on their faces. This time Tom and Jeffie started to scream : "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! They close the door just in time before an item that was thrown at them from inside the room hits the door. They continue down the long corridor and stand outside the General's door.

"Let's do this together at the exact same time."

"Okay. On 3. One. Two... Three!!!"

The Tallest open the door with a great flourish. When they do, they also announce... "DADDY! WE'RE HERE!

They both run down opposite sides of an extermely long conference table. As they do, they also see the approving nods of all those seated at the table. They are pleased to see that the General is obviously a doting father. The group all move down one seat, so Tom and Jeffie can each sit next to their father.

"OH Daddy! We missed you so much!"

"Yeah daddy we missed you. Did you bring us anything?"

the General gave a little sigh as he looked at his boys. " Boys...I only came here...to work...like I always do. I haven't gone anywhere. But here...I've got something for you anyway..."

They both close their eyes and put out their hands. After they feel something put into their hands they open their eyes.

"Thats right... erasers! Now you'll both have to skidaddle under the table. Daddy has important business to conduct...and REMEMBER!." He said ".NO more of the shoe shinnanagans! That means everyone will go home with the SAME shoes they came in with!!! Do you understand?"

The both said "Yes daddy ...we understand..." A slight giggle from the people around the table...

The General then ture back to the other people in the room "All right then shall we officially begin this conference of this Alien Council? Is everyone present?" A small voice comes out from under the table...

"PRESENTS?!?!!!!

Tom hit his brother "Shhhhhhh....Not presents, present!"

"OOOhhhh..." Oh, by the way, have you decided when the best time would be to tell daddy about you-know- what?"

"Not exactly...so, how about now? Maybe now would be good since there are so many people around that he might not even care. Yeah, I'm thinking now is a very good time."

"Wait just a second...I haven't finished coloring on everyones's shoes."

" C'mon...it's very dark under here...and rather warm too...it's very dark and warm."

They both make their way to the head of the table where their father is, and grabbing at his feet and knees he looks down. With their eyes wide and big smiles on their faces they look up and say


"Daddy?"......Guess what?!

"Yes boys...what is it? You know I'm very busy..."

"We know you're very busy, but this is REALLY funny...Go ahead Jeffie...you can tell daddy the REALLY funny thing...go ahead...tell him."

"Well, somehow, and neither of us know how it happened exactly, but somehow...some way...while we were baby-sitting our very own baby sister, the beautiful Irkan Princess, and

Heir-to-the-Throne...she left, and is now gone."


With the last word spoken, both of the Mighty Tallest were up and out of the room where the meeting was being held, at an amazing speed...actually becoming just a blur. Leaning on the

door they just closed, they take a deep breath and smile at eachother\

"I think that went rather well, don't you?" Before Tom could answer, the door bursts open, ripping itself off the hinges, and falls flat on top of both the Mighty Tallest.

At this point, there is a rush of people who were at the meeting running out of the room and over the flattened door. When the Mighty Tallest think the last person has run over the door, Tom

lifts his head up to answer. : "Yes, as a matter of fa..." Before Tom could finish, one last person came of tof the room and flattened the door, with both of the Tallest under it, one last time.
