Disclaimer:
I do not own Gargoyles/Disney related but the original character, Eve Anderson, is from my own mind and is not a character of Disney. I get no pay and am only doing this for fun
chapter 7
I know the story seems to be going a bit slow. There will be fluff and stuff soon enough. LOL Right now I'm just playing with them a bit, showing how off balance two people can be in the beginning. Please review!!
For once the day goes quietly giving Eve the chance to catch up on paperwork. Just as the clock chimes 5pm, Fox steps into the office with a cart loaded down with boxes. “No so fast, Eve.” Fox smiles evilly at her. “Your dresses have arrived and need to be fitted.” Eve lays her head down on the desk, groaning. “Really? Must I play dress up?” “Yes you must.” Fox laughs at her, grabbing her arm and hauling her out of her chair. “Now humor me for a few hours and pretend you are enjoying being primped and pampered.” “Ok.” She sighs and follows Fox to the elevators. “I already have the small ballroom ready so the seamstresses will have room to make adjustments while you are trying on each dress.” Fox winks at her. “Don’t worry. This will be as painless as possible.” The elevator doors open and Eve nearly chokes on her response when she sees Owen inside. He steps back to allow them and the cart in, trying to look anywhere but at Eve. Fox glances from one to the other, noticing both of them blushing each time their eyes meet. Inwardly, she laughs at them but tries not to look interested in their antics. Owen finally breaks the silence as the elevator ascends. “Elements of torture?” Eve sees his glance towards the boxes. “Absolutely. Fox loves seeing me squirm every time she says ‘dress fitting’.” His lips twitch up. “I am sure you will survive the night.” The doors open and Fox winks at him as they exit. “If you get bored at the play, I’m sure she would not mind you checking up on her to make sure we haven’t tightened her corset too much.” He glances at Eve as the doors close, noticing her cheeks flame in embarrassment. “Perhaps I will.”
