Bobby did lift after lift on the bench press. the almost 200 lbs worth of weight slammed up and down as Bobby aggressively lifted the weight.

"Getting out some anger I see."

"Oh, yeah, sorry if I wasn't supposed to be down here this early." Bobby apologized.

"Better you take it out on the equipment than one of your teammates. I take it things haven't gone well then?"

"My mom has forbidden me to ever see her again and I haven't seen her around school in a week." Bobby lamented.

"You really like her, don't you?"

"I've fallen for her again and I don't want to get back up." Bobby replied.

"Keep lifting son. I'll let you know when you need to head for homeroom." his coach said and Bobby continues his excersises.

Minh looked over at the curled up form of her daughter who was laying on the couch. Her blood boiled while wondering why that boy hadn't come to see her. She looked out the window to see if he was coming back home from school and saw Peggy's car and Peggy and Bobby getting out. Minh exploded out the door and stormed towards them.

"Peggy hill!" she screamed. Bobby winced realizing that he better make himself scarce. He headed inside and relaxed the moment he closed the door. He knew what they were arguing about...his lack of visits to see Connie. He dropped his bag off in his room and quickly made his way out the back door. He crossed the yard and made his way towards Connie's.

For a moment, he saw red seeing Connie laying there. His anger towards his mother and Joseph boiled up yet again. He calmed down and walked over to her prone form. He sat down and pulled her into his arms. She wake, tensed for only a moment, and then relaxed and held on for dear life to him.

"Bobby," she whimpered.

"I am so sorry, Connie. My mother didn't want me to see you ever again," he whispered into her hair. "Damn it, I love you...I don't care what she thinks, I'll run away with you if I have to."

"I'm sorry. You were right...we shouldn't have gone to that stupid party," she sniffled.

"No, we were being bullied and we didn't need to be dictated to about who we can or can't bring to a party."

""Dictated", you're picking up some of my vocabulary," she said while wiping her eyes on his shirt. He chuckled and tightened his hold on her.

"How long do you think they'll yell at each other?" Kahn asked Hank who sighed and closed his eyes.

"Don't know, but we better not get in the middle of that or they'll yell at us," Hank replied.

"Now, that I will agree with," Kahn remarked. "I'll check on Connie. You better make sure there's no blood spilled," he said and walked away to go into his house. He saw that sitting on the couch was Bobby who was rocking a peacefully sleeping Connie. Bobby tensed up, waiting for Connie's father to demand he leave.

"Good, you stay right there...don't think about moving," Kahn instructed and quickly headed back out the door.

"She ok?" Hank asked after Kahn came back out.

"Your boy is in there, right where he belongs at the moment."

"Yeah, well, ever since Luanne got with Lucky, Peggy has been trying to find something or someone to control like she tried with Luanne. Bobby became Peggy's new Luanne and when Bobby and Connie got back together..."

"Your crazy wife got crazier," Kahn finished and Hank sighed again.

"I kept telling her to let go a little but she won't. Odds are now that Bobby will either go to a college out in New York or California," Hanks said while shuddering at the prospects of that happening.

"And Connie will follow like a loyal puppy," Kahn finished. The two men saw Peggy storm inside and Minh did the same. Five minutes later, Peggy stormed back out and headed over to the Souphanousinphones'.

"Bobby! Get out here right now and I mean now!" Peggy shouted.

"You stay right there, Bobby Hill. You belong at Connie's side at the moment," Minh said.

"Get away from my house you crazy woman!" Kahn cried out.

"My boy is in that house and I'll get him out!"

"Oh no you don't!" Minh screamed.

"Oh Bobby!" Connie cried against him.

"Get some clothes and sneak out the back door."

"What?"

"We're running away from this for a while until those two cool off. I've got a spare key to both my parents' cars. We'll take mom's car. I'm not going to take dad's truck. Hurry," he frantically said and Connie ran to her room to pack.

"Damn it Peggy, listen for one gahd-dang minute," Hank started but Peggy continued to rant at Minh. Then Kahn heard the sound of two car doors slam shut and Peggy's car pull out of the driveway.

"Hey! Does Bobby have a key to your cars?" Kahn asked stopping the fight between the women.

"Yeah, just in case of an emergency...damn it Peggy! They probably took off!" he shouted and Kahn smacked his forehead in frustration.

"I'm going to tan his hide when I find him!" Peggy shrieked.

"And have them try and run away on an airplane!? I don't think so Peggy Hill! C'mon Kahn, Peggy's car sucks so we can find them real quick!" Minh shouteds. Hank got into his truck after Peggy slammed the passenger door shut and the two sets of parents left.

"Are you sure we should do this?" Connie asked.

"I'm tired of my mom's attitude towards you. I'm also tired of not being there when you've been hurt like you were. I just don't care about the consequences anymore. The cops can come after us for all I care," Bobby said.

"You know they'll find us. The car..."

"I know where they'll go...we stay off the main routes for a few miles or so and then hit the main highway further up," he explained. 'Fuck you, mom...fuck you and your need to control someone's life,' he thought as he continues to drive. 'We'll be back once you cool off.' he muses feeling the card in his pocket. He new the pin number and he could draw out enough money for a week or so before his mother changed the number or froze the account. But, a week was all he wanted. That would teach his mother a lesson, or at least he hoped so.
