Chapter 7 - Love is a Battlefield

(the seventh chapter opens with a shot of Trinako's bedroom. Although spotless after the night before, no one is there. That changes when the door opens and two small figures enter. They are Viola and Lin. Feeling a bit bored, the two tykes decide to snoop around to see what to do. Lin, of course, isn't so sure about it.)

Lin: (unsure) Why are we here in my mommy's room, Viola?

Viola: Well, we're bored. I'm sure there's something here that your mommy has for fun.

Lin: (unsure) I'm unsure if we're allowed to.

Viola: Don't worry, I'm sure your mommy will have something for us to do.

(as they search for something to do, Lin notices a book by her mother's bed.)

Lin: Um, Viola. I think I found something.

Viola: What did you find?

Lin: A book. (hops on the bed, as does Viola)

Viola: So your mommy reads love novels too?

Lin: (grabs the book and looks closer) Looks different to me.

Viola: So, lets read it.

Lin: Ok.

(Lin then opens the book. As they read it, the book turns out to be a diary. Since this is been read by two five-year-olds, Trinako's writings are imagined in child-like drawings, mostly stick-figures with eyes and lines for mouths, and everything looks like it's drawn from a crayon. We then hear Trinako's voice for the narration.)

Trinako: (voice-over) Dear Diary, today I had yet another argument with my husband, Maxis. I was getting ready to attend a soiree on the planet Xenos when he came into the room.

(as she speaks, we see Trinako depicted like a normal stick-figure putting on a fancy dress. When Maxis appears, however, he is depicted as a huge blocky being with a never changing scowl.)

Trinako: (voice-over) He demanded to know what I was doing. I told him of the soiree I was attending, but he wouldn't hear none of it. We wanted me to stay with him and keep my mouth quiet. As I tried to reason with him, he attacked me and ripped my dress apart!

(as she speaks, the drawings are shown arguing until the Maxis figure rips apart Trinako's dress. He then pounces on her.)

Trinako: (voice-over) He then proceeded to rape me as a way of telling me that I'm his and his property only; stating that my status as Madame Chancellor means nothing to him!

(cut back to Viola and Lin for a moment.)

Lin: (confused) What does that mean?

Viola: (shrugs)

(they continue reading on. As we go back to the drawings, we see that the situation between Trinako and Maxis have become quite worse.)

Trinako: (voice-over) Being forced to marry Maxis had become the biggest mistake of my life! All he ever does is harm me in every which way imaginable! For the love of Cog, my circuits can't take it anymore!

(as Viola and Lin read onward, they become full aware of the pain Trinako went through.)

Trinako: (voice-over) The last straw was an argument we had. Cog knows what for, but I remember him breaking my arm from a judo throw. Thankfully, the guards took him away and he has been in prison ever since. As I write this, the only reason why I was stuck with him was Lin. (cut to Lin, who is surprised to read this passage) Despite how she got conceived, I did my best to be mother of the family and never abondon her. I hope she'll understand my pain someday, that when she's older, I hope she can live a better life with a better man than that awful brute of a father that never cared for either of us! But at least... she has me.

(as Lin reads these words, tears well up in her eye-sockets, and she starts to cry. Unbeknownst to them, Trinako is outside the door, peering in. She sees them reading her diary, and having sympathy and sorrow for her daughter to read her innermost thoughts.)

Viola: (comforts Lin) Lin, it's all right. That mean old dad of your's didn't know what he had!

Lin: (through her tears) But she still suffered daddy's abuse all because of me! Why did I have to force her to live like this?

(continues to cry, but then hears a voice, that of her mother, from the door.)

Trinako: (as the door opens) (concerned) Lin, honey?

Lin: (sees her mom, gasps in shock, and drops the diary on the floor) Mommy!

Trinako: Auntie Trinako, we can explain! You see--

Trinako: There's no need to explain, Princess Viola. I saw you two. I guess you must be bored and decided to read my diary out of sheer curiosity. (to Lin) Right, sweetie?

(Lin, still sad, nods)

Trinako: (comforting) Honey, it's not your fault that mommy stayed with your daddy all this time. You should be at least happy that I stayed and suffered so you wouldn't be alone.

Lin: (sad) But, does daddy hate me?

Trinako: (comforting) Lin, hate is a very strong word. I know your father wanted a boy to take his place once he reaches his limit, but he never realized how beautiful a daughter you'll be. He may have never given you respect, but you'll always know that mommy loves you and will never, ever harm you in any way.

Lin: (brightens up a bit) You do?

(Trinako nods)

Viola: So, is there anything else in this diary, Auntie Trinako?

Trinako: Well, I never usually tell my innermost thoughts, but (pats Lin and Viola on the head) since you two were curious, I'll show you some memories I've treasured.

(just as Trinako goes to pick up her diary, sirens blare out. Trinako, Lin and Viola are unsure of what's happening.)

Trinako: (shocked) What on Cog--?

(before she completes her sentence, a view screen comes into view; it's Lord Vos of the Cluster Royal Regime.)

Vos: Madame Chancellor! This is Lord Vos! Do you read me?

Trinako: (turns her view to the screen) What's going on, Vos?

Vos: Someone has broken into the palace! It appears that several of our guards are down! We believe he might be heading--

(suddenly, from out of nowhere, a laser blasts onto the view screen, destroying it in the process. Trinako turns to see what was the source of the blast and gasps in total shock: the intruder turns out to be Maxis, the former captain of the guard and her ex-husband. Viola and Lin, afraid for their lives, clutch onto Trinako's legs.)

Trinako: (shocked) Maxis! What are doing here?! I thought you were in--!

Maxis: (cuts her off coldly) Prison? I've escaped after I heard the news.

Trinako: News of what?

Maxis: (points an accusatory finger to her) Your affair with the king, Chrom!

Trinako: (shocked) What?! You've heard?! How?!

Lin: (confused) Mommy...

Maxis: While I was rotting in prison, I had a robot on the outside; giving me fresh information on how you and Lin have lived without me. The source told me about your torrid affair with the king, and when I caught wind of it... well, I had to come for a visit.

Trinako: Please, Maxis! Understand that you've hurt me when we were married! Why can't you understand the pain you've put me through?!

Maxis: (mocking) Pain? Ha! I was only keeping you in line like the whore that you are!

Trinako: How many times must I tell you: I'm not like that anymore!

Maxis: Really? (cracks his knuckles w/ his hands) Well, let's see a repeat performance of your little rendevous with the king, which proves how much of a slut-unit you really are!

(before he strikes Trinako, Viola and Lin try to block him off.)

Lin: Daddy! Don't hit mommy! Please!

Viola: Yeah! Stay away from auntie Trinako, you meanie!

Maxis: (grabs them both) Get lost you brats!

(he then tosses them right into a nearby closet. Trinako's mouth drops in total shock that her ex had the nerve to treat his own daughter that way.)

Trinako: How could you?! That was your own daughter you've manhandled!

Maxis: (slaps Trinako very hardly) Silence, whore!

(the force of the slap causes Trinako to fall onto the floor. Before she gets her head together, Maxis immediately gets on top of her.)

Trinako: Get off me this instant!

(not listening to her words, Maxis then grabs Trinako's chassis and rips it off, exposing her foam breasts to him. Trinako screams out in agony as he does so, but her screams are then muffled by his large hand covering her mouth. His mouth-gril then opens, revealing a long tongue and uses it to lick one of her breasts as he gropes the other.)

Trinako: (muffled) Let me go! Let me go, you brute! (Maxis then removes his hand from her mouth) I am Madame Chancellor; I will not allow you to-- (gets interrupted when Maxis slides his tongue into her mouth, muffling out her screams.)

(after several minutes of this torture, he then presses a button beside his crotch area to release his own sperm releasing hatch, which looks a bit bigger than his former superior. Trinako watches on in complete shock and horror and begs Maxis to stop.)

Trinako: (begging) Maxis no! Don't violate me!

Maxis: (sinister) You really think I'll listen to a whore like you?

(he then forcefully shoves in his huge member inside Trinako's vaginal hatch, making her scream out in mixed pain and pleasure; in her case, however, it is mostly pain. He forcefully then thrust himself onto his ex-wife, making her his rape victim. For every thrust of his metallic manhood into her snatch, she lets out a cry for help.)

Trinako: (in utter misery) Maxis! Stop! You're hurting me! AH! It's too big! UHN!! Stop... this... instant...!!!

(as the rape continues, we cut to Viola and Lin, who are still unconscience, inside the closet. Lin slowly reboots and sees her father, but not her mother, doing something, which she doesn't know. Seeing what's going on, she rushes over, bounces on the bed, and lands herself on to Maxis, using her hands to cover his eyes. Her eyes are closed also, since she doesn't want to see what he's doing to her mother.)

Lin: (defensive) Let go of my mommy, you big creep!

Maxis: (tries to shake his daughter off) Get of me this instant, you little brat!

(Lin, however, says "no" over and over as she refuses to release her grip. Trinako cannot help but be shocked as to see her own daughter trying to protect her. As all this is going on, Maxis is then stunned into unconsciousness by an incoming laser beam, which flips a surprised Lin off her father's head and lands on her mom's stomach.)

Trinako: (worried) Lin! Are you all right?

Lin: (blushing, noticing her mother topless) Um, mommy...

(Trinako then notices herself, and, blushing in embarrassment of her own daughter seeing her measurements, covers her area with a nearby blanket. We then see the source of the laser blast, a tall, bulky beetle like robot with hand clamps and designed ala Mazinger. This individual is Baron Mizic of the Royal Regime.)

Mizic: Are you and Lin all right?

Trinako: Yes, Baron. We're fine.

(Viscount Ozer than appears beside him)

Ozer: We've also heard that Princess Viola was here as well?

(before Trinako can answer, a worried Vexus and Chrom rush into the room, just as Viola regains consciousness.)

Vexus: (concerned/afraid) Viola sweetie, are you ok?

Viola: Yeah mommy.

Vexus: What happened?

Chrom: (to Vexus, regarding Maxis) I think I know.

(Vexus then turns and sees Maxis' prone body on the floor. We then dissolve moments later to what appears to be a tribunal in the court room. Once more, it appears that the former captain of the guard is put on trial once more, with Chrom being judge. Vexus and the rest of her family and compatriots watch on.)

Chrom: Maxis, you are once again accused of the attempt to rape and harm our madame chancellor, harming two innocent children and breaking out of prison. I'm sure that the prison kept you locked away for good, but I thought wrong.

Maxis: (angered) Damn right, you were! Not after I what I heard from the outside!

Chrom: Oh, really?

Maxis: Yes; you and Trinako are having an affair! And your own wife, the Queen stood by and allowed it!

(Chrom becomes shocked, as does Vexus and Trinako. However, not as shocked as everyone else.)

Vega: Dad cheated on mom?

Clarence: (glares at Trinako) Over Miss Trinako?

(cut to a surprised Smytus and Krackus)

Smytus: Well, I guess that's why she wouldn't accept either of us.

Krackus: (clueless) What?! That party was fixed?

(cut back to an embarrassed Vexus, with Viola nearby, confused of the situation.)

Viola: Mommy, what did daddy and Auntie Trinako do with each other?

Vexus: Sorry Viola, (she then reveals a button on her wrist) but I'll explain it to you and your brothers another time. For now, however...

(she presses it, putting Viola and the Fire Twins, Volcanus & Vesuvius, in protective bubbles.)

Volcanus: Oh man, not again!

Vesuvius: We're cut out of the adult stuff again!

(both of them cross their arms and pout as we switch back to Chrom and Maxis.)

Chrom: (shocked) How did you find out?

Maxis: Simple, my king! I had a malebot on the outside to update on my ex's activities until he showed me this evidence.

(he then summons a viewscreen which then reveals Chrom and Trinako's liason from the solarhouse in chapter 4. The rest of the royals are absolutely shocked at the footage; Vexus, knowing that her younglings are present, makes the bubble darker for them to block their vision, giving out a faint "Aw man!" from the Fire Twins. Clarence does grin at the sight, but Vega sharply jabs him in the stomach with her elbow.)

Maxis: And I suppose my whore wasn't the only one turned on.

(the video then switches outside to Vexus jilling herself off outside the solarhouse. The sight of this makes Vega feel sick and Vexus embarrassed in a beet red blush.)

Vega: (averts her eyes) Oh, Cog! Mom!

(Trinako, throughout the entire shock and awe, covers Lin's eyes, since she is way too young to view this material. Cut back to Chrom and Maxis.)

Chrom: How did you--?

Maxis: (interrupts Chrom) It doesn't matter! The point is that it proves that my ex-wife, the so-called madame chancellor, is nothing more than a whore; just like most women; especially, from what I saw, your wife, Queen Vexus! (cut to Chrom as his temper boils over) I can see why she came to Cluster Prime to begin with!

Chrom: (angered) ENOUGH!!!! I cannot allow this madness to go on! Especially if you direct your words to my beloved!

Maxis: Oh? Then I suppose we can settle this like gentlebots... (cut to his eyes narrowing for dramatic effect) for the crown!

(everyone gasps at what Maxis just said, especially Vexus and Trinako, meaning that if Chrom lost, Maxis will assume role of king. Chrom looks on, thinks, and clenches his fist.)

Chrom: So be it!

(he then launches his fist to attack Maxis, but he dodges the blow and takes to higher ground with his jet pack as Chrom follows. Everyone watches on as Chrom shoots his laser blasts onto Maxis, who dodges and does the same. Cut to Vexus and the others looking on.)

Vexus: What is he thinking?!

Vega: Surely dad can't be serious in sacrificing the crown to fight Maxis.

Vexus: Well regardless, this is madness!

Trinako: (puts a reassuring hand to Vexus' shoulder) My queen, I think it's best for us not to get involved.

Vexus: Whatever for?

Trinako: Personally, I would love to see Maxis get what he deserves. I'm just afraid he'll be desperate to use either one of us as a sheild.

Vexus: So there's nothing we can do? (Trinako nods) For once, I hope you're right. However, I did remember this being a bad idea to begin with.

(cut back to the fight, where both Chrom and Maxis are giving their all in their battle. Chrom blocks several punches from the more brawnier Maxis, to which he then delivers a kick to the side of Maxis' head. Maxis then flies upward, crashing through the ceiling, with Chrom following him. When Chrom appears on the upper level, Maxis charges towards him and clutches Chrom's neck as they land towards the wall.)

Maxis: You really are a simple-minded fool, my king!

Chrom: (struggles) Let me go... you bastard! You cannot treat your king this way...!

Maxis: (mocking) So, playing the part of the prince that saves the princess as usual? Pathetic! If you really knew how much of a whore both Vexus and Trinako were!

Chrom: (struggles) Don't you ever call them that!

Maxis: Oh? Remember that ambush to your carriage and the kidnapping of both Vexus and Trinako?

Chrom: (surprised) That was months ago?! How did you--?!

Maxis: Know? Pitiful king; I hired those men to kidnap your wife and madame chancellor to make them suffer! But you never knew...

Chrom: (struggles) Stop mocking me!

Maxis: (continues) that both the queen and madame chancellor were raped like the whores they are!

(cut to Chrom's face)

Chrom: (shocked) You did WHAT??!!

Maxis: Despite being disposed of later on, those two whores enjoyed their little fun... which even you, with your chivalrous attitude and weak mainframe, would never satisfy them at all!

Chrom: (angered beyond belief) ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!

(he then shoots a powerful laser blast from his eyes which hit Maxis dead, releasing him from his grip. He then tackles him and they fall through the hole in the ground from before and proceeds to punch Maxis into oblivion on the way down to the court room. They then land in front of shocked onlookers as Chrom continues to beat Maxis into scrap-heap. Soon afterwards, his temper cools down and collapses to his side.)

Vexus: (concerned, rushes to him) Chrom!

Clarence & Vega: (in unison) Dad!

(all three rush out towards the heap that was the battle and they pick up Chrom, who is tired and exhausted from the battle.)

Vexus: (worried) Are you all right, my dear?

Chrom: (weakly) Yes, my love. I'm fine.

(he then turns his attention to the guards looking over Maxis' battered body.)

Chrom: (serious) Maxis, former of Captain of the Guard: for crimes of abuse of power all these years, and the continous abuse of our Madame Chancellor, I sentenced you to be deactivated, effective immediately! (struggles his balance)

Smytus: (places one of Chrom's arms on his shoulder) My liege!

Vos: (does the same with the other arm) Be careful!

Chrom: (to his subordinates) Thank you. Now bring me to my chambers; I need to nurse my wounds...

(with help from Smytus and Vos, Chrom walks away from the court, a worried Vexus following. All Trinako can do know is watch, with mixed feelings, the guards taking Maxis away.)
