Weapon vs. Weapon

In a darken lab, hidden away in the capital city of planet Lexicon, red eyes flashed to life. The robot, knowing why it was awakened and what it had to do, armed itself and stealthily exited the lab and soon would leave the planet.

888

"Do you have to leave?" Calceon complained.

"haha!" the large X weapon laughed out and slapped the smaller X weapon on the back. "Little brother thinks I'll be able to help him stay out of trouble does he? well, as much as I'd like to relive past glory, I'm not assigned to this planet like you are. I've got to get back home before someone misses me," he grinned and disappeared, heading for Decimal in his own ship.

'Maybe it's better this way. I created this problem and I'm the one who has to fix it,' Calceon thought. His wrist device beeped.

"Sensors picking up Lexicon war device," the computer reported.

"What class?"

"Class S."

"S? Did you say S!?"

"Confirmed, the device in question is class S."

"Calisto," he growled. "How long?"

"It's entering the outer solar system now."

"Damn...she's out shopping...I'll just show up like I was just roaming around aimlessly," he thought out loud, got back in his Earth clothes and headed on.

888

"What are you going to do? If titan knows about..." Violet began as the walked down the street.

"It was a bunch of unfortunate circumstances that got me into this in the first place. Calceon has been kicking himself ever since we found out. I've never seen him like that."

"maybe you're softening him up."

"Maybe, but he's having a hard time..." Becky began and stopped, hearing the sound of engines. then, an energy blast made her hit the ground and roll away from her attacker.

"Run!" Becky shouted at Violet who only wasted a second before taking off in a sprint.

"Word up!" Becky shouted and transformed into WordGirl.

The robot swung an axe that it was armed with, trying to take WordGirl's head. The axe's path was stopped though.

"Damn, I'm losing my touch," the X weapon growled, holding the axe by the handle. "Let me guess, you are one of Calisto's back-up plans if she were to be beaten."

"The robot said nothing, instead, its eyes glowed red and twin energy blasts came out, forcing the X weapon to fall back. The machine fired again and Calceon tried to use his reflectors, but he ended up crashing against a wall.

"Damn, even armed with S class weapons," Calceon groaned out in pain.

"How do we stop that thing?" WordGirl asked.

"It's after you. We can get it to follow us out of the city and make sure the fight doesn't hurt any civilians. that thing's armed to take out a city, not a single individual," the X weapon said.

The pair took to the skies and the mechanical menace followed after them.

888

The two landed and were forced to roll away from each other as the Lexiconian weapon fired down upon them.

"How do we beat that thing!?" WordGirl asked.

"The last time I fought a Class S Lexiconian weapon I lucked up and it ran out of power!" Calceon explained as he dodged another weapon.

"seriously!?"

"these weapons were Lexicon's counter to us X weapons! Calisto thought our flesh was weak so she had those things developed!" Calceon answered as the two continued to dodge.

"why didn't your reflectors work!?"

"They can't reflect S Class weaponry. No reflector technology can!"

The two continued to dodge blast after blast, not being able to get close enough to attack.

"We can't keep this up!" WordGirl shouted.

"I'm open for any suggestions!"

"Follow me," WordGirl said and took to the air, the X weapon on her heels. The two started circling the machine faster and faster, the robot spinning in place, trying to hit its intended target,.

"Faster!" WordGirl shouted and the two circled the robot at super sonic speeds. Suddenly, and explosion erupted, driving the pair down into the ground.

"Ugh," WordGirl groaned as she got back to her feet.

"Looks like we spun it into an explosion," Calceon observed, seeing the broken parts of the unit.

"Why?"

"Probably a last ditch effort to kill you if you were able to beat your aunt in combat," he replied. "That's the first time I've beaten an S Class weapon."

"You beat it?" she said, her hands on her hips.

He chucked, "gotcha princess," he said an took off.

"Come back here X weapon!" she shouted and launched off after him.

888

"We retrieved the parts from that robot that attacked the pair...it's beyond what we've got," the VP reported.

"Can the lab boys figure it out?" the CEO asked.

"It'll take some time but they'll be able to reverse engineer it."

"tell them to have something ready just in case our Lexiconian decides to try to get out from under our thumb."

"Of course."

888

"Tobey."

"I knew you'd show up eventually."

"I was the one to get her in this situation, so I'll be damned if I'm not responsible for getting her out of this shit."

"Either you have a strong sense of responsibility or..."

"You want to sneak in and get those blue prints or not?" the X weapon asked.

"Of course," Tobey said.

"Let's go."

888

"You know where the boys are? I've haven't' seem or heard from either one of them in hours." Becky asked Violet over the phone.

"I don't know, but Tobey's been up to something...I don't think he likes Titan building robots."

"You don't think those two are trying something stupid do you?"

"They are guys aren't they?"

Becky sighed. "I wouldn't put it passed Calceon to come up with some crazy plan to do something to titan."

888

"They don't secure their computers systems that well but they secure their building well enough for an X weapon to not be able to get in without being found out," Tobey said.

"We'll just have to find another way," Calceon said. 'Titan, I will free her.'
