Chapter 6

After a quick shower and a change of clothes, I sigh. "We should try and explain to Sam and Tucker."
Dan smirks, and leans down, pushing hair out of my eyes. "You're so sweet, always putting others before yourself."
I smile, and Dan presses a kiss to my forehead. "Where do you want us to meet them?"
"The Nasty Burger."
Dan smiles. "You give them a ring and I'll meet you there."
As I pick up the phone, I sigh. Sam might be a little more understanding than Tucker.
I inspect my nails impatiently as the phone rings. A moment later...
"Danny?"
"Hi Sam. Can...you meet me at the Nasty Burger in fifteen?"
"Is this about the older you?"
"...Sam, please? I want you to at least try to understand this..."
There is a sigh. "We'll meet you there."
I blink. "We?"
"Jazz is at mine too, remember?"
I sigh. "Fine. She'd better stay quiet, though."
"See you later, Danny."
"See you, Sam."
Dialling Tucker's number, I sigh. "Hey Tuck."
"Danny, I got some wierd call from Sam last night, that Jazz is at hers, flipping out over something to do with your future self."
Biting my lip, I close my eyes. "Tucker, I'm dating the future evil me."
"Dude, that's seriously not funny."
"Tuck...I know this seems far fetched, but, he's not all that bad now. Look, meet me in the Nasty Burger in ten."
I hang up, and exhale.
"Danny, is everything ok?"
I look up at Dad, who is holding a puppet of himself. I blink back tears, and Dad makes me lean against him.
"Danny, I'm not exactly sure about this Dan character, but you're my son. Is something wrong?"
I let out a long sigh. "No, I just have to try and tell Sam and Tucker."
"Aw, try not to let them get you down, Danny. As long as you're happy, they should respect that it's your decision. They don't have to sleep with him! Fenton Jerky?"
I try not to laugh as Dad hands me the slice of dried meat. "Thanks, Dad."
"No problem, son. Just, eh, do me a favour. Use protection." Dad wanders back towards the lab, and I smile. At least my parents understand.
