Spoken and Unspoken Understandings
Okay, I'm putting up this new chapter again because it would only show a certain amount of it. >< Hopefully, this time the entire chapter will be up. Each time I check it, it's all there, but only a few lines show up. -_-;;
Sorry for being away for so long, life happens you know? Sorry for any spelling or gramatical errors as well, I have no Beta. This chapter isn't my best work, but it's an update! More to come within the next week or so.
Disclaimer: Not mine, but someday...oh yes, someday!
(EDIT: Okay...so it didn't come within the next week...What can I say? Life happens to me. -_- Since I'm on vacation, I'll finally be able to finish up the next chapter.)

((Flashback: Insert wavy picture and other cool effects here.))
Sam's small hand warmed up the cool doorknob because she was hesitating so long. She had let herself start thinking about what she was doing. That was stupid because then she couldn't just go do it and get it over with or at least started so she couldn't stop. Sam fought with herself, violently. This wasn't her place, but it was her duty. She might not do this right and end up putting an even wider rift between the normal relationship of Danny and Jazz, which was that of any average sister or brother. She might cause them to get closer. A small sound from within the room seemed to break the spell. Sam turned the handle and knocked softly as she opened the door. Her dark eyes widened and she quickly shut the door again.
"I'm so sorry Jazz! If I had known you were dressing, I would have waited to open the door! I just thought you were still asleep and-" Sam ranted speaking faster and faster. Jazz opened the door and waved a slightly embarassed hand to stop her.
"It's okay, it's not like I have anything you don't have yourself or haven't seen." Jazz eyed the way Sam's face flushed nicely. It was a beautiful contrast to her porcelin skin and dark eyes. Sam couldn't get the image of a topless Jazz out of her head. She had only been wearing powder blue panties to make matters worse, and had just tossed her matching bra into her clothes basket. Now Jazz was wearing a long faded t-shirt that fell to her knees. It worked well enough for now.
"Er, I guess not. Um...we really, really have to talk." Hopefully Sam would be able to gather her thoughts. Though, with the gravity of what she was about to confess to Jazz began to weigh against her embarassment anyway. She felt more herself. Man she was getting tired of all this change and explanations. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? So...is she stronger yet?
"Oh, uh sure, come on in then. This is about Danny isn't it?" Jazz said her voice getting soft and her blue eyes lowered to the ground. She stepped to the side and pulled open the door. She shut it softly after Sam came in, sound carried down the halls pretty well and she didn't feel like letting Danny listen in on their conversation. Little did she know Danny was asleep and that there were two extra people in the house.
Sam realized that she hadn't had a chance to bring Jazz up to date about why Danny was in the condition he was at the moment. Oh fucking hell. She had a LOT of explaining to do. They got comfortable on Jazz's bed and Sam started to talk. Sam started from the first day she found out about Danny's secret. But soon, Jazz interrupted her.
"I know."
"...Huh?" Sam blinked, not sure exactly what Jazz meant by that. It could mean that she knew a number of things about the situation.
"I know Danny's different. Probably because he spent too much time downstairs in the basement around Mom and Dad's crazy experiments. I figure he'll tell me when he's ready." Jazz said smiling softly and looked out her window at nothing in particular. Sam sighed loudly. At least she didn't have to go through much of that explanation. She told Jazz how it happened, what roles Tucker and she played, what Danny did with his powers, and her speculations as to why Danny was keeping the secret.
"But this isn't the only thing I came here to talk to you about." Sam said, her entire face fell. This was getting hard reliving this and relating this. In addition to explaining everything to everyone, she tourtured herself about this situation over and over again in her mind. Had she done anything wrong? Should she have pushed Danny to tell his family? And a million other things. "What happened to Danny today, happened because of his abilities, and because well...I don't honestly know. I'm pretty sure Danny's gay even though he has things for a few girls, he's really into guys. I don't know when he'll admit this to himself or anyone else. Danny's one of those guys who gets a lot of looks, but doesn't realize it. Let's face it, he's got a good figure, blue eyes, and black hair. What's not to like? If he were more confident in himself and his sexuality then he'd probably be on his third relationship by now."
That took some getting used to for Jazz. Danny was gay? Hold the freaking phone, he didn't act gay. Sam gave Jazz a sarcastic look for the first time ever. Jazz almost wilted under it. "You don't have to be flaming to be gay. You can be macho, overly macho, average, slightly flaming, or flaming. It all depends on your personality. You of all people should realize this. Afterall you read all those psyche books of today's youth and whatnot. But maybe you lack a little field experience." Sam took a break from the explanation since Jazz was having a hard time coming to grips with the probability of her brother's sexual orientation. Why she was having such a hard time, was a secret. She wasn't homophobic, far from it. Jazz just needed to really get used to the idea.
"So, what's wrong with him now? Did you get to talk to him?" The older teen asked in a quiet voice. Sam took another deep breath and related all that had happened while she was with Danny earlier. Jazz had a fit. To say the least. First she was shocked, then she was furious, then she started to cry. Sam started to cry too, despite her best effort to keep her repuation as the supposed emotionless one. For a long moment they held hands and cried silently. Their thumbs started to caress the other's hand in comfort and support...but silently they pulled their hands apart and gathered themselves. It was a little too much contact. Sam then let Jazz in on the game plan and what had happened while she was asleep.
"And that's all that's happened." Sam said softly fidgeting with her skirt hem. Jazz looked over at Sam, she was obviously worn out. Jazz reached across and pulled Sam close in a warm hug. They both felt it was too much contact, but were too happy to pull away just yet.
"You need to go home, pop in some sleeping pills, and get some rest. This is going to be the week from hell for all of us. I really need to think about if/how I should let my parents in on this. Or if I should talk to Danny about this and get him to tell them too. But that's for me to decide, not you so you guys go home and relax. I'll call you if anything happens, but for sure on Sunday night. Even Dash...Just to check in and let you know if there's any change in Danny." Jazz said starting to sound like herself again. Very organized and in control. Logical. Sam felt herself relax and feel a lot more secure about their situation. Jazz shivered faintly when she heard a sweet sigh escape Sam.
Too much contact. Both girls let go at the same time. A quiet understanding formed between them.
"Well, I guess we'd better meet up with the guys downstairs and see if they haven't come up with the sick day assignments." Sam said changing subjects. "We've probably got the week covered so you don't have to miss any school. Besides, that way you can pick up all of Danny's assignments for sure."
"In this case, I wouldn't mind completeing them for him either. I doubt he's in any condition to do school work and catching up will be a bitch." Jazz said with a wry smile. Sam laughed, she'd never heard Jazz curse before.

((Some brief satire since we're doing flashbacks. ^-^))
Tucker's parents reaction to Tucker's call earlier that evening:
"What? What do you mean staying over at Danny's tonight? Mr, you're grounded, get you narrow little behind back-...hello? Hello!..."
"What's going on honey?"
"Our grounded son just hung up on me after rambling about staying over at his friend Fenton's house."
"So...we have the house to ourselves?"
"Looks like it.<3"
"Honey just because we're married doesn't mean you can get fresh like that! You gotta work for it.<3"
"C'mere my black vixen!"
