The assistant district attorney gave his boss a gravely concerned look as Sally Botsford came into her office. Sally bit her lip, what was wrong?
"The Big City Times just contacted us. One of their photo journalists took these," he began and gave Sally print out. Sally's eyes widen in horror.
"As you can see, this isn't good. You know if we don't press charges, the citizens will not there will be a backlash,."
"But the one that the X weapon was..." Sally began but her underling interrupted her.
"He tried to murder her. That doesn't look good. We've got to move forward with this. And if you don't, then I will."
Sally sighed, "This office isn't above the law. I'll get the warrant." 'How am I going to be able to face my daughter after this?'

"Nocan!" Nocan shouted as he attacked the X weapon and WordGirl. The Contrarian had been told to go cause some destruction, but in Nocan fashion, he promised to do a lot of damage to the city. Quickly, cops surrounded the three. WordGirl smiled, but quickly frowned, seeing guns, very large guns, being drawn.
"X weapon!" the head of the SWAT team said through a bull horn, "You are under arrest for the attempted murder of Leslie. Get on the ground and put your hands behind your head."
"What?" WordGirl asked.
"Nocan!" Nocan shouted and ran off.
"Do not try to interfere with this, WordGirl, we've got the warrant," the officer continued. Calceon gave one final apologetic look to WordGirl and took off. Immediately, a storm of bullets tried to hit the X weapon, but he gotten so high that no one on the ground could hit him.
However, helicopters picked up the chase, but even they couldn't keep up with the X weapon. Eventually, they lost sight of him. They didn't noticed that a transporter beam had beamed him away from their pursuing of him.

"Caelum, I have to leave," Calceon said over the com-link. "You don't have to follow..."
"Do you think we're going to let you go alone when Calisto is trying to hunt you down? Caelum replied and Calceon smiled to himself. It was good to have someone that was almost like a brother to him in this situation.

She crossed her arms and glared at her mother. Sally Botsford sighed and prepared herself for the hardest fight she would ever have. However, before words were exchanged, Tim Botsford silently handed Becky the front and she saw the same picture that Sally had been given of the X weapon holding Leslie, ready to snap her neck, with Mr. Big and the other villains looking on in horror and shock.
"I'm going to run them all out of Preposterocity!" Becky shouted. "Why didn't you warn me that you were going to do this? I could have..."
"No, you, as WordGirl, couldn't do a thing," Sally said sadly.
"Ooooh! How could one of their reporters have gotten this!" Becky screamed and stormed off to her room, Huggy right on her heals.

"Yeeeessss!" Dr. Two-Brains celebrated.
"The city is one step closer to being ours!" Mr. Big shouted.
"Cool it!" Granny May shouted.
"Yes. We are going to have an angry WordGirl problem and sucking her up into a lexinite prison won't be as simple as you might think," Isabella informed them.
"She's right," Two-Brains sighed, "once she finds out how the newspaper got that picture she'll be furious and come after us preemptively," he finished.
"And that is what we must prepare for next," Isabella said and the rest of the villains nodded.

"I know you're upset right now, but you know that he wouldn't been any good for you. He was ready to kill just to free WordGirl," Scoops said to an angrily packing Becky at her locker the next morning.
"Keep your opinion in your opinion pieces, Scoops," Becky growled.
"Ok, so I didn't notice your crush on me, but c'mon, do you really think that X weapon was any good for you?"
"For now on Scoops, stay out of my life!" Becky shouted and stormed off.
"I'd do what she says, you small reporter, or she'll kick your tail in," Tobey commented.
"She'll get over it," Scoops said with a sheepish grin.
"Just leave her alone Scoops," Violet suggested firmly and walked away with Tobey in tow.

"Why did we land on the surface in stealth mode?" Emma asked.
"We don't know if there is someone that would sell us out to Calisto," Caelum growled. Calceon sighed as they set up camp near the shore of an ocean. Caelum could see the pained expression on Calceon's face.
"This is why you don't get involved with a target, or a former target," Calceon uttered.
"Hey, she knew that you were a soldier and not some sort of a super hero like she is. You can't be something that you are not," Caelum said.
"Caelum is correct. you can't be something that goes against your nature," Emma added.
"My nature," Calceon spat, "I had not choice in my nature."
"Would you have wanted to be raised on that back water world and prance around in a costume like that Lexiconian does?" Caelum retorted.
"I don't know, but being forced away from her...damn it! I got fucking attached!" Calceon shouted.
"Why do you think you X weapons aren't paired with females? You are programmed to be loyal to females...single females...if you go rouge," Caelum let out.
"I know that, but still, this hurts and this pain is something that I don't want to feel," Calceon said.
"Caelum," Emma whispered, "the sensors are picking up Lexiconian ships heading this way. It might be best for us to stay in our ships so they don't pick up our life forces."
"Hey, better get back into our ships, Lexicon is heading this way and I don't think we want to be caught out here when they reach us," Caelum said and Calceon followed Emma and Caelum into Caelum's ship.

"Sensors aren't detecting any Decimalian life forms, but we are picking up the trail of two Decimalian ships," the tactical officer reported.
"They must be in stealth mode on the surface. Scan for any distortions on the surface, once then, start firing upon them," Calisto ordered. 'X weapon, you will be mine soon enough, and once I have you, you will kill my niece,' she mused with a vicious grin.
