Becky lays on her bed looking up at her ceiling. She had been tutored by Tim for about a week now and she was getting too use to him. He wasn't as bad as Tobey, but the flirting either annoyed her or flustered her. To top it all off, TJ was teasing her about Tim being her boyfriend. Her father got into that as well approving Tim showing up for dinner anytime he wanted to eat with them. Her mother wasn't as excited, but she too also took pot shots whenever Sally Botsford felt her daughter needed one.
'I like Scoops, right? Of course I do, but why does he ignore me? To make things worse, he's so obsessed about finding out I'm WordGirl...,oh what do I do!?" she laments in her mind. 'I need to get sleep. I've got that math test tomorrow and I'm not going to fail.'

Tim leans against his locker waiting. He knew that if she didn't pass, then he wouldn't pass. He then hears her quick footsteps approaching.
"I did it! A 'B'! That my first 'B' ever in math!" she celebrates.
"Told you that numbers are tools." Tim says smiling.
"Unfortunately he wants you to continue to tutor me."
"Oh," Tim begins and comes closer, "and why is that?"
"I'm interested in Scoops."
"Ah, but I'm interested." he says putting an arm around her.
"Violet!" Becky says running over to her friend to share her good news.

'This one seems to be smarter than the other villains. Although, having the name 'Dr. Two Brains' doesn't strike fear into one's heart.' the X weapon thinks. Two Brains was using his mecha-mouse suit to fight WordGirl while his henchman cleaned out the cheese from the store.

"Granny Mae, you there?" Two Brains says over a private link.
"I'm hear ya doc,"
"The X weapon is watching our battle, you want to...,see if he can swim?"
"I'm on it." Granny Mae states.
"Hey you giving up?" WordGirl asks.
"No, but I'm not just here for cheese...hahaha!" Two Brains laughs and the sound of Granny's suit's rockets was picked by WordGirl's ears. She sees someone was wrapped up in the elderly criminal's yarn and she was heading for the ocean.
"Oh no, if she drops...,"
"Go on, this cheese heist was a distraction anyway!" Two Brains laughs and launches as well into the sky.
"Word up!" she shouts and with Huggy she takes off after Granny Mae. She chases Granny Mae until she drops her cargo into the ocean. Taking a deep breath, WordGirl and Huggy dive under the water. The current was carrying the body out to sea, but not even the strength of the Atlantic Ocean could match WordGirl. She grabs the wet cocoon of yarn and hosts it and herself out of the water and onto the shore. Huggy and WordGirl unravel the yarn to reveal...,"
"Him?" WordGirl says in shock. She quickly sees that his face was blue from lack of oxygen and his pulse was slow. She quickly begins to administers CPR. "C'mon!" she shouts and finally he begins coughing out the salt water. He hacks and chokes for several minutes until he sits up and takes in large gulps of air.
"Thought...,that...,I'd...,never see...,the day...,when a Lexicon...,saved a Decimalian." the X weapon states.
'And just what were you doing anyway?"
"Observing you."
"Observing me?"
"I jumped into the fire without analyzing your abilities. I wasn't going to fight you blind again. How did that happen? I've never been jumped like that."
"Maybe you're losing it." she teases.
"You're right."
"Huh?" she says shocked that he would agree with that.
"No Lexiconian should be able to match me, but you did. I've gone over it again and again, but I have found no mistakes in my fight with you. No X weapon or normal Decimalian can beat you. Do you know a 'Becky Botsford'?"
"Yeah?" she says not sure where this was going.
"I'm leaving at the end of the week. I'm just wasting my planet's resources by staying here. Tell her I'm sorry and...," he says and kisses her passionately. He pulls back and flies off. She stands there not knowing what to do. But then it hits her, Tim was the X weapon. Unfortunately, she hadn't heard the camera click when he had kissed her.

Scoops smiles to himself seeing the article with the picture of WordGirl and that strange being kissing her. It was the best article he'd done in his short career.
"Scoops!" Becky calls out.
"Oh, hey Becky. Did you see...,"
'Yes I did and I want to know why you printed that?"
"Hey, people aren't interested about politics, they want to know the latest gossip about their favorite celebrity. WordGirl is the biggest celebrity here and people would like to know why she's kissing someone that she had fought several weeks ago?"
"What if she wasn't expecting the kiss?"
"Can't you see that she's enjoying herself?" Scoops asks and Becky blushes in embarrassment and frustration.
"She isn't enjoying herself."
"Don't be so indignant, Becky. Besides, how would you know?"
"Well...,I...,"
"See, you don't know." Scoops says smiling and walks off.
"Oooo!" Becky cries in frustration. She needed to find Tim and have it out with him.

Scoops walks down the sidewalk humming happily to himself. He had been proud of the piece he had done. He then feels someone grab him by the back of the collar and lift him into the air.
"You're going to get an exclusive, Scoops." the X weapon says and lands on top of a building dropping Scoops back onto his feet.
"Uh, what...,"
"Listen you, I saw that piece and all that was a gossip column. Now, you're going to write something with a little more substance." the X weapon growls.

'Well, I cleaned up that mess I made. Now with what I told Scoops that should stop the rumors.' Tim thinks now outside of the school. He had avoided Becky all day and had exited the school through a lesser entrance. He looks at the watch which was more than a watch. He knew once he hit the re-call button, the computer would erase all records of him ever being in Fair City. He knew the members of the Warrior Caste that were on the Council of Nine would be furious, but he would explain that she wasn't your run of the mill Lexiconian.
"Tim!"
'Who'd know I was here?' he thinks and then feels someone hug him.
"I thought I'd not be able to catch you before you left."
"Becky, I guess WordGirl got the message to you."
"I read that article...,"
"I figured you'd figure out I'm not human...,"
"Why?"
"I don't leave messes behind. So, I cleaned it up. I'm not about to stay knowing I can't...," he says but she kisses him. 'She's...,Wordgirl.'
"Don't go."
"I thought you wanted to be with Scoops?"
"He's so obsessed with finding out who I am that if he found out he was dating WordGirl...,"
"Don't expect me to become some crime fighting partner of yours...,I don't have your control." he says and she pokes him in the ribs.
"I wasn't expecting it."
"Good."
"This might be treason on your part."
"Then I'll renounce my Decimalian citizenship and stay on Earth, that is if you can put up with being with a Decimalian."
"I think I can handle you better than Scoops." she says smirking and he returns the smile.
