Chapter 5 --- Epilogue

It was dead quiet in the cruiser and the cabin lights were out. Everyone was totally zonked out. Will lay on her side, with Bloom snuggled up behind her, and Sky had his arm around both of them, his hand lightly resting on Will’s tit. Will opened her eyes to see June looking at her, being held by Stella and Brandon in a similar fashion. June grinned at Will. “I think we’re the only ones still alive,” she whispered.

Will whispered back. “Looks that way.”

“Man, it was a hell of a time. Did all this really happen since noon?”

“I guess so. We packed a month’s worth of fucking into a few hours.”

“I’m really sorry it’s over.”

“We’ll be here all week,” Will pointed out.

“Yeah, but I can’t fuck the whole time. I have to at least go to some of the sessions at the symposium. Ah-mah will kill me if I go home without learning anything.”

Will suppressed a giggle. “I think we learned a lot.”

“I meant about magic, not fucking. Besides, even if I blow off all the sessions, it’s still just a week.”

“Well, there’s always next year.”
