Guardians of the Multiverse

Ben woke with a start to his alarm going off. He quickly shut it off wondering why he was asleep when it was only eleven then remembered he'd taken a nap before going to the Moon Academy. He got up and got dressed then picked up Ship and headed downstairs. Sandra kissed his cheek and surprised him by saying that they were both coming with them so they took Ben's car to the Garage where they would meet the shuttle. Ben had driven and gotten a skill for it. They met with Gwen and her parents and Ben changed into the Academy uniform of a black tanktop and black shorts. He then gravitated right over to Kevin who he looked over and blushed deeply. 

Kevin wasn't happy that his mother was coming with and that his dad was standing there. His mood improved when he saw Ben. His eyes raked over Ben and was glad when Ben did the same to him and apparently liked what he saw. 

They all got on the shuttle and saw they weren't the only ones from Earth to go. Ben sat between Gwen and Kevin with Ship in his lap. 

"How can this shuttle get to the moon so fast?" Frank wondered. 

"You want a crash course in Plumber Engines?" Gwen asked. "Kevin." 

Kevin took a breath and began explaining in words everyone on the shuttle could understand. Ben leaned into him a little and listened. By the time they got to the Moon Academy everyone was begging Kevin to stop his explanation. 

Devin flashed his son a fond smile as they got off the ship and sighed when his son just brushed past him. 

"He'll come around." his wife assured him. 

"Of course he will." Devin nodded but he didn't believe it for a second and she knew it. "Now we'll see where the kids will be bunking and where you will all be bunking." 

The walk to the dorms showed that the Academy was still being worked on. They arrived to a large group of aliens getting their sleeping assignments. 

"We're a bed short." the alien handing assignments out informed Max and Devin. "We have to double someone up. Tennysons and Levin Bunk Roon 4."

They entered the room to see the that the beds were built in to the walls and four high. Ben followed Kevin into his bed with Ship. 

"That will work." the Alien said with a nod. 

"I don't think so." Gwen grabbed Ben and pulled him over to her bed. "We're cousins so this is fine but you are not sleeping with Kevin." 

"Party pooper." Kevin groused. 

Ben climbed in against the wall with Ship and Gwen slid in next to him. 

"We haven't done this since we were 8 you'd better have out grown your kicking." Gwen teased. 

Ben shrugged at her. 

It didn't take long for all three of them to be asleep. 

Ben bolted out of bed following Gwen when a loud trumpet woke them. They quickly made the bed and stood in front of their bunk in attention with Ship at their feet. They saw there was a group of Plumbers entering their room with their parents. 

"All of Bunk 4 is cleared as well." The Plumber in charge of the File tablet said making notes. "Fall in for breakfast!" 

They all lined up. 

Ben wondered why it felt like he'd done this before he smiled at Ship who was taking this very seiriously as well and marching between him and Gwen. They were taken to the mess hall and joined the line to get food. 

"Wow, I didn't realize that their were this meany aliens wanting to become Aliens." Gwen said. "Er.....what is this?" 

"Your file says Anodite you get Anodite food." The kitchen person said. "Move on. How do you want your eggs?" 

"Er......" 

"He likes scrambled, burn the bacon, undercook the sausage." Kevin stated for Ben. The Kitchen person did as told and sent Ben on his way. "Move on." Ben picked up Ship and held him out. "Ah," he was given a tray for Ship and then moved on. "Osmosion. Here you go." 

They joined Gwen at the table and their parents soon joined them as well. Gwen was frowning at her food. 

"Okay, time for each of us to taste test the alien food the others are eating." Ben declared when it became clear that Gwen was thinking of not eating. 

They all found something they liked out of Gwen, Kevin and Ships food. They ended up passing the food around to those who liked what the others didn't and then ate. 

"Good idea, Ben." Max laughed. "That's one way to get Gwen to eat Alien food." 

"Yeah, yeah." Gwen groused. "Ben, share the pancakes." 

Ben did as ordered.

They then checked what their first class of the day was. 

"Oh, good it's running on the track." Gwen said, when they arrived. "Kevin, lets set you up learning Spanish as well." she set him on his phone. "Okay, lets go." 

The three practiced Spanish and French as they ran. Ship just happily ran. Sandra and Carl were shocked by Ben's method. 

"That's Gwen's influence." Frank informed, "She does four miles every morning. She was looking forward to Ben joining her this morning. She said he and Ship made it all four miles without getting tired. She was very pleased."

When class was over Gwen, Ben, Kevin and Ship had run four laps the most of their entire class. The File Alien made notes and everyone was dismissed to their next class. 

"I want grapefruit." Kevin groused tucking his earbuds away in his inventory with his phone. 

"Yeah, this method has that effect." Gwen sighed, "You start to want the fruit and veggies your learning to say.  Next up....." 

Kevin was grinning when they entered Ship Shop 101. Gwen looked defeated and Ben just looked around in interest.
