Kiss Me, It's Beginning to Snow

Unobtrusively, they left the party. Lex let Amp take his hand and lead him towards a hallway. Amp paused at a desk and opened a drawer. "Not all of the rooms here are wired up for electricity." he told Lex. "Might be a good idea to bring some matches." He smiled at Lex before taking his hand again and leading him down the hall.

As Staghart lit a few candles, Lex could see more of the room. It was small, the walls made of stone. The only sign that the room had been modernized was the glass pane on the stone edged window. The only furniture was a nightstand and a large but low bed, dressed with white sheets and a few maroon pillows. Lex suddenly had a good idea why Amp brought him here. He suddenly felt very weak kneed. He leaned against the door frame to keep steady.

Amp reached behind Lex and closed the door. To his relief, he didn't hear it lock. He could leave if he wanted to. Amp draped his arms around Lex. "You're shaking." he observed. "Want me to warm you up?" Lex then decided he didn't want to leave after all.

Lex snuggled closer to Amp and hugged him. "Amp? Ayala told me you...."

"Sh...." Amp gently put his talons on Lex's lips. The contact made Lex shiver in pleasure. "If you don't mind, Ayala is the last person I want to think of just now." He held Lex even closer and nuzzled his cheek and neck.

Warning bells were going off in Lex's head. /Stop it! You can't do this!/ a reasonable voice yelled. /You know this can't be permanent! You're asking for heart break! You'll be sorry!/ Lex told the voice to go to Hell. He wrapped his arms around Amp and held on as tight as he could. He could feel the larger gargoyle's heartbeat. "Yeah. I can do that." Lex whispered, nuzzling Amp's neck. "And I want this. I'm finding it hard to believe that it's happening, that you want this as much as I do. It's just, I know it's going to hurt both of us when I go back to Manhattan."

"Then let's make this night last." Amp said, caressing Lex's brow ridge. He let go of Lex just long enough to take off his gauntlets and lay them on the nightstand. He undid the snap behind his back that kept the blue and gold unitard on. Lex gulped as his mouth went dry and sat on the bed. Hesitantly, he reached a hand out to touch Amp's bare chest. The fur was so soft. Amp caressed the hand, encouraging Lex's touch. They knelt on the bed, facing each other. Lex ran his talons through the soft, white fur, delighting in the way Amp arched his back and growled as talons traced over his skin. Amp let his own talons trail over Lex's back and the tender membranes of his wings. Lex moaned and embraced Amp, feeling the fur against his skin, inflaming his whole being with desire.

He looked up to see blue eyes gazing lovingly at him. Lex was just about to reach up and touch his face when there was a knock at the door. "Stay quiet." Amp whispered. "Maybe they'll go away." Still, the knock persisted.

"Lexington?" Coco cracked open the door. "You in there?"

"A little privacy if you please?" Amp said, pulling a sheet over himself as Lex grabbed a pillow to cover up with.

"Posh, Staghart!" replied Coco. "I've seen your tadger when we was hatchlings!"

"Well, trust me, a lot has changed since then." Amp replied.

"Anyways," said Coco. "Lex, you've got a call from your mates in New York. Considering it's a video call, I suggest you put some clothes on."
