The Game
Punishment
”You were ordered to bring the medic!”
Skywarp laid in a heap on the floor at his brother’s feet, groaning as pain began to course through his fragile being. The older seeker merely watched on, appearing indifferent to his trinemate’s punishment. “Idiot!” came the shrilling voice of their leader, causing him to flinch slightly. He soon felt Skywarp’s hand around his ankle as he attempted to pull himself from the floor, spitting out bloodied saliva as he did so. “Thundercracker, take him to the repair-bay. I’ll deal with Skyfire.” The seeker nodded and reached down to lift his brother from his pool of shame, and carried him out of the room without a single word.
“He’s far too rash to be a competent solider—“
“Shut up!”
The science officer smiled at the air commander. “Let your anger out on me, Starscream. I was there countless times before…” Starscream leaned against the wall opposite of his captive and closed his eyes, concealing the intimidating gaze of crimson. Before the war, before all of this, he and Skyfire had been close—too close. He would seek out the other flier in hopes of sharing his troubles, safe in the knowledge that what happened between them, stayed between them; the comfort he provided was unmatched by others—other Decepticons, his own faction, could do no better than to provide a good torture session.
“Megatron’s going to kill me…”
A lengthy silence enveloped the room as the two apparently mulled over the possibility of being mutilated. Skyfire, however, made use of his small dagger and proceeded to cut the rope that bound him to the chair. With Starscream’s mind elsewhere, he failed to notice his prisoner approach with long, quiet strides. “Defect,” he whispered, stepping closer. The dark-haired man finally opened his eyes to stare up at the taller aircraft pilot. No other words needed to be said. Starscream allowed the Autobot to leave unscathed, while he took the time to come up with another plan.
