Random bit of plot

Nuuu Rin Flowers! *huggles* I will e-mail you or something! I promise, I'm not ignoring you! (is it still too late to apologize?) ...... I actually only wrote this chapter so I could say that, being too lazy to edit my other chapter.

There was nothing more either of them wanted to do. They say great minds must think alike, and Zim grudgingly supposed it had to be true. Both he and Dib didn’t move for the longest time, enjoying the time in each other’s arms. No words were passed, but they both enjoyed the easy silence.

It could have been minutes, hours, days, years, but finally Dib spoke. “I hate you.” He murmured softly against Zim’s antennae.

Zim blinked, wondering if he had heard him right. A quick glance and Dib’s smug smirk indicated that the human was teasing him. A small pout appeared on his lips before he could stop it and he reached up to tug lightly on the gravity-defying piece of Dib’s hair. “I hate you too.”

Zim watched in satisfaction as Dib laughed, a low, husky sound that made Zim want to join in. It was pretty silly. Where they were, what they were doing, WHO they were, everything.

Suddenly hell exploded.

… or at least, that’s what it sounded like. In a flash, both Zim and Dib had jumped up and were scrambling to the door. Dib got to it first and he flung it open, ducking just as a metal object flew past his head.

“I’M EATING COOKIE DOUGH!” Zim looked at Gir in surprise. He had nearly forgotten about the strange little robot. Then he remembered that Dib had sent him to the toxic waste site. Gir’s body was covered in a light-green sheet of …. Something.

“Gir, go take a bath, your filthy!” Zim commanded, and Gir bounced out, heading the opposite direction from the bathroom. Zim turned back to the front door and his antennae twitched in confusion. Dib was standing as still as a statue, his eyes locked on something outside. Zim came closer so he could look too.

He felt his jaw hit the floor.

Outside was a refrigerator-sized package marked ‘Earth’ in chicken scratch Irken. It had obviously fallen, or been launched from somewhere out of the atmosphere, seeing as it was buried into the ground, clots of dirt and mud laying everywhere. It must have landed, creating the loud sound. Zim recognized the hand writing on it as prisoner 777’s and he quickly ducked back into his base.

He was out in a flash with what looked like a small bright-orange laser pointer, and it was pointed at the strange bit of alien technology. Pressing the only button the device had, Zim raised it. The technology rose too. Backing up slowly, Zim leveled it into his house, while Dib went outside to give a rational story to the neighbors.
