Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Vinnie Gregarino was unusually happy. As he walked through NYC's Central Park he contemplated his coming move to Japan. Where the only freaks and weirdoes he would have to deal with would be humans ones.

Yes life was certainly looking up.

Then he came to an abrupt stop.

There was a beautiful, voluptuous green skinned woman standing in front of him wearing a soaked white garment that seemed virtually transparent.

She smiled at him and opened a mouth full of fangs. Then a series of unearthly sounds erupted from her mouth.

"But I was only saying hello" Zulu complained as the human fled.

"Face it sis…nobody here speaks Basic" Vega said from behind her.

The twins were having a bad day. They had escaped the ship by leaving in the escape pod. But the pod was not designed to work in water. So once it had floated to the surface they had to swim to shore.

Fortunately like all Falleen Vega and Zulu could hold their breath and stay submerged for a long time. And since it was a warm summer day they didn't have to worry about freezing to death.

Nevertheless the two con artists were far from happy.

Zulu's priceless shimmersilk dress was RUINED and Vega's gray military surplus Imperial uniform wasn't looking too good either. Moreover nobody seemed to understand them. They tried talking to people in Basic, Huttese, and every other language they knew. But the best response they ever got were looks of polite incomprehension.

And the people were ALL apparently human.

The siblings hadn't seen any other species at all in this city.

Vega suggested that this city might be some sort of human ghetto, and theorized that humans made up the underclass in this world. The idea appeared to have merit to Zulu, after all look at the primitive vehicles they used.

The natives weren't that friendly either. They usually did their best to ignore the two Falleen, or ran off screaming like that one man had done.

Vega was glad that he had brought his Blaster with him. The people here seemed nuts.

But after a few hours of wandering the city on foot Zulu finally found something to amuse herself and lift her out of her depression.

Elisa Maza was walking through Central Park. It was her night off and she had asked Goliath to meet her here at sundown. Which should be only a few minutes away.

Then she saw a couple wearing green body paint. The man appeared to be wearing some sort of military uniform and the woman was wearing a dress that left her shapely buttocks, ample bosom, and even her womanhood completely exposed.

The detective walked over to them, to remind the woman of public decency laws and to see if they were drunk.

But as Maza approached them and got a better look at the couple she began to wonder "are those just costumes."

The dark haired human clearly wanted something. She spoke authoritatively in her strange language and kept gesturing to Zulu.

Then she took out a shiny piece of golden metal (with some sort of strange symbol on it) and began showing it to them.

"Maybe she wants to trade us that shiny metal thing" Vega guessed aloud.

Zulu studied the dusky skinned human woman. There was something compelling about the way she moved, her obvious self-confidence and manner of authority. The fact that she was quite pretty didn't hurt either.

"I want her" she informed Vega.

"Oh no not again" the male Falleen thought.
