The Green Eyed Monster
Chapter 3
Darcy kept her agreement and allowed Stormy her space, but she was starting to despair about the impact this was having on Icy. The witch was barely ever around the ‘happy couple’. She came to the dorm late at night and left early in the morning, leaving a biting cold behind.
She was sure she had managed to push the ice queen away, but she never intended to push this far…
On the other hand, she and Stormy were getting along fine now. And since the attention of the student body switched to new and more interesting manners, they became old news. With lesser attention, Stormy even allowed a little public display here and there, but only a little.
---
"Oh, shit," Stormy cursed while she looked at the big clock in the cafeteria. "Griffin’s gonna have my ass if I’m late again."
"And such a fine ass it is," Darcy grinned at the girl before her.
"Now, how would you know?" Stormy asked, while she quickly and clumsily grabbed her books.
"I’ve been watching you, secretly," Darcy replied, while she sensually put a spoon of yogurt in her mouth.
Stormy glared at her while she stood up. "We’ll discuss this during lunch." With that she stood and left.
Darcy gave her a few seconds before she turned and called after her lover. "Hey Stormy, catch!" She blew a kiss and Stormy ‘caught’ it gracefully before turning once more.
Darcy returned her attention to her yogurt again, smirking to herself. "That girl is a fast study."
---
Finally lunch time, Stormy thought stretching out. And a full morning of classes without trouble, that’s a record as well. Just wait ‘til Darcy hears.
Stormy was eager to have some food… and even more so to see Darcy, only she didn’t realise the latter yet…
"Hey, Stormy!" A familiar voice stopped her in her tracks. She turned to see Smokey, surprisingly without her gang. "What’s the rush?" Stormy sighed, not wanting trouble this time. It was lunch. "What do you want Smokey"
The brown-haired girl walked closer and wrapped her arm around Stormy’s shoulder, pulling her close. "I just wanted to say that I miss you." Stormy looked at her in disbelief.
"Ever since you started fucking that enchantress, you aren’t around to play with me anymore," Smokey said pouting.
Stormy roughly pushed the girl away, her anger starting to boil. "Watch it, Smokey!" she snapped.
Smokey’s attention turned to something else for a second, a teacher approaching. "I just wanted to say, be careful with her… Who knows where she has been… Or what diseases she caries…"
Stormy raised her fist to punch the older girl’s eye but before she could land her stroke, Smokey had turned and left.
Stormy fumed while she headed toward the cafeteria. How dare she say that?! She’d better be watching her back when she’s roaming the tower on her own, because getting trapped in a vicious thunder storm can be very dangerous…
When our favourite witch finally reached the cafeteria, she strained herself to look over students' heads, to see if she could find her lover. When she spotted a familiar brunette, she moved in and noticed another girl, also very familiar to her. Who could forget the blonde with two bright red stripes in her hair.
The blond seemed to be having quite some fun with her brunette. They stood laughing together, unaware of her standing so close. Eventually the blonde displayed her intentions to leave and Darcy playfully patted her behind while she placed a big kiss on the girl's cheek.
A pang hit Stormy in the stomach. She didn’t really understand why. She also didn’t understand why Darcy was fooling with that Blazer girl while she was supposed to be with her.
Stormy stood frozen in place. All day she had wanted to go to Darcy, but now the moment had come she wasn’t able to move her foot. She stood panting, not knowing what was coming over her.
A passing student who nudged her in the ribs to get past made her snap back to reality. The chatter of students and the clattering of plates made her ears ring and her head throb.
She rubbed her temples and turned to leave, not watching her step. "Hey Stormy," Jenny gasped, almost being run over by the storm witch. "Lunch is that way," she added, pointing her thumb towards the line that was forming to get their food.
"I’m not hungry," Stormy snapped.
Jenny put her hands up in defence and let the hot-tempered witch leave. With one last glance over her shoulder, Stormy stomped of in a random direction, not realising that she was being followed by a white-haired figure, leaving the Enchantress waiting and wondering…
