It was around dusk when Sokka brought Katara's dinner, she took it with a nod pretending she had lost her voice. Not really her eyes where glazed over with thoughts. Or perhaps it was because she had recently awoke from her slumber. The she thought about Aang No, she was strong she wouldn't fall helpless again into Aang's arms...that man she would find out who he was. Her feelings where strung tight like any teenage girl with fantasies, she didn't like being in love...there was war! everyone needed to chew the own fact that there are more important things then love.
Aang on the other hand, she didn't regret what she'd said. He needs to learn, he is the avatar. Peoples lives are in danger! lives are being washed away in the wrath of war, what is war? katara noticed she hadn't even touched her food, she wasn't hungry
she was hungry to fight.
Isn't the key to life happiness? like all blood it flows freely. Life should be free.
Cobwebs of ideas was forming in the young waterbenders mind, a true leader at heart. katara laid there looking at the stars if someone had placed them there. Her mother was one of the stars, she was her strength and courage. Feeling a wave of sadness come over her she felt saturated as a piece of wet leather torn and out of use. Strangely enough there was a sharp cackling and pop noise of a fire which buzzed around her, Katara languished the thought of the seasoned prince of the firenation. Oh if only he would come to his scenes...Aang did tell her that he saved him. But why?
She didn't think much of the fire and pretended to ignore it, it was Aang trying to impress her to make her apologize to him. He had no right to kiss her though, she shivered at the thought. but she valued the warmth of the fire tickling at her skin....it made her wake up a bit "Aang Sokka? I'm feeling better now." No one said anything, with haste she sat up, they where gone but wait?
now it was obvious that someone was sitting by the fire, there back turned if they where trying to block out her presence. "Oh I didn't see you there Aang...where is sokka?" Katara remembered that she should of known better, it was very easy to offend someone as gentle as Aang, so she slid back into her bed trying to not to say any questions which where bugging her dearly.
But Katara watched Aang, she didn't want him to see her because well, he might just get his hopes up to high. The figure seemed donned in heavy clothing, it must be chiller then she thought Aang never wore any heavy clothes But also Aang seemed confined to the fire...he was possibly trying to learn how to firebender....Nah. And how did that fire get there so fast? Sokka must at last finally found a rock trustworthing enough to make a good fire, Katara would laugh at that thought it would take her half the time he would try to make one. besides his result of failing to produce one he would send his rock catapulting into the woods.
Katara enjoyed thinking of the fun times she had....she was about to go to sleep when some words seemed to drift about the place
What is the color of water oh dear oh dear? tell me what it is?
The color of water I shall never tell but it's of you and me
the color of water the color of water....what is the color of water?
Oh dear.
Hot damn! Katara bolted up like whiplash.....she had forgotten the rest of the song words years ago. No....no! her head spinned that was not Aang the man sat there smiling making fear crease over Kataras face. "You never said......WHO ARE YOU!" The man laughed like a soft chuckle cross between a laugh which rippled goose-flesh over Kataras copper brown skin. The man had a very seductive tone in his voice
'Now now girl.....why do you want to know about me? I want to know about YOU
"No you don't! you already know me!" Katara shouted her voice tightened letting the man know she was in not a chatting mood. Katara was about to call on her small bind of water from the small spring beside her when the man's eyes flashed with arousingness to his powers. He snapped his fingers and a small spout of flames consumed his hands.
' Best play nice you girl, I don't think you want o be hurt....i don't want you to be'
Katara stood there in awe........that man....
