Our Present to the Future
PART 3
The Intergalactic Academy of Paranormal Science – June 27, 3017
For the first time ever, the Ghostbusters stood at the entrance to the halls of knowledge that would one day produce such great paranormal investigators as Futura and her brother Morrow. She was standing at the front gates herself, waiting patiently for them.
“Welcome to your legacy.”
They all stared at the campus in awe. The New York team had never gone to the future before, so they were amazed at all they saw, but even Jake and Eddie were speechless. Standing before them like two mighty sentinels were 30-foot bronze statues of their fathers. At the base of each statue was each man’s name and the title ‘Co-Founder of Modern Parmal mal Investigation’.
Jessica and Kayla wrapped their arms around their husbands. “What an honor,” Kayla said.
“They’ll be so proud when you tell them,” Jessica added.
“Yeah,” Eddie replied. “I wonder who decided to do that.”
“You’re looking at them,” Futura said.
“Oh, Tura! That was so sweet of you!” Jessica said.
“Not me. Them.” She ted ted at Egon, Ray, Peter and Winston. “They did it as an homage. The legend says they surprised you with it, but I guess since I just told you, that’s not true at all.”
“We built these statues?” Peter demanded. “How old is this place?”
“Older than you think.”
“Futura, who founded this place?” Winston asked suspiciously.
“Why, you all did, of course. Who better to educate the youth about being a Ghostbuster?”
When everyone’s mouth dropped open, Futura giggled and motioned for them to follow.
