Jail Bait
A new friend?
Note: In this chapter I have added a character just for fun from another show, Phineas and Ferb. I do not own him. Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh do. Also, this is not a crossover. I just felt like putting him in here as a joke. He may or may not come up again, I haven't decided yet. Probably not. Anyway, I'm rambling.
Dib gently snuggled the pleasant warmth next to him. Wrapping his arms around it, he pulled it closer to him and enjoying the comfort it gave him. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen and woke up. Zim was giving him an angry look. "What the hell do you think you're doing?! Just because we have a truce doesn't give you the right to handle me that way, human!!" Dib rubbed his sore spot. "Sorry, Zim. I guess I did it subconsciously." He honestly didn't know why he did that and if there was a reason, Dib wasn't sure he wanted to know. "Yeah, subconsciously. Right. Listen, next time stay on your side of the bed." The Irken turned away from him.
Zim sighed. He wondered how long they would be locked up in this joint. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the loud creek of the slightly rusted steel door opening. Two guards grabbed both males roughly and carried them out of the cell. "Time for your morning meal, ladies." One guard said. Zim's squeedily spooch growled. He hadn't eaten since yesterday morning and he was starving! He looked over and saw Dib lick his lips. The human must be hungry as well. Zim wasn't sure if Dib would even like the food here considering it's all alien food. They soon arrived to what appeared to be a mess hall. A big one at that. There were aliens of all different species eating what appeared to be some sort of gray mush on metal trays. The guards threw the two down on the floor at the end of a line. "Have a nice meal, ladies." The guards both chuckled and crossed to the other side of the mess hall, where they could watch their prisoners from a distance. Zim and Dib got up and waited for the line to move. They waited a good ten minutes before getting up to get their food. The mess hall worker handed them the gray mush on two metal trays. Both males proceeded to find a table. After locating one, Zim sat down on the bench seat with Dib sitting on the one across the table from him. Dib looked to his right to see a tall alien wearing the same prison garb sitting next to him. The alien had no nose and his eyes were more human like. He had pointed ears that were covered by a hat and his head shape was similar to a cat. The alien also wore a thin handle bar moustache that curled at the ends. He turned his head just in time to see Dib staring at him. "What do you want?" he asked in sort of a British accent. "Oh, nothing." Dib turned to his food and began eating. Surprisingly, the food wasn't all that bad. It tasted like oatmeal. Except it was thicker. The alien grabbed his arm before he could take another bite. "So, what are you in for? I haven't seen anyone the likes of you since I encountered those children who were helping my nemesis." "You have a nemesis?" Zim asked. The alien turned to him. "Yes, his name is Meap and he's very annoying." "I have a nemesis too! He's sitting right there but we have a truce." Zim stated matter-of-factly. "I was trying to destroy the Earth but Dib here always tried to stop me. Unfortunately, my leaders recently told me my mission was a lie and that I was exhiled. So, Dib and I decided to team up and take down the Irken empire. Sadly, we failed and ended up here in this filthy place." The alien smirked. "I like you. By the way, my name's Mitch. Although some of my friends call me Big Mitch." "My name's Zim. Nice to meet you." The two shook hands. The rest of breakfast went off without a hitch. Dib mostly just stayed out of the conversations Zim and Mitch were having. Zim had asked him why he had a moustache and Mitch explained that it was called a universal moustache translator and it translates what he says in his native language, which is just only saying "Meap," into whatever language the inhabitants of a planet are speaking. Mitch told Zim of how Meap had stolen the original one he had and so he had to make a new one. "So, why do you need a universal moustache translator?" Zim asked. "Well, I collect rare creatures and put them on display in my ship. However, when Meap busted me, he released all the ones I had and threw me in this dump." Zim nodded, then Dib spoke up. "So, this Meap is like, a space cop or something?" "Yes, sort of, I guess. He's shorter than me and he's got the biggest eyes I've ever seen. You humans think he's absolutely adorable." Mitch replied. "I also had a best friend, Collin. He was a balloon. Sadly, he was taken away from me when I was arrested so I never saw him again."Later, Dib and Zim were returned to their cell. They both sat down on the bed with nothing to do. "That was quite the conversation I had with Mitch. Maybe we'll see him again." Zim said. "Mmm-hmm." Dib replied and moved to lay down on the bed. "What? Were you bored by our conversation?" Zim wanted to know. "Eh, you guys had more in common than me and him or all of us together. I'm not an evil alien so I can't really relate." Dib closed his eyes. Zim, too, laid down on the bed a safe distance from Dib and closed his eyes as well.
