The Lyoko Effect

I am so sorry it took so long to write this chapter!! I had some major writers block, but hopefully I’ll get chapters out quicker than this one.

Chapter 2

“Yumi!” Ulrich yelled running onto the field, and stopping suddenly. “Oh shit!! This sucks!!” He yelled, seeing Yumi backing away from a pack of ravenous wolves. “Nice doggies??” he asked looking at Yumi with wide eyes.

“Mr. Delmas!!?” Odd cried out, “What are you doing here?!” Jéan looked around, confused as to where he was. It looked like a forest, but as he looked over the edge, he could see what appeared to be a strange yellow ‘sky’ way far down there.

“I was concerned about Aelita, I was talking to her and she ran out.”

“Talking about what?” Odd questioned.

“GUYS!!” Jeremie yelled through his microphone, “We don’t have time to discuss this now! Aelita, hurry to the tower; Odd, William you’re going to have to protect Mr. Delmas as you make your way to the tower. I don’t know what would happen if he got devirtualized, I don’t even know how he got into Lyoko! He doesn’t even show any health or stats! One hit could be enough to devirtualize him!”

“Right!” everyone agreed, heading to the tower making sure Mr. Delmas was in the middle of them.

Jeremie’s phone rang and he picked it up. “Hello Ulrich, what’s going on?”

“Can you guys hurry with deactivating the tower, we have a big problem here!!” he yelled into the phone.

“What’s the problem?”

“There’s a pack of wolves controlled by Xana!! And that’s not all, they’ve got some help from some of the students as well!! I don’t know how long we can run from them so tell them to hurry up!!” the phone was suddenly cut off and Jeremie swore quietly.

“You have to hurry!! Ulrich and Yumi are being attacked by wolves and some of the other students. Xana is getting better at possessing than he used to be. There’s some blocks and crabs blocking your way up ahead, so be careful alright?”

“Got ya, Einstein!!” Odd yelled, “Aelita, you stay back and make sure Mr. Delmas isn’t hit, me and William will take care of the monsters!!” Aelita and Jéan headed behind some rocks while the other two proceeded to attack the creatures.

“Aelita, what’s going on?” Jéan asked confused. “I don’t understand any of this!!”

“I don’t have time to explain all of this, just listen. You can’t get hit by any of the beams, so just stay out of the line of fire, alright?” he nodded and watched the battle unfold. William had taken care of two crabs while Odd took care of the other two. They then headed to attack the blocks, Aelita was too absorbed in the battle to notice the two blocks sneaking up on her and Mr. Delmas until one attacked, taking out 30 points of health from one shot. She gasped and turned, firing her energy orbs at them quickly.

“Jeremie!! Why didn’t you tell me they were attacking from behind!!” she yelled accusingly at him.

“They didn’t show up on the radar!!” he replied angrily.

“Princess!! You alright??” Odd yelled, coming from around the corner. She nodded and they headed out, the two boys having taken care of the other creatures.

“Yea, I still have 60 HP. I’ll be fine, let’s go!!” Aelita said, they all took off at a run heading to the tower. They came to a sudden stop, Xana had taken out a section of the ground that led directly to the tower. They could see it a ways off, it looked like an island floating in midair.

Aelita used her powers to make a bridge of ground, once it was complete they all ran across it only to stop as a megatank rolled from behind the tower.

“Oh boy!” Odd yelled, ginning happily. “My favorite!! I got this one guys!” He headed foreward to face the megatank, his tail swishing back and forth. “Come on big guy! I’m ready for you!” The megatank shot one of its lasers, Odd dodged and shot an arrow but missed.

While the megatank was busy, Aelita and the others quickly hurried around the two battlers. Making sure Aelita could make it to the tower. The megatank shot another blast from its laser.

“Aelita!!” Mr. Delmas shouted, shoving her out of the way of the beam. Everyone gasped as the beam headed straight for their helpless principal.

Evil me!! Don’t worry, I’m working on the next chapter right now. It will be much longer, but I promise to get it out as soon as possible. I have a good idea where to go from here so I shouldn’t have writers block (Hopefully!!) for a while!! I just had to leave it right here, it’s the perfect cliffy!! I know, very crappy Xana attack!! But I had no idea what else to do, I couldn’t think of anything really good but hopefully the next one will be more exciting!! Please review!! Thanks!
