The Loss of Zuko

Mokuba woke up to find he was flying through darkness. Every so often, images of another world flashed pass him, as though they were portals to another world. He looked ahead and saw that he was flying straight towards a huge hole, as wide as the tunnel and completely blocking it off, which was filled with demons, and magma, and torture devices. Then a monster flew out of the hole and started flying directly towards the boy.

Mokuba panicked, and, at the last second, reached out and caught hold of a hole that just led to the sky. Knowing it was his last chance, he managed to pull himself through the hole. Then he was falling…

The Avatar World

As Aang and the rest of his friends flew above the Earth Kingdom on Appa, he heard a distant sound.
“What’s that” he asked Katara, but she just shook her head in confusion. “I think it’s a boy.” Toph said. “And he’s screaming!”
“But the sound is coming from above us” Zuko noted. “How is that possible?”
“Look up!” shouted Aang. “A boy is falling from the sky! Appa, faster! Yip Yip!”
As they flew through the air Aang saw a huge monster flying after the boy. “Zuko, stop that monster!” Zuko threw a huge fireball at the monster, which clipped its wing. Unfortunately, all that did was enrage it and turn its attention to Zuko.
While Appa flew under the boy and Katara caught him in her arms, Aang and Zuko threw fireballs at the monster while Sokka and Suki tried to keep it from flying near them with their weapons and Toph tried to assist them, but, being blind, was unable to do anything.
Katara didn’t notice the monster, being too absorbed in the boy lying in her arms. By all the spirits, he’s sooo cute she thought. Just then he stirred in her arms.
“Where am I?” he asked, in a weak voice. Even his voice was cute.
“Don’t worry” Katara replied. “You’re safe now.”
As the boy drifted off to sleep in her arms, exhausted, Katara could only stare in horror as the monster, tired of trying to get to the boy, instead grabbed Zuko and flew back through the dimensional hole it came from.
