Mr. Smithers Proposal
A limosine pulls up beside Lisa as she walks home from school on Friday. There is nobody else around and she is suddenly feeling afraid for her safety. She sighs in relief when the window rolls down and she sees that it is only Mr. Smithers. She has nothing to fear from Mr. Smithers. She knows that he has the hots for his boss Mr. Burns and that girls aren't his thing. "Lisa," He asks, "How would you like a ride home?" It is starting to get cold so she decides to accept his offer. They ride in the limo for bit in silence when Mr. Smithers nervously speaks up. "So, how is school going Lisa?" Mr. Smithers asks. "Getting A's as usual." She responds wondering what he is up to. "I presume you want to go to the best college available." He states looking down at his hands. "I'd love to," Lisa replies looking down at her first frowning, "but I can't afford to go to the best college. My only chanse is to work real hard and hope to get a scholarship." Mr. Smithers looks over at her faking shock. "Your father doesn't money put aside for your college education!!!" He exclaims, "You are aware that only a small number of people actually get a scholarship and that if you don't get one you may end up having to go to comunity college don't you?!" Lisa glares at Mr. Smithers thinking he is making fun of her. "Of course I know that." She growls, "I am not Bart!" Mr. Smithers is surprised by Lisa's burst of anger. He did not expect that from her. "Please calm down Lisa!" He pleads. "I am only bringing it up because I think I know of a way that can get you into any college you want for as long as you want." Lisa sits back and eyes Mr. Smithers. "That depends on what it is that you are proposing." She replies. "And, of course, I will need a chanse to read over the contract." Mr. Smithers sighs and hangs his head looking as if he is about to cry. "Mr. Burns is dying," He sobs, "and there is only one option left available to him." He sniffs back some tears and looks up at her. "Mr. Burns wants to father a child." He explains. Lisa interupts him, "Doesn't he already have a son?" She asks. Mr. Smithers snorts in contempt. "That useless waste. His mother was white trash." He snears. "We have to find someone of good jeans." He explains. "It involves surgery that is not legal in the United States so you'd have to make up an excuse to go away for the month." He tells her the rest of what the plan is falls silent. Lisa sits back and an evil smirk comes over her face making Mr. Smithers gasp. She looks like Mr. Burns twin so much he almost pissed his pants. "Okay," She finally responds. "I'll do it. Just give me the paperwork to sign." Mr. Smithers hands it to her, his hands trembling. 'What is she planning?' He wonders. 'She obviously has some sort of secret agenda. I will have to keep a close eyes on her.' Lisa reads over the contract as they drive towards her house. "I see Mr. Burns has already signed it." She comments before signing it herself. She gets out of the vehicle without looking back. A plan on how to get away for the month has already formulated in her mind.
Two Days Later
Lisa packs her suitcase and heads downstairs to the frontdoor. Her plan has worked fabulously. Her parents are completely fooled. Not only did they believe her story about winning a secret contest run by Mr. Burns but they also gave her some spending money for her free time. A half an hour later a limo pulls up in front of the house and she climbs in letting the driver put her luggage in the trunk.
