Zim against the world

At Zim’s base, Zim suddenly felt calmer. More at ease. He knew where everything was, where the control panels were, where all the entrances to his lab were, he even knew all the places where Gir had drawn on the wall or stained something. Zim pushed past Dib, leading the way inside the base. Everything was just like he had remembered…. A little dustier, but just like he remembered. Some small indents on the wall showed where the panels were.

Dib glares at Zim as he pushes ahead. “Well I see your just as dominant as ever.”

Zim tensed as his mind went back to the awkward position they had been in, minutes before. Thinking that Dib was talking about that, he blushed and lowered his eyes, not noticing when Dib came up behind him and nudged him in the shoulder. “Hey, what’s wrong? I was talking about you pushing past me just now you dope.”

Zim’s blush deepened and he crossed his arms. “I knew that, I was just…. Looking for the control panel that brings up the screen.”

This was a lie of course. The panel was near the monkey picture that hung over his couch. He simply had to press it and the picture would rise, the screen appearing behind it. Zim walked over and pressed it, the picture sliding up and the blank screen showing. He quickly fiddled with some things, trying to get it to work after so long.

Dib came up behind him. “What are you doing?” He asked curiously.

Zim didn’t answer, his eyes lighting up as the screen turned on, the symbol of Irk appearing on it. “I’m gonna make a call.” He answered, his eyes glittering. “Stand back so they don’t see you.”

Dib did as he asked, looking at him curiously.

Zim punched in some things and suddenly an alien appeared on the screen.

“This is prisoner 777, how can I help- Zim! It’s you! Long time no see.”

A small smile tugged Zim’s lips. “Hey there.” He smirks, a look in his eyes that the prisoner knew only too well. “I need some help.”……..

Yeah, this isn’t even a real chapter, it’s too short. Basically I wrote it because I feel really bad. I’m going to be leaving for ten days and I probably won’t be able to post ANYTHING during that time. (Kills stuff) I’m so sorry…. But there isn’t anything I can do about it. Please forgive me.
