"We have him, master," Naugus announced as the roboticized hedgehog was brought inot the command center.
"Excellent, now, to get the word out," Mogul began and closed his eyes, his powers reaching out to the other chaos entity.

'New god of Chaos!'
'Mamoth Mogul! Just what do you want?' Shadow asked.
'We have that uncle of that blue hedgehog's...you and he will come to the city by yourselves and do battle with myself and Naugus. You win and you get the old man back...you lose...'
'Silience! We'll be there.'

"Go get the ohters, we have a problem," Shadow said and the white kitsume ran off to gather the others.

"I don't like this. This is bad timing. sonic can't fight Naugus successfully...even with a poweer ring," Sally began after the two hedgehgs had blasted out of Knothole.
"Y'all will have to have faith in ole sugah-hog Sallygirl," Bunnie said.
"I'd feel better if Sentinal was recharged," Sally said.
"Annalysis complete."
"Took long enough...okNicole, let's have it," Sally requested.
"You and Sonic were exposed to the power of more power rings than Sonic has ever used in his life. Your bodies obsorbed a lot of that power."
"Get on with it Nicole," Sally said impatiently.
"In theory, if you and Sonic were to activate a power ring together then it will bring out the power of the deep power stones."
"How sure of this are you Nicole?"
"78.87125% certainty factor, Sally," Nicole reported.
"Well, at least that's better than a fifty fifty shot," Sally breathed.

"We're here, now let him go!" Sonic demanded.
"No, not until we've had our fun," Mogul chuckled.
"Fun? when I'm done you'll regret this!" Sonic shouted.
"Mogul, you think you can beat me?" Shadow questioned and transformed into Super Shadow.
"Not this tired form," Mamoth Mogul sighed.
"You think that this is the limitations of the emerald of Chaos?" Shadow snarled and the golden light intensified.
"What are you doing?" Mogul asked.

"Sir, the Chaos readings of the other hedgehog continues to double every five seconds!" Snively cried out.
"Good, maybe we don't even have to lift a finger," Robotnik grinned.

"Let me introduce you to..." Shadow began and the golden flare was replaced with a platinum glow, which the same color that his quills and most of his body was as well.
"Hyper Shadow," he introduced.
"Impossible!" Mogul shouted.
"I am the ultimate life form...but if you need more proof of that," the new hyper form of Shadow began and a blast of chaos energy smashed into Mogul's chest, sending him crashing to the ground.
"Do you think your newly powered up friend can beat my master?" Naugus taunted.
'Just get past him and get Uncle Chuck outta here,' Sonic thought to himself. He pulled out a ring and prepared himself.
"Do you think that'll help you hedgehog?"
"I'm going to shut you up!" Sonic shouted and raised the ring into the air. It glowed and was about to release the energy, but it stopped glowing.
"Huh? What happened?" Sonic asked himself.
"Hehehe, guess you using the deep power stones has effected your use of power rings," Naugus laughed.
"Grrrr," Sonic growled and leapt into a spinning buzz saw and launched himself at the mage.
"You have tapped into something that Chaos never was able to tap into," Mogul said.
"That's because he refused to use his powers the same reason I am," Shadow replied.
"And what would that reason be?" Mogul inquired.
"I have no reason to answer that," Shadow retorted and avoided a blast from Mogul.
"You think that protecting the weak will make you strong enough? Fool!" Mogul spat and fired off a blast.
"You are to slow Mogul! chaos blast!" Shadow cried out and the other being with chaos powers was driven back to the ground.
"I'm having fun, but this game is over," Naugus snickered.
'Ok, one more time,' Sonic thought and leapt inot a buzz saw spin, which Naugus telelported out of the way.
"You giving up now?" Naugus asked.
"Nah, but should have knocked me away instead of letting me get over here," sonic taunted.

"Snively...when has the hedgehog showed that much brain power?"
"Never sir...but Naugus played with the hedgehog too much," Snively replied.
"And why didn't the power ring work?"
"I don't know sir," Snively answered.

"Looks like we got who we came here for," Shadow began and Sonic quickly rushed over to join him.
"And where do you think you're going?" Mogul asked.
"Chaos...control!" Shadow shouted and in a burst of platinum light, the three hedgehogs vanished.

"Oh Shadow," Maria said, looking down at her sleeping hedgehog. He tapped into something that the one beofre him couldn't tap into.
"I'm so proud of you," she said and kissed the sleeping hedgehog.

"That's why the ring didn't work?" Sonic asked.
"it's just a theory Nicole has," Sally began.
"And probably a good one at that," Charles piped up. "I sort of based the poweer rings on the deep power stones after studying them for your father. It was one of those Great war projects that really didn't get off the ground."
"So me and Sal now have to use a ring now?" Sonic asked.
Yes, at the same time of course," the old hedgehog said.
"Sally..." Sonic began.
"Don't you even dare sonic Hedgehog."
Sonic sighed, "just trying to..." he started but was quieted by a kiss.
'To protect me? I know, but we used the stones together and we have to do this together, ok?"
"Ok."
'They are the key to ending this, once and for all. Hope Max can understand that though," Sir Charles thought to himself. It was going to be difficult for Sonic to put his blood mate at risk like that, but Sally, in her own way, was just as stubborn as the blue hedgehog was.
