Chapter 13: Alliance


Zim paced back and forth in front of the door to his lab, where Dib was resting, still soaked in blood. The Irken was caught in a serious inner debate; what if he were to make the Dib an ally of himself and the Irken Empire? Although GIR was at the highest level of service he had ever been at, there was something to be said for the human’s loyalty and intelligence. But he still felt uneasy. What if Dib turned on him? Could he rely on GIR to protect him?

Zim stopped, frowning. Since when was he helpless? He could take Dib in a fight any day and win hands down, especially since he was almost a foot taller than Dib now.

Taking a deep breath, Zim walked through the door, going over to Dib and putting a hand on his shoulder.

Dib jumped to his feet and saluted.

Zim nodded. “I have decided to accept your proposal for alliance," his eyes narrowed dangerously, "but mark my words, Dib, if you so much as think of trying to betray me, I will tear you to shreds and dump your organs in the city cesspool.”

Dib nodded, extending a hand. “To the downfall of Earth, and the rise of the Irken Empire.”

Zim grinned and shook Dib’s hand, a sense of the impending conquest creeping ever nearer filling his very being. And with that conquest…revenge.
