The Fan

All hell had broken loose in the city of Townsville. Him had created a horde of nightmarish monsters to run rampant throughout the city. The police had their hands full and were in a bind when unable to reach the Mayor. All power was down, making contact with the outside world for help impossible. And amongst all this devastation Him stood or rather hovered over the city, admiring his handiwork.

*Now all I need is Bubbles and I will be invincible!* he chuckled until a nearby explosion shook him out of his reverie. "Hmmm." He stared at the flaming corpse of one of his creations. "So she's come out of hiding."

"My sisters," Him was certain that was Bubbles but there was something different in the voice. He turned and stared at the newly energized Bubbles with mild shock and amusement. "Where are they? I'll only ask once."

"Their having fun with Lenny back at the Mayor's office!" Him grinned. "I must say that giving that human some of my own power and turning him loose on this city was a stroke of genius!"

Bubbles glared. "Each one. You'll pay for each person you've hurt! Lenny will get his but first I'm going make sure you never hurt another living thing again!" In an instant she'd appeared in front of Him, slamming her fist into his nose, and sending Him flying into a building.

"Grrrr, so you're not just all looks!" Him leapt into the air, firing his eyebeams. Bubbles dodged and returned the favor with her own set of eyebeams, knocking Him out of the sky. "YOU'LL PAY!" He took flight again, attacking with a flurry of punches and kicks. The two battled back and forth over the near-demolished Townsville. "I'm going to enjoy seeing Lenny have his way with you!" He planted a boot into Bubbles' midsection, causing the girl lurch forward. "He's going to make you scream.....just like your sisters!" He grabbed handfuls of her hair as he spun her around wildly before throwing her into a building. "Now burn with the rest of this filth!" The building exploded from the fury of his eyebeams.

"Is that the best you got?" Him's eyes went wide. That voice came from....above! He looked up to come face to face with Bubbles. She smirked. "Your going to have to do a lot better than that if you wanna beat me!"

Him sneered. "Then how about this!" He unleashed the full force of his eyebeams, engulfing Bubbles in searing crimson energy. When the light faded and the smoke cleared Him was shocked to see that Bubbles was hovering at the exact same spot she'd been. *Impossible! How can she survive a blast that close!?!* He didn't let her see his emotions, hiding them with a mask of smugness. "Impressive."

"Would you like another crack at it?" Bubbles smiled.

"Actually I'd rather have another blow at it!" Inhaling a deep breath, he let loose a blast of ice that left Bubbles encased inside a block of crystallized water. Him watched as the Puffcicle crashed to the ground. "Now to finish you off!" With the stolen abilities of Blossom and Buttercup in his arsenal, Him's body became engulfed in a sphere of energy. He slammed into the ground, obliterating everything in sight from the impact. When it was all done Him was standing in a deep crater. "Poor girl. You didn't really think you could win did you?" He rose into the air. "It's just too bad I had to destroy you. No matter. I'm still unbeatable by human standards." A monster not too far away let out a roar of anguish before crashing to the ground. "NOW WHAT?" Several of his creations were being systematically defeated. It just couldn't be....no that was impossible. No one could survive an attack of that magnitude. His eyes narrowed as he used his exceptional sight to find the culprit. He found three of them! The Rowdyruff Boys in all their splendor were laying waste to his monsters. If they were alive then that meant that Mojo was responsible. Him grinned. "Too bad he couldn't have made them older. In their child forms their no match for me!"

"Him!" That voice made Him's blood run cold. He slowly turned around to confirm his suspicions. Her clothes were a bit tattered here and there, and her lithe body was covered in scratches and burns. Despite these injuries she stood just as tall and angry as before. "Where do you think your going? We're not done yet!" A sadistic smile formed on her lips.

And for the very first time Him was experiencing an emotion he'd never felt before.
