Sentinal sat by the ring pool, staring out into the night sky. His thoughts were on whether or not he should stay. He was causing too much turmoil in this band of rebels, but where else could he go?
"Y'all care for some company?"
"I don't know if I'll be the best of company tonight, Bunnie," Sentinal said with a sad smile.
"Now what's got y'all down, Sugah?"
"I'm causing a rift..."
"Now y'all hold on there, Sallygirl and her father have been arguing with one another from before y'all came."
"True, but I've made the problem worse."
"Oh now don't say that. Y'all just doing things that the king don't like, but Sally does. And don't go thinkin' about leavin', 'cause I'd be upset and I'd hunt you down and drag you back ta Knothole."
Sentinal smiled," I have no doubts about that."
"How come y'all hate ol' Naugus so?"
"Andora."
"Andora? Who...?"
"Second of the Acorn daughters in that time. When the war got to a point where the king became paranoid about the safety of his family, he pulled me from the front lines and ordered me to protect Andora."
"Let me guess, you two didn't really like each other much huh?"
"Nope. While the king's eldest daughter had some tomboy traits, Andora was a full fledge tomboy. She hated me hangin around her constantly, but when Naugus tried to kill her the first time, she realized that I wasn't trying to make her feel like she could protect herself. I was carrying orders and she quickly found out that she was no good at fighting off Naugus."
"Then y'all fell for each other?"
"Slowly, but yes, we did. Then, came that day that changed everything. Naugus killed her and made it look like I did it. Now, I want to avenge her and put that bastard into the ground."
"Easy their sugah," she said, her furry hand on his shoulder.
"Sorry, remembering all that just pisses me off," he growled, letting out his claws and retracting them.
"Y'all know what Sallygirl is up to?"
"No, but leaving without telling her father and only going with Sonic...she's trying to stick it up her father's ass."
"What could be going through that little ol' head of hers?"
"Hmmmm, she's probably trying to find a way to marry Sonic...or..."
"Or, what?"
"Or be his blood mate."
"Blood-mate?"
"Yeah, but from what I can tell, that practice is no longer followed. It's some ancient ritual that mixed the blood of two people that are in love," Sentinal explained.
"Sentinal...do you ever want your robotic parts..."
"Gone? I couldn't function without them. But, you could live without yours, so don't go trying to keep them on the count of me. Order knows I don't need that responsibility on my shoulders. If you are hinting at what I think you're hinting at then I don't want you to live like I do," he said and to make his statement stronger, he pulled aside the flesh of his face on the left side. Bunny shivered at the sight and Sentinal covered that part of his face back up.
"Don't worry, I want these ol' metal legs and arm gone. And, I'm surprised you caught on to what I was hinting at."
"I might be a dumb male, but I'm not that dumb," Sentinal said with a smile. Bunnie cuddled against him and would soon fall asleep. Sentinal sighed. Had this been two or even three hundred years ago, he would tried to push the rabbit away. Now, though, he felt ready to move on from Andora.

She sat, in his lap, as the two took a rest beside a stream. They had been traveling for most of the night and for most of the early morning hours of the following day. They were only a couple of hours from the base of the Northeastern freedom fighter group.
The group was in such a remote region, that it would have taken Robotnik too long to find them. However, they still lent support to the resistance. However, they were mostly a fall back point should Knothole ever be discovered by the evil trinity that was running Robotropolis.
"Sal, you still haven't told me what you're plannin, and don't tell me you're not plannin 'cause I know when you've been plannin," Sonic let out and Sally chuckled lightly to herself.
"You know me too well. Don't worry, I'll tell you when I know for sure I can pull it off."
"Ok, I trust you, but..." he started but Sally hushed him with a kiss. He wouldn't say another word about what she was planning for the rest of the trip.

Snively sighed to himself. He was now being held under gunpoint by Nack's thugs. He could hear Nack talking to probably Robotnik or Naugus back in the city.
"That's right, I have him, and if you want him, then you can just pay me a nice little tidy sum," Nack began.
"You will bring him here and you will not get paid," Mammoth Mogul said, now breaking into the conversation.
"Now listen here, I expect to be..." Nack began, but Mammoth snapped his fingers and Nack's went glassy.
"What was that?" Mammoth asked.
"I will bring Snively to y9u with needing any payment," Nack said, enchanted. The others looked on in shock. Mammoth could cast a spell that far away? Fear ran through them and they wondered if their services would be put to better use in fighting Mammoth Mogul.

"Venerable Justice?"
The elderly cat turned to see who was addressing him. The younger Mobians didn't bother him. They were too busy fighting the war and he preferred it like that.
"Mrow, you are from that group in Knothole," he said and sniffed. "and, you're an Acorn."
"That's correct. I need your judicial experience on a matter," Sally requested.
"Mrow, and just what can I do to help?" he asked and Sally explained the situation. The elderly feline got to his feet and slowly made his way to a shelf of old, large books. He pulled one out, and sat back down. He made little hissing and growling sounds as he went through the book.
"Mrow, here we go...royal blood-mate ritual. This ought to solve your problem, but it needs to be preformed by a member of the cloth, or a judge."
"I don't think we've got a minister in any of the groups...your honor, can you perform the ceremony?" Sally asked hopefully.
"Mrow, just answer this one question. Is he worth it?"
"He is."
"If it came down to him or the throne of Mobius, which would you choose?"
"Titles mean nothing. I'd choose him."
"You have true love. Bring the male to me and I shall perform the ceremony right here and now. We'll keep it quiet as I suspect you wish until your father gets the bad news?" he asked, his teeth gleaming in the sunlight that came through the nearby window.
Yes," Sally affirmed and with a nod of dismissal, Sally ran out to collect Sonic.
