Chapter 10

Buttercup had decided right away that she wouldn't give Lenny the pleasure of seeing her cry. He'd taken something from her that he had no right to. She wondered if Susy and Jill had felt the same way after being violated by this psychopath. She felt like she was going to vomit, remembering Lenny's filthy hands exploring every part of her body. So far she'd been able to piece together a large portion of this mystery. Him and Lenny were working together, the demon supplying Lenny with supernatural strength and speed.
"Hey there," speak of the devil. Lenny knelt at Buttercup's side, holding a tray of food. "Hungry?"
Buttercup glared at him. The audacity! Did he not realize what he'd done? He'd just raped her, and now he was acting as if it had been nothing at all. If she just had a fraction of her power she'd make him suffer for what he'd done to her! Instead, she had to settle for staring at the man with unbridled hatred.
"Don't be stubborn." Lenny set the tray down. "I won't let anything happen to you. I'll keep you safe." Sensing his master's return, Lenny turned just as Him materialized into existence with an unconscious Blossom in his arms.
"BLOSSOM!" Buttercup struggled in vain. With her powers gone she couldn't even make the chains budge. "She better not be hurt!"
"She's no worse off than you!" Him replied. "Now if you don't mind I'm a bit famished." The same slithering organ that stole Buttercups abilities snaked it's way into Blossom's mouth. The pink puff's body tensed as Him absorbed her very essence, leaving a weak shell of a girl that he tossed aside. "Ah, simply marvelous!" Him's body cackled with energy as he underwent another horrifying transformation. His remaining pincher becoming a massive hand with hideous talons, he grew two feet in height, and a six foot long reptilian tail sprouted from the backside of his armor which had now turned completely black. "So much power! And soon I shall be complete!" He fixed his cruel gaze on Lenny, who was staring at his new toy. "It's time to finish this game!" He stomped towards Buttercup, towering over green puff. "Your going to be reunited with your sister!"
"What are we going to do?" Lenny asked, perplexed. He wanted to play with his new catch.
"We're going to pay the Mayor a visit! Now gather your pets!" Him waited patiently as Lenny freed Buttercup from her shackles then scooped up Blossom's unconscious form.
There was no use in struggling. Buttercup knew she couldn't escape from either villain. She was just glad that her sister was spared the horror she had to go through. "What are going to do ya ugly bastard!"
"All in due time!" Him laughed as the group was enveloped in a bright light.
"D-DADDY!" Bubbles stumbled into the house, clutching her bloodied shoulder.
"Bubbles!" Utonium was at her side in an instant, helping her to his lab.
"I'm sorry, Daddy...." Bubbles sobbed, wincing as Utonium cleaned her wound. "It was Him. He....he got Blossom. I couldn't....."
"Shhhh," Utonium hushed her. "You did everything you could, Honey. I'm just glad that your safe."
"What are we gonna do, Dad? Him is stronger than he was when we were kids! Me and Blossom couldn't take him. How can I stand a chance alone?"
Utonium sighed, pondering that very question. "If only we could make you stronger...THAT'S IT!" He immediately ran to his tools and set to work. "I'm just going to have to give you an energy boost!" Even if he managed to pull this off there was still the chance that Him would outmatch Bubbles. What she needed was some backup. A grim smile formed on his face. He knew just where to get it. "Let me patch you up, Bubbles. Then I have a phone call to make." The blue puff blinked in confusion. "Time to call in a favor."
He wasn't surprised when the phone ringed. He'd already been working hard on something to help the Powerpuff Girls after seeing the news report. Him was back and up to know good. "Hello. Yes, I've seen the news. What? Both girls! Yes, yes, I'll be glad to assist you in any way." Mojo Jojo rubbed the bridge of his nose. "So you have a plan?"
